Wouldn't give a plugged nickel for this company. Incompetent, destructive, damaged 100-old home by destroying plaster, allowing significant leaks from faulty installation, and refused to repair damage and unresponsive to concerns. Their equipment failed so their response was to turn it off while continuing to bill for 'service' which is a bunch of crock. Anyone who contracts with these crooks will be ripped off.

We had bacteria in our well water. They came out and sold us a ec5 system telling us it would fix all our concerns filed the water and soften the water. They claimed we could even use little to no laundry detergent and the toilet would have no more hard water stains. This was not true. On top of that this past year we found we still have bacteria in the water and we have been drinking this water because we were misled to believe thier system filtered the water. We tried to call them for months to realize who we were calling was the finance company. Basically now we are paying almost 7 grand for a water softner we could get for under 1000 at menards. Total RIP off and scam by these lying sales people.

This morning I had an appointment for the first year to change the filters. Nick W. was very nice, professional, quick and explained everything very well. I would recommend him to help everyone. Makes you feel comfortable and doesn’t make you feel like he doesn’t want to be in your home doing his job. It was quick and easy.

I thought the install and sales person were both very professional. I recommend rain soft.

We had Rainsoft out in November 2017 to look at our water softener after we noticed the brine tank was nearly full and there was constant runoff down the drain. They were able to come out in a timely manner to take a look at the unit. The tech claims to have "rebuilt" all the controls, but said that the unit needed to have the resin replaced, so I authorized the additional repair. He took the unit away and returned a week or so later to reinstall it. In January, we noticed the same exact problem again - brine tank nearly full and constant runoff down the drain. We called to ask about warranty on the repair at which point we were informed that they only warranty repairs for 30 days and if we wanted someone to come look at the unit again, we'd have to pay the $120 service call fee. Needless to say, we're extremely disappointed in their lack of warranty support for repairs when we're experiencing the identical problem. We attempted to speak with a manager and all we got was a "sorry you feel that way" and the unit is old, how about I sell you a new one? I will also add, that yes, the unit is old (15+ years) and we may very well be at the end of life on it, but then the tech should have informed us of that in November instead of suggesting a $210 repair (this is on top of the $120 service call). We've bypassed the unit and will be looking to remove it. The manager told us, it's yours, you bought it. Disconnect it and put it at the curb if you don't want it any more. His lack of empathy tells me that they probably have to deal with dissatisfied customers quite a bit. I would never recommend Rainsoft as a product nor Rainsoft of Greater Columbus as a company if you're convinced you need a water softener. There are other, more competitive, companies out there and hopefully ones that care more about their customers. Also, we've had them out over the years to service the reverse osmosis system they also sold us. Finally discovered we can get the requisite filters from Amazon for a fraction of the cost and replace them ourselves.

Nick was quick, efficient and very personable. I appreciated the way he went about his duties.

Quickly and easily. The technician, Nick W, provided step-by-step info, instruction and tips to sustain and prolong the life of the system.

Fine. He explained the reason the unit doesn't use much salt was due to the low water usage. In fact he said that the unit won't need annual maintenance because of the low water usage. He suggested maintenance every other year. I appreciate the truth and especially when it means less money for them. It drives home that Rainsoft is looking out for me and not just their wallet.

Pretty well. Install and post-install services all went well, and they were all good and capable people. I liked my water, I recommended it to others, but there was always a problem. My valve/controller was an older model that allowed saline water to get into my water system whenever it recycled while water was being drawn. Usually, it wouldn't be a problem (schedule the cycle after midnight), but it was for me when the house humidifier ran at night, like in the dead of winter. To update/replace the valve/controller with Rainsoft equipment would've cost 3x what I ended up paying for a completely new system from a different supplier nearly 15 years after the original installation.

The tech (Nick W.) did a great job. He was on time, friendly, wore booties, delivered ten bags of salt and filled it in addition to the other service. He checked the water quality, told me about a problem that may occur in the future, and was generally great.

Prompt service, and reasonable pricing. The work was also completed quickly. Great service!

The system works well, and they are very good at customer follow up.

RainSoft was very easy to work with. I needed to change install times and they were very receptive to that change. The installers were punctual and professional. I ended up having a small leak in my drinking water line. I called, left a message and within no time I had a call back with the installer on his way to the house to fix the problem. Problem was fixed with no questions asked. This has been a great company to work with so far. Having this system has given me piece of mind that my water is cleaner and better for me.

Great and we're still using it. FYI you'll want maintenance on the system every 2 years which runs $100 or more.

Excellent. Very customer service oriented: friendly ,explained everything he was doing. Office was flexible in scheduling the appointment and they told us the price when we scheduled so no surprises. The technician was clean, wore booties, no mess was made or left the technician was was very knowledgeable.

Initially it was fine. But any following contact has been troublesome including them refusing to honor the contract details.

It went well. Only thing is I didn't realize the salt was going to cost double what I would have paid to get it myself. The trade-off was they took it down to the basement. I didn't have to carry it down. myself

They do an excellent job. They come every year for me and they have been excellent every time.

The water softener was extremely expensive but there was a good sales pitch and we were told that the deal was only good for the day. So they suckered us in. They promptly installed the system the next day. 2 major issues. One, they were suppose to bypass the outdoor water spigot. When they saw that it would be too complicated, they changed the plan without my consultation and I was told I had to manually bypass the softener each time I wanted to water my outdoor plants. Second, upon further investigation we noticed that they didn't even hook the softener up to the cold water, so no need to bypass to water the plants and also the cold wasn't being softened!!!!!! Only the hot. The installer should have been aware enough to realize this mistake. When we called to have the issues resolved they drug their feet and never scheduled the fix. When we decided to have the entire unit removed, the unit was gone within 24 hours. They definitely have their priorities. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I am just relieved that I was able to get a full refund. That is the only thing I was happy about during this whole process.

They do a great job, I haven't had any trouble with the system. I used the salt blocks.

The sales person explained the benefits of the system thoroughly. Took the time to test our current system. The service technicians we're worry free and just knew how to do the job right without monitoring. "Frankly rare" to find these days.

The service professional was very punctual. He replaced the water filters for the system under the kitchen sink; then checked out the unit in the basement. He checked the air cleaner on the HVAC unit and the softener itself. Everything is running great.
