It took him an extra day to complete the job. It was in the contract that $250 would be deducted from the final bill for every day that he went over, and I did not ask for that deduction. He and the painters were screaming back and forth at one another. He didn't clean up any of the plaster dust that was left behind. He gives the impression of being a very nice guy, but he doesn't follow though. He should never have signed a contract if he wasn't able to complete all of the projects. I have to get my house on the market, and I don't have time to wait for him to follow through on all of this. I would like $1500 in reimbursement for the jobs that he did not complete that I am having to pay other people to correct.
Description of Work: I hired him for interior painting, some exterior, and handyman work. We had a written contract which he signed. Part of the contract was that he was going to paint all closets. He didn't paint all of them, and when I asked why, he said there was wallpaper in them. He should have consulted me about that. He was suppose to fill in the holes from the tack strips on all of the floors in the 6 rooms, and he didn't do that. He was suppose to install 10 light fixtures, but only did one. He said he wasn't capable of installing them all, but they were all in the contract. I asked him to put one coat of primer and two coats of paint on every wall (wallpaper is being removed from every wall that he was painting). He decided that it only needed the tinted primer and one coat, and now I can see the cut out marks! I am having to pay another painter to add another coat. My kitchen is cream, and he decided to paint the pantry taupe to match the living room, not the kitchen! He also painted one of the bathrooms a different color than we agreed on. There was a 4 foot partition, and originally it was in the contract to paint it. We verbally agreed to remove it instead of paint it, and he wanted to charge EXTRA to remove it, when that took less time than painting it would have.
