I called for the appointment and explained the job we wanted done. I got a return call within 10 minutes with the day and time frame. The electrician called the night before coming out to find out exactly what he was going to be doing and to make sure he had everything he would need to complete the job. My appointment was between 8-10 am. He arrived a little after 8, got right to work without wasting time. He was very professional, answered all my questions, and took away the boxes the light kits came in so I did not have to deal with the trash. I would definitely hire this company again for all my electrical needs.
Description of Work: Installed two ceiling fan light kits that can be turned on by a switch on the wall.

The company failed to show up for a 10am scheduled appointment for an estimate. When I called the office they told me the person who does the estimates was in Indiana with a broken down vehicle (I live in Columbus, OH). The office asked if I wanted to reschedule and I declined. I declined to reschedule because if the person who was scheduled to do the estimates was able to call the home office to let them know they would not be coming into work. At that point someone should have called me to let me know they would not make the appointment. As a result I wasted an entire morning waiting for someone to show up. What's worse is the company must have known hours before that the estimator would not be able to make the appointment because the estimator was still in Indiana and I am in Columbus Ohio, which is several hours away. I understand vehicles break down, it happens, but it's unacceptable to not contact the customer to let them know the appointment needs to be canceled.
Description of Work: Failed to show up for an estimate and didn't call to let me know they were not coming.

We are sorry (deleted member name) needs were not met. We have checked our computer records, phone logs, and with the estimator and can find no indication that we had an appointment scheduled with (deleted member name) on June 24 or any other day that week. Our office told the person who called and complained that we could handle the estimate that afternoon and we did handle all the appointments scheduled on that day including those of the estimator who was unavoidably detained due to being broke down in another state. We apologize again for any upset we may have caused (deleted member name).

They were on time and worked very quickly. The two guys had the ceiling fan installed in 45 minutes. Then the one guy left. They were professional, cleaned up after themselves, and took off their shoes when they walked on carpet. They also made a recommendation to add a breaker to the current breaker box, the reasoning made sense and the cost was not outrageous. I would definitely use them again for electrical work.
Description of Work: They installed a ceiling fan in a bedroom, which included drilling the new hole in ceiling, running wiring to outlet, and taking fan out of box and installing. They also moved wiring in crawl space to another room, so we could move our washer/dryer to new room. They installed a separate breaker on breaker box due to all of the spots being filled. We received a $100 Angie's discount on $500+ work.

A little confusion on the install date Friday so we rescheduled for Monday ( no big deal). Monday appointment was 1:00pm and they arrived before the scheduled appointment. I decided I wanted double floor plates and they had single plates ( my fault since I didn't decide that until they had arrived). The floor plates were installed this morning. I am very happy with the results.
Description of Work: I had 3 ceiling fans installed and 2 floor outlets. The installers were professional and worked together. I had purchased the fans and most of the components but a run to Lowes by the one of the insrtallers was required when it was determined that remotes would be required to operate 2 of the fans. I will use them again for any additional electrical issue that would arise.

I had a partial power outage and could not determine what the issue was. I contacted several contractors whose earliest appointment was the next day. I needed quick service and was able to get it with Quality Electric. Thomas Broeker was the electrician who performed the work and was at my door within 30 minutes. He was prompt, polite, and knowledgable, He was able to determine that there was an exterior line connection issue and had it repaired within an hour. He even re-secured the exterior electrical box and sealed it so water could not infiltrate into the electrical box inside. Thus, possibly preventing future issues. I am very pleased with the service and recommend this company to anyone who needs an electrician or electrical contractor.

Very happy with Dylan and this company. Very courteous, efficient, professional. Thought the price was great compared to companies with similar high ratings on Angie's List.
Description of Work: Scheduled a service call to look at the wiring for a new microwave and a bathroom fan that had stopped working. Was able to get a next day appointment. Dylan was very professional and inspected the microwave and wiring and answered all my questions about the electrical panel so I was well informed and understood the differences with 15 amp vs 20 amp circuits. Then diagnosed my bathroom fan and was able to clean it and get it working well again. All this within a 30 minute window which kept the price low.

They got everything taken care of. They sent one electrician, and he showed up on time, worked straight through and got all of the projects done within about 2 and a half hours. He was very knowledgeable and good to work with.
Description of Work: They completed five electrical jobs, including replacing a ballast in my bathroom for the fluorescent lights in the bathroom with one that I already had along with a fixture replacement.

Mark was very thorough when reviewing our initial situation. He is a very direct and analytical individual. He will tell you directly what the situation is, as well as the pros and cons. We appreciated his candor. This process resulted in an accurate cost and time estimate before the project started. Quality Electric was not the least expensive estimate we received, but based upon the information we received from Mark we believed that Quality Electric would be the best company to perform the task. All of the Quality Electric staff were professional, efficient, courteous and effective in their work product. They kept their work areas clean and tidy and would arrive at our home when they had stated. This project started in late fall and we ran into some health issues with the plumber which necessitated that we find/hire another plumber. This resulted in a significant delay in the project; none of this delay was the fault of Quality Electric. As one might expect, the rewiring of electric panels required interruptions in our electrical service at various times. We were advised in advance what days the power would be off, and for how long. We had entire-house-surge-protectors installed by a different electrical company earlier. They were installed incorrectly. It was necessary for Quality's electricians to rememdy this situation also. Mark oversaw the project and identified specific needs and requirements. Mark sent in a crew of electricians to minimize the amount of time we would be without electrical power. Charlie was the crew leader. Once the major interruptions were completed we had one or two electricians on premises; generally just Charlie. We would be remiss if we didn't state how much we liked Charlie. In addition to being a very good electrician he was very informative of what was being done and why. We will definitely use them again should an electrical issue arise in our home.
Description of Work: Making recommendations for generator size, and identifying needs and requirements for installation of 25Kw (entire-house) electric generator. Drew plans for project; obtained necessary permits.. Rewired 2 electrical panels. Had dirt work done to level slope in the yard in order to accomodate the pouring of a cement slab for the new generator to sit on. Performed necessary electrical work for generator's installation. Corrected the electrical work that had been performed when we had 2 whole house surge protectors installed earlier. Worked with the gas company and plumber. Tested generator.

