Due to all the rain in the month of May it was sort of hard to schedule this work - no fault of his, of course. He did a pretty good job of communicating with me about when he would be there and what he was going to do.

One of the cinder blocks on my house's foundation was starting to crumble. I called Robert D Brown Masonry, and within a couple of days, Robert and his son came out to give me an estimate. They looked at the cinder block I'd found, pointed out a couple of other blocks that were starting to disintegrate, and checked my basement to see how bad the problem was. The basement was fine, it turned out that it was only the exterior of the blocks that were a problem. Two days later they came back and patched up my foundation. They also recommended that I have my foundation painted with something that will prevent the problem from happening again. The work they did looks great! The blocks in my foundation aren't regular cinder blocks, they actually have a stonelike textured surface, and Robert was able to texture his repairs so they blend right in. I am very pleased with the work, and with how quickly they were able to get the job done.

Mr. Brown's estimate was the lowest. Sometimes I hesitate to go with the lowest bidder. Seeing previous good reports on Angie's List, and experiencing Mr. Brown's professionalism when he checked out the site to provide the estimate, convinced to me the lowest estimate was the best in this case. This was a very challenging job -- the pillar he rebuilt is constructed of natural stone of various sizes. He studied the pillar and drew diagrams before dismantling it. The stone was carefully stacked so the crew knew what was where. The reconstructed result looks better than the original!.

I had a cinder block that had a hole in it that was leaking water into the basement. He got the work done in a couple of hours, did a great job and would use him again. He was also very polite and very courteous.

I LIKE THAT HE DID HIS WORK AND THERE WAS NO TIME WASTED. HE GOT RIGHT TO THE JOB AND GOT IT DONE. HE WAS VERY GOOD. HE RETURNED PHONE CALLS PROMPTLY AND I WOULD USE HIM AGAIN.
