Kirk came out gave us an estimate and was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The roofers had to remove two layers of shingles and replace all the old wood. Excellent hard workers. They did an excellent job on the roof and clean up. Very pleased with how great it looks. I would definitely recommend

This is the second time we have hired Richardson Exteriors, and both times we have been pleased with the work. Several of our exterior boards were damaged. Richardson Exteriors replaced the damaged boards and covered all of our trim with aluminum to prevent further damage. The finished product looks great. The crew worked hard all day and completely cleaned up the area.

Very well. I didn't even have to take time off of work. The price was fair. The gentleman that I met with was friendly and took the time to explain everything.

I got a quote from Richardson and a date for the completion. The repairman kept in touch when there were rain delays, which I appreciate. When I saw the completed work the fasteners were oddly placed and unsightly from the street. I called and the problem was resolved quickly and professionally. I rated high because, even though there was an issue, they responded so well and the results were well done.

We were very happy with the work we had performed by Richardson Exteriors. Ron was recommended by several neighbors when I asked for recommendations to repair a portion of siding that was coming off. When he came out to look at it, he told me that he didn't think it would be possible to replace just that section because the siding was so old, but that he thought he'd be able to get our insurance to help us out. (The siding was coming off due to storm damage.) My insurance company was awful about dragging their feet, but Ron was able to convince them that the whole house needed to be re-sided in order to make everything fit together correctly and match (at one point they suggested painting the old vinyl!!!). It was a long process and I thank Ron for persevering with me, as I know I would have given up. Because he was able to get the insurance company to cover the siding, we were able to replace the windows too, which made me SO happy. We had original 1950's windows that were awful. We also decided to use the opportunity of the siding being off to add insulation to the walls, since there was none in them at all. Ron recommended a great company and was able to coordinate all of that with them, so we were able to get everything done at the same time and save on labor expenses. I love coming home to my cute house now, and would highly recommend talking to Ron if you need services. We plan to call him when we're ready to replace the roof in a few years. Also, the team who did the work was great, and they worked very hard and were very nice and knowledgeable. They asked questions about details (what to cover, what not) that I wouldn't have even thought to think about.

I was contacted by Paul explaining the services provided via email along with an estimate. I was impressed by the information given via this email and after reading reviews on Ange's List I hired this company. They came out within days and did a wonderful job.

The manager came out promptly and gave a professional estimate. We asked him to do this job because of prior good performance. This time, while the windows are fine, the work lagged on and at least one part of the work team was not so careful, which resulted in a small carpet stain. It was a bit frustrating to have to live with the mess of window replacement for a longer time period than we had been expecting. The manager was conscientious about calling/returning calls, but it seems the company might need to rethink its strategy for engaging timely, reliable work crews. All said, we would still consider engaging Richardson Exteriors for the next window replacement job, but would ask for more accountability.

Excellent communication & great work. While working, Ron discovered rot under our existing siding. He was great about keeping us informed of what he found. The trim and damaged wood was replaced.

Ron returned my call within one business day and scheduled a visit to come discuss and review my project. He listened to my needs and indicated that they could accomplish what I needed without a problem. He then asked if I might be open to another option as a full replacement of my trim wasn't necessary and I could accomplish similar results for less cost. We then discussed the "wrapping" of my existing trim. It would look just as good, be just as durable, and require very little, if any, maintenance. Most importantly, it would be about half the cost. I decided to take Ron's advice and I chose the wrapping option. The results of their work turned out even better than I expected. My trim looks great and it took the team less than two days to complete the work.

The new roof looks great! Our house is a ranch with a back porch, so it took a couple of days to complete. Peak vents were included and new drip liners. They also had to take extra steps because of a rain that came in the night between days 1 and 2. They also did a great cleanup job at the end of the installation. Highly recommend.

After almost a year of research and meeting with various siding companies around town, we decided to work with Richardson Exteriors. Ron was the only person that understood our vision -- and could actually make it happen. He helped us come up with a plan that would best deliver what we were looking for, and was able to keep us in our budget! We thought James Hardie was well out of our price range (after talking to numerous other companies), but their pricing made this possible for us. The siding crew was hard-working and very friendly, which made this large project easier on us. My calls and questions were always answered quickly. If we have any other exterior projects, we will use them again.

My initial interview with Ron went very well, he was quite confident and knowledgeable, suggesting solutions to venting problems rather than just covering up problem areas with fresh paint. His estimate was very competitive with those of 3 other companies, and his suggestion of a full aluminum vented soffit to replace our old rotting unvented wood soffit sounded great. He was also the only company to suggest wrapping the woodwork of our dormers with trim coil, to avoid future maintenance headaches in areas that we can't easily reach. Overall, he was very thoughtful and knowledgeable, corresponding well with research I had done on the appropriate solutions to our problem areas. At the time of the estimate, November 2016, we were quoted 8 weeks out. As another reviewer experienced this winter, there were substantial delays (several months) from the quoted start date. Unfortunately over-promising on timelines seems to be a strong trend in the construction trades, so I was not altogether surprised, and we had communicated that we did not have an urgent timeline, so I was not really concerned with the delay. It may be that there was an unusual scheduling problem this winter, and Richardson may be normally prompt. I have no frame of reference to know. The work itself was done quite professionally and is of excellent quality. Rodney the installer was there early every morning, very friendly and competent. The worksite was kept very tidy. When I had a question regarding whether trim coil was to be installed, Rodney consulted with Ron and resolved the issue quickly exactly as I wanted. Overall, Richardson delivered a professional and very satisfactory experience. I have confidence in the quality of the work they did, and it was done at a very reasonable cost.

