We left a message through Angie's List for Richardson Exteriors to look at what we thought was a roof leaking in two places. Ron Richardson called us within two hours and set an appointment. Ron was punctual on his visit. He looked at the signs of water in our storage space over the garage and after some thought determined the roof was not leaking. The problem instead was moisture in the air froze, then condensated and then dripped. The problem was incomplete air circulation. His recommendation - since the storage space is not heated - was to block the soffit opening to the space, blocking air from entering the space. Excellent diagnosis and recommendation on the first problem. He suggested this was a solution that could be done by me at little cost. He also offered his firm's service to apply the solution. The second issue was evidenced by several stains on a ceiling in a different room. Ron walked around the house, did some measuring inside the house and offered that a room addition done in 2013 caused the leaking. He recommended going back to the contractor who did the room addition. Again, an excellent diagnosis and recommendation. I am impressed with Ron's analytic abilities and professional approach. Excellent job. When dry rot was found in the bay window they replaced the plywood at no extra charge. Very accommodating. We had three quotes on this project all at about the same price but Richardson was the most helpful and listened to what we wanted during the bidding process. We made the right choice.

They did an excellent job. They worked with my insurance carrier, because I had damage to my roof because of a storm, and it was very helpful. They did a great job at a good price. Ron is great to work with.

These guys were great: punctual, professional and committed to solid workmanship. From start to finish, this was a very good experience. Their estimate was competitive and the quality of their work was excellent. Also, Kirk, one of the owners, routinely kept me informed about what was happening with the job: when the guy was coming to put on the siding, when the gutters would be installed, etc. Moreover, Kirk was very committed to making sure that the work was done right and that I was satisfied with it. Before the job started, for example, Kirk came back out to my house to look at the structure once again and talk with me about options for framing out my garage door and windows. Then later, when a few shingles on my (admittedly old) roof got damaged during the installation of the gutters, he personally came out to patch and fix it. My only complaint is that I found a some stray nails around the garage and in the gravel of my drive from the siding work. Even so, when I need siding, roofing or gutter work done again, I will definitely call them. They are knowledgable, hard-working, personable and trustworthy.

I initially found Richardson Exteriors through GAF website. I noticed that they were the only preferred roofer listed on both GAF and CertainTeed websites (two of the most popular shingle companies). After checking on Angie's list and talking with shingle distributers here in town, I hired them to replace the roof and gutters on a investment property in Clintonville. I was so impressed with the professionalism and quality of craftsmanship from his crew that I hired them this fall to re-roof and gutter my home in Powell. Once again, I could not have been more pleased. The workers were punctual and courteous. Every night when they were done the site was clean and well organized. The roof and gutters look fantastic. I couldn't give a higher recommendation to this company!

I have an old home and the roof line is weird. Ron was able to figure out the best way to catch the rain at the corners and it turned out great. The crew did a very good job and even cleaned up their work completely before leaving.

First when Mr. Richardson met with us it was amazing the quality of the windows for the price. We had look at several other companies. When the installer arrived he was courteous and efficient. He wasted no time. The window look great. We went from wood windows to vinyl and they are beautiful. They hauled away all the old windows and cleaned up any debris. Also, cleaned the windows. Ron was able to match my old siding that isn't made anymore. This saved me the trouble of paying to replace all the siding. In addition to this he was able to schedule me into an earlier opening quickly getting the job done. When I had questions or concerns he promptly answered them, even when I was planning on just leaving a voicemail on the weekend. He was even good enough to power wash the other sides for no charge.

It went well. Scheduled an appointment and Ron kept communication lines open until we could meet. He arrived and we walked around the property to determine additional work besides installing the windows. He shared the nearby resident where his team was working and I went to the site. Fortunately my water damage did not affect the structure nor the underlayment. The work took 2 day and the installers were polite, professional and prompt. Thank you Richardson Exterior. *Richardson was repairing work completed by another vendor in 2010.

What started out as a simple project to remove and replace cedar siding and trim on a chimney and contiguous wall turned into a project with a broader scope of work. With removal of the damaged cedar siding, it was obvious that years of water infiltration had resulted in damaged wall and roof substrate, exterior wall framing and saturated insulation. An infestation of carpenter ants was exposed in the roof structure. Ron Richardson and his daily work crew quickly addressed the continuing work scope change with minimal delay. The crew worked into the early evening hours, with the assistance of artificial lights, to assure wall and roof construction was weather tight. The contiguous wall was reframed, new insulation installed and new wood substrate and siding were installed. Fortunately, wood framing on the chimney above the roof line was not damaged, so only wood substrate and siding needed replaced. However, due to poor installation of the original metal base flashing at the roof line on two sides of the chimney, roof sheathing around the chimney was damaged and required replacement. However, removal of roof shingles and sheathing exposed carpenter ants. An exterminator was immediately called and, fortunately, was able to visit the job site the same day and spray the infested area, again resulting in minimal delay to the project. New roof sheathing and shingles were then installed. I was very pleased with the finished product and quality of work provided by Richardson Exteriors, particularly in light of the expanding and changing work scope. I was also pleasantly surprised with the reasonable cost quoted by Mr. Richardson for the contract additions.

From the estimate to the installation everything went smoothly. Knowledgeable about the product and priced competitively. Timing of delivery and install was within quoted time frame.

