I could apply the following to several other attempts at finding an honest firewood supplier: I first called, (step one) and of course was told by Juanita that the wood has been split for at least seven months, and is thoroughly seasoned and ready to burn . Also, all of their customers are happy with the wood they deliver. I ordered 1 cord, to be delivered the next day. Robert West arrives, (step 2), close to the designated time, no problem there, uncovers his load of wood, and right away i can smell fresh split wood. I took a piece off the truck, could feel that it was still heavy with moisture, split it further, used a moisture meter, and got a reading of 30%+. I know, all you tree experts selling firewood will tell us dumb city folks it'll burn. Anyhow, when i went for another piece to check, Robert put on his show, (step 3), acting like he's going to leave, telling me he doesn't need to put up with people like me! I actually had decided that a cord of unseasoned wood now, would save me the trouble for next year. The wood is actually good, just not ready to burn this year. Robert calmed down a bit, backed off on his insults, what a temper, and he and his partner unloaded and stacked the wood in the cord sized area setup for 3 rows of wood, 8 feet long, 4 feet high, (1 cord). I had to stop them from stacking the wood crisscross, lots of airspace that way, (good trick,fellas) they finished up. I paid him, and he was gone. It was late, so next morning i went out, measured what they had delivered, and discovered that it was not a full cord by about 27 cubic feet, and decided to call and mention the issue of the unseasoned wood, the rude and insulting attitude of Robert, (at first, i know that's step three of selling firewood), and the not so full cord of firewood. I talked to Juanita again, she listened for a bit, then exploded with "Robert says you was drunk and difficult, a real pain...etc.etc..). Not sure if Robert knows me that well, but yes, a do walk funny because of my lame leg and bad back, which by the way is why i don't cut my own firewood anymore. And, yes, Juanita, i was drinking a beer.. So, when i mentioned getting the remainder of the wood, Juanita continues she "i don't want to deal with you"..etc. Then, the enraged Robert gets on the phone, tells me "you took the wood, if you want your money back, then you deliver it back here". And on to, "messing with him, you picked the wrong guy to mess with, i'll come over there and show you who you're messing with." I left out all of the colorful expletives, but you can imagine. After being threatened, and a little shaken, I hung up. Bottom line, i was very uncomfortable being insulted and threatened, and will not use their services again, and will be sure to let others know of my unusual customer service experience with them.

I have called this company several times ,finally got to talk to the wife Juanita and husband Roger , the man said he came out and looked at tree ,gave me a price of 1000.00 dollars ,which I paid cash no receipt and set up appt. To have tree removed including stump which they did ,but they left some of the stump sticking above ground. When I finally got to talk with them again the man Roger said to give him a call back Wednesday which was yesterday , and he would come back out and finish the stumps and 2 small in the back yard for 75.00 more I have called several times always go to voice mail . I also said I will give cash ,but you didn't give me a receipt first for cash . When the guys got here they seem to be nice and professional, I made sure they had plenty of cold bottle water and bought lunch for them , the one worker said I got a really good deal on this tree , for I am widow and don't know pricing of tree, when I spoke to Roger on Sunday I got the impression his Co workers thought the price was to low ,but he is the company is the one that quoted the price of 1000.00 dollars and I gave cash , but I have been calling because Roger said he would come out this Sunday to finish removing stumps that is sticking above ground maybe 3 inches . No answer, I won't be able to mow grass until they are finish ground down I called this morning again left message if he doesn't want to come out let me know, I am not going to continue to call this company , does anyone have any advice how I can get the remaining pieces of stump out without paying a fortune. I am widow and live on a limited income ,and I don't feel like it is my fault they quoted me the price of 1000.00 plus it was cash and no receipt. I do feel like they could return call and let me know if they don't want to finish , this to me is professional. The tree company is R West Tree Company thxs

Arrived when they said they would, completed the job for the quoted price, cleaned up area.

Delivery was on-time and with the quantity (2-cord) as promised. This was the second year I used this company for firewood. The wood is seasoned, all hardwood, and burns very well in my catalytic stove.

An estimate of given prior to the work and a little extra was charged but only after it was discovered that additional work needed to be done on one of the trees. I was consulted before this work was undertaken and was in agreement that it needed to be done. The estimate was provided on a Wednesday evening around 8:00 PM and they began and completed their work the following Saturday. They began working around 10:30 AM and completed the job around 5:30 PM. The people who did the work, including the owner, himself were polite and professional. They went to good lengths to ensure no property damage occurred as a result of their work. The company is bonded and injured and no payment was rendered until the job was completed.