Ron Richardson came out himself to provide an estimate and suggestions on replacement materials. We felt so comfortable with him we didn't bother getting other bids. His employee, Rod, showed up as scheduled and did a meticulous job with all of the above. He also made sure the yard was cleaned up afterwards as well. We highly recommend Richardson Exteriors!!

We are very happy with the service we received. The work was done in a timely manner, the new gutters look wonderful, and the workman were very careful to clean up after each phase of construction.

I made the initial contact to request an estimate for carpentry work in my kitchen remodel and got no reply. Over the past few weeks, I started rating companies for no response. I spend a lot of time researching companies and reading reviews. Companies should respond even if they are unable to assist as a sign of their professionalism

Ron was great to work with. This roof was an insurance claim on a rental property, and he took time to come to the house multiple times to meet with the insurance adjustor to make sure everything I needed was covered. The crew showed up when promised, and completed the entire job in < 48 Hrs. I showed up the next day to take a look and other than the new roof, would have never known they were there. I've used Richardson Exteriors several times in the past on other homes and will continue to go to them in the future.

DO NOT use this company for any type of roofing work! They come across as a very nice and trustworthy company. However, the work that was promised to us, did not happen. When I pointed items out to Mr. Richardson - rotten wood, gaps in boards and fascia not replaced, I was informed that they would take a look at these items but if THEY felt it was "acceptable", then they would charge me for the extra work. I trusted him. However, my partner did not. So, we agreed to have another roofing company come to the house to inspect the roof. To our horror, he found several more major issues with their work. Including: lack of flashing, incorrectly vented, treated wood for decking (which is subject to warp and twist) and "Sub-standard and sub-professional workmanship". WE contacted the City Building Department with our concerns. At that time, I was informed that Richardson Exteriors did not file for a permit. I contacted Mr. Richardson and asked him to supply me with a building permit and that I wanted him to have the City inspect the property. Apparently, he filed for the permit using the incorrect address... After pushing for the property to be inspected, Richardson Exteriors had the City Building Inspector look over their work. They were found to have several violations, and our house failed the inspection! NOW, they want to come to the property and "correct" the issues. According to the Professional Roofing Company inspection, combined with the City Inspection, the roof needs to be completely replaced - Please ask yourself...Would you want the same company to come out and try again after trying to pull the wool over your eyes and say everything was done correctly???? WE Do Not!! Our Hugest mistake was to not have gone with a True Professional in Roofing alone!! Currently, to top this nightmare of the shoddy, negligent workmanship of Richardson Exteriors, they have the nerve to file a claim against me to pay them. Really?!!! I have included only a few of the many pictures we have obtained depicting this company's slipshod and negligent workmanship!!

Really well. I'd had a mixed experience with communication and scheduling on a prior job with this company but this time all went well. The work was completed within a day and cleaned up properly. The new siding matches the older siding well. I'm planning to use them for further work and will do so with more confidence now.

They were able to fit us in with a few weeks' notice, and were done the job in 2 days. It looks great. I only wish there was better communication, as they didn't confirm their start date. Overall, a great business that I would definitely hire again.

The entire job went very well. Ron made sure our questions were answered throughout the duration of the job. Kirk handled the coordination and timing of the work teams efficiently. And Rodney, their main construction supervisor, has a remarkable work ethic as well as thorough knowledge and skills to guarantee a professional job from every angle. There was never a problem with clean-up or debris at the end of every work day. They hauled away all old job-related materials and made sure the yard was tidy. We had hired their team previously to rebuild our back deck railings and vertical slats in time for a grad party. They had the deck finished in about 5 hours! Not bad! I would definitely consider hiring Richardson Exteriors again.

I initially contacted the company in Sep '16, got a quote and was told 4-6 weeks out. That time came and went, early Dec was told "next week", no further contact until I reached out back to them. Finally was given 2 days notice for job to be done in mid January. Explanation given was that they had taken on too much work. I found this lack of consistent communication very frustrating. The screen porch on our house is in serious need of major repair and I'd struggled to find a company that I felt could take on the whole job, as it's going to have to be done in stages, due to logistics and our financial constraints. I was very impressed with Ron's knowledge and approach to this need and am planning/hoping to work with them again on further work to the porch. They were recommended to me by neighbors and of course are well reviewed on Angies List too. The guys did complete all the tasks in one day, just months after initially stated with very spotty communication. The quality of the work and materials seems excellent. They did clean up pretty well, but I did find a couple of errant old nails in the backyard and unfortunately my car tire found one left in our driveway. :-(