Richardson Exteriors was as pleasure to work with as any company i have done business with! hands down, one of the best renovation / remodeling companies we have worked with. They listened to our thoughts and ideas, and when needed made appropriate alternative suggestions, keeping budget and design in mind. they replaced basically the entire exterior of our house, they were quick, courtious and clean! several months later, we had an accident with a ball thrown against the house, Ron replaced the damaged piece of siding the next day! There is no doubt that I would recommend Richardson to any friend or family member!

After some back and forth with a few different contractors I decided to call Ron at Richardson Exteriors; and I'm glad I did. Since purchasing a foreclosure back in 2011 I've hired multiple contractors to renovate and remodel my home and I can honestly say that the quality of work performed by Richardson Exteriors is top notch. I would highly recommended this company. I was on a pretty strict time frame due to other work I had being done on the house and Ron and his team went above and beyond to make things happen for me. I was very happy with the work that was done and look forward to working with them again.

The work schedule went just as planned although due to the rain earlier this summer the work occurred a couple weeks later than I planned. However, with the quality of the work, it was worth the wait! Afterwards I had a question about 2 small areas on the adjacent roofing where the roof shingles had been pushed up slightly with the gutter installation. Ron Richardson was quick in responding to my call and Rod came by and expertly resolved the problem within 1 business day of my call. This company provides professional and expert services in vinyl siding and gutter replacement. I would recommend them and certainly would use them again.

They were the first company to return my call and they provided the best estimate. Scheduling was easy with them and their installer came out around 7:30am. They gave me fair warning as to the time he could come out. The job was quoted before they actually saw the damage since the insulation installers would not be there until the following week. So when the damage was less, I had asked for a discount on the estimated cost. Ron informed me that the job took longer than anticipated 2.5 days instead of two. I did notice on the second day there was only one hole at the end of the day left to do, and some clean up, but since I wasn't there, I took their word for the time. That's the only reason I gave them a B on price. All in all they did a good job.

We received an estimate soon after I had contacted them. The estimate was reasonable and Mr. Richardson was helpful with suggestions as to what we needed to do to take care of our issues. The people who came out to do the gutters and chimneys were professional and pleasant to work with. The work looks great. We were pleased with how neat they were and the fact that we couldn't even tell they had been there. My flower beds weren't even touched. We will be contacting them again if we have any other exterior home needs.

We have a Tudor style home w/stucco, brick and wood trim. We had Ron cap our wood trim and accent pieces with aluminum and added Shake shingles to the gables. He installed soffit venting to help with the air circulation in the attic so the 2nd floor does not get so hot. They replaced all wood that was rotted before they capped it w/the aluminum. We liked the work and his responsiveness so much we asked him to replace the gutter/downspout system too. We were having problems with the system that was installed about 10 years earlier and not done correctly. We were having overflow problems during heavy rains. His installation crew resolved that issue! After several heavy rains recently, we have had no overflows. Ron had met with my wife earlier in the week, showed her samples and explained what he could do. I travel during the week and Ron came back out on a Sunday with minimal notice to show me the samples and explain his proposed work. Ron and his crew are very professional and did a great job. A great job and reasonable price - well worth it.

Mr. Richardson arrived as scheduled. Did not see reason for water overflow from ground, so got out ladder and looked at gutters on attached garage and one-story rear addition. Both gutter-guards at downspouts were blocked by debris from recent roofing work. Mr. Richardson asked me for a small bucket, and insisted on removing the debris from both gutters. Suggested I call roofing company for inspection of 2nd story gutters. Would not accept any payment for what he did; just asked that I remember his company for future work---which I certainly will do!

I thought that the estimate was right in the ballpark. I definitely will consider this company for future projects even though I did not use them for my gutter replacement.

Ron Richardson met at my home for our initial discussion of the project. He was sensitive to my work schedule and set up a time that was convenient for me after work. We discussed initial ideas and his background and experience gave me confidence that I was in good hands. He brought in samples of the roof material along with brochures of column and railing options. We had several other meeting to finalize the design. He was willing to meet me at work to review railing options and take a look at a house that had a porch similar to what I wanted. He even met me at the building supply company so that I could take a first hand look at additional column and railing options. I was confident we had the same vision and I would get exactly what I wanted after these meetings! Once the porch pad was poured/complete, his team went to work on the roof/railings. Although I continued to have confidence that the final product would be perfect, there were a couple missteps during the actual installation. -I was told the work would start Monday morning, but wasn't given a specific time. Since I was taking time off work to supervise, I called Ron at 9:15 wondering where his men were. He reassured me they were coming by 10 - 10:30 and they did show up by 10:30. The roof and columns were installed that day and looked great. -Tuesday morning the railing was installed by another guy and a misstep occurred. Railing accessories were included in a box and then put on my back porch on Monday afternoon (for safe keeping, I assume). The guy installing the railing did not know he was missing these accessories and evidently didn't call Ron to check when the railings attached to the columns and a gap was noticeable. I saw this Tuesday night and called Ron. -Ron had the railing installer back out the following day to detach and re-install the railing properly, but unfortunately he didn't clean up all the metal shavings that resulted from this rework and Ron came back out Thursday to complete the cleanup. As I said, I had complete confidence that the porch would be perfect and Ron would make sure of it. He definitely did!! I only wish his subcontractors had communicated better with each other and appeared to me as a single, cohesive team.
