Quality Pools

A rip off with terrible communication & service. Their inability to properly maintain our pool almost messed up the mechanisms. When asked about service issues, they're great at deflecting and making excuses. We asked other pool experts who also corroborated that what they did & the info they gave wasn't right. They don't tell you when they arrive at your house, which is a problem since they bill based on time spent at your house. And what if you have questions to ask? They try to get as many pools done as possible in a day, with zero care for customer service. They also charge way more than other places, and don't show you the cost before running your card on file.

Absolutely the worst, most maligning company we have ever done business with. We caught them blantantly overcharging (10X) for a small service job and, after numerous ignored, written messages on returned bills, it took a filing with the BBB to finally get their attention. Then, after settling that issue, this company, who built and serviced our pool for nearly 15 years, maliciously filed a complaint with the Ohio Department of Health for the sole purpose of retaliating, coupled with the goal of costing us thousands upon thousands of dollars with our small, four-room B&B. Never once during the 6-years of servicing our pool since our B&B opened, did they bother to mention the need for commercial pool licensing - which they obviously knew about since they filed a complaint as soon as we fired them. This company, in our opinion, is unscrupulous and without a strong moral compass. Do your homework before having these people do anything related to your pool or property, There are A LOT better companies out there to deal with. Happy to answer any and all questions that anyone may have. The next step, after finishing-up with the ODH is that we will be filing a complaint again with the Better Business Bureau as well as the Attorney General's Office for the State of Ohio.

Ed was responsive on his return calls and made effort to provide service when I was home. Ed answered all my questions honestly about our pool.

Did not respond to my message

I contacted this company on May 18 and asked for a service call to repair my heater. The representative said that no one would be able to come out to the house until the following week but that she would ask the Ed, the manager of the service department to contact me. I waited until the middle of the following week and called him. He said that he would be out on Thursday or Friday of tht week. He did not come. I called the following Monday, was put on hold to wait for him to finish another call, and then finally was told that he had left the building to begin his service calls and did not have time to speak to anyone. I left another message and asked him to return my call. I finally was able to get ahold of him today and asked him when he was coming out to do the repair. He said that it had pushed back and no one would be able to come out for two or three more weeks. This company is very unreliable. They do not deliver on their promises, and they do not return phone calls. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL I DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM, AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ALL MEMBERS OF ANGIE'S LIST DO THE SAME!

We met with several companies before making our decision to hire Quality Pools. We knew after sitting down to speak to Joe about our project that they were the company for us. Having a pool put in is a monumental task and somewhat messy; however, we always knew what to expect every step of the way due to constant communication. From the first meeting to the final finishing touches we were pleased with the entire staff. I have often had to rely on Brian to come out and help me with technical issues that we are still getting used to. They are always quick to respond and so pleasant to work with. We have used a lot of service providers over the years and, because it's so difficult to get good quality service, there are few I recommend to family and friends. However, we have been overwhelming pleased with Quality's service and professionalism, and will continue to recommend them to anyone considering a pool.

Excellent service, very helpful and friendly service. Pointed out possible problem areas of concern, answered all of my questions and provided help on how to properly run existing pool equipment.

This is a reliable company that does quality work.

Quality Pools has been installing pools for a long time and it shows in their work. They were so easy and wonderful to work with. Joe described the entire process and helped with our design plans. The onsite crew was detailed and explained the process. We LOVE our pool! I would recommend Joe and his crew to anyone looking at building a pool.

There is another company that I use more often now, but they were fine, and I would recommend them to others. The only problem I had was to get someone to call back. I probably would use them again in the future.

.John Hays is the contact person in this company. He is wonderful. He comes out and does the major plumbing for opening and closing of the pool. I also have an automatic electric cover. There are moments when there is a problem. I have had the cover for 20 years though I have replaced it a couple of times. But he is only person I will ever keep as also my repair cover person. He is very knowledgeable. I love the fact that he accepts my input as well. To me motors have unique personalities and you have to kind of know the unique personality of each motor and when it make a little sound it is telling you that it is developing a distress so that you can save money and take that distress off. He accepts that when I tell him that. For one thing I am always right but he will listen to me. He is very committed to doing a good job and having his subordinates doing equally committed job. I cannot say enough good about the guy. He is not the least expensive but at the end of the day I think he is.

We have been using them for about four years. They come when they say they will come and they do a good job. They resurfaced our pool about three years ago and added steps to replace the ladder. The work was ok, but they did needed to refinish it again - using different paint and did it free of charge.

WE HAD USED THEM FOR SOME TIME, BUT QUALITY HAS SLIPPED. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY JUST DON'T CARE AS MUCH. LARGE PRICE INCREASES.

THEY ARE NOT VERY HELPFUL. THEY ALSO INSTALLED OUR CHLORINATOR IMPROPERLY. WE HAVE USED THEM FOR YEARS, BUT NOW, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS LACKING.

THE WORKMAN JUST DO A METICULOUS JOB OF CLEANING OUR POOL. THEY DID IT ALL SUMMER LONG AND WERE PUNCTUAL EVERY TIME. CD