They did a very good job. They were professional, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. They gave me a quote and did charge me what they had quoted. Their price was the lowest of all of the estimates. I'll use them again for future work.

Initial appointment was missed due to scheduled electrician personal situation. Had to reschedule for a week later. Both adults in the household work so lack of specific timing for the appointment was a challenge for us. Agreed to an 8:00am start time but electritian did not arrive until 8:20am. Employee commented that the dispatcher should have informed me that they never strat at 8:00am. Work was done well. Electrician had to leave to purchase parts which delayed completion. Very professional electrician. Very clean work.

Due to an unforseen occurance this project needed to be rescheduled and we appreciate the customer's cooperation. As for the delay in the start time we apologize. In talking with the electrician it seems the biggest cause for the delay was the traffic. There may also have been some miscommunication between the office and the electrician regarding start time. Our electricians try to have all the supplies they may need on their trucks but occasionally they run out of material during the day and must run out to get material to finish the project. Our prices are dictated mostly by the cost of materials. We try to be competitive but at times are not the cheapest. We appreciate your feedback and wil make corrections where we can.

We had cabinets installed, and that crew was supposed to install the electrical outlet in the island. They didn't, and when they came back, they just cut a hole and stuck the wrong kind of box in, still leaving the electrical unprotected inside the island, and no outlet. We ended up hiring Quality Electric to correctly complete the job and having the big-box store reimburse us since we weren't satisfied with their installers' work. The guy who came worked quickly and did exactly what we wanted - including putting the proper conduit over the loose electrical wires that run from the floor up inside the cabinet of the island, and using the right kind of box.

Was actually early for the appointment and waited until I arrived from work. Was very courteous. Also gave us an Angie's List discount!

Charlie was very helpful from the start. He explained how difficult it would be to hard wire the light above the sink, causing plaster damage and resulting in a higher cost to me for having someone come in to repair it. He told me there were ways to retro fit a new light and have it remain on a pull chain. I was fine with this as I just wanted the light to work; the current one was replaced (by me) several times as the chain gets jammed up inside the (cheap) light fixture. Charlie gave me the names of 2 lighting stores that could help. That review will be a separate one. I arranged to have Charlie come today, Nov 14, and he showed up at 0800 as planned. He got right to work and during the process I told him about adding the ceiling fan. Didn't faze him one bit, just added it to the invoice. At one point, he ordered some new GFCI outlets and I was able to get them in white. Both young men worked quickly and efficiently and were finished at noon. They cleaned up and would have taken the old fixtures but I said I was going to give them to Habitat for Humanity. By the way, they did all this work without turning the electricity off. I was able to get some work done of my own and it couldn't have gone smoother.
Description of Work: I had an estimate for replacing lights in my kitchen. I wanted my undercabinet lighting changed to LED hardwired, a light over the sink which had to remain on a pull chain, and a new light in the back entryway. I also had a new ceiling fan replaced at the last minute.

On 9/7/12, I called to ask exactly what time the technician would arrive. The technician (Bobby) called back immediately and told me 12:30pm, which allowed me to run some small errands. The technician arrived exactly on time, asked to see what needed done, explained what he was going to do and what issues may arise if he first assessment was not correct. I asked about the cost and he told me $78 per half hour and he estimated $150. He began the work and completed it within 15 minutes, I was so shocked! Bobby was great! I ended up paying $81.20 for a bathroom fan being repaired, outlet and light fixture that had been broken for years.
Description of Work: Called on 9/6/12 for appointment to fix some issues within my home. Contacted Mark and who made me an appointment for 9/7/12, which I was happy about because I wanted to get the items fixed immediately.

Charlie was wonderful! He called when his first customer canceled, which worked out much better for me. He was on time and installed a grounding rod at $80 less than the original estimate. Will use them again and refer them if anyone needs an electrician!
Description of Work: I found out that I needed to have a ground rod on my electric installed. While it took several days for someone to come out when I called for an appointment, when he did come out he was quick, efficient, honest. I appreciate the good work!

Excellent. He was on time and the work was completed at a reasonable cost.

The entire process went very well. Charlie and Bobby were great! They arrived on time and worked a full day. My house was built in the 20's so finding a chase / pathway to run new wires from the basement into the attic can be quite difficult but Charlie and Bobby found a chase in less than 30 minutes. They ran new wires up to the attic and down the walls to 8 new outlets (two of which were in the bathroom). They were able to put the outlets exactly where I wanted. I have knob and tube on my second floor & couldn't afford a complete re-wire, when Quality came out to give me an estimate they suggested that I add new outlets & put the bathroom on it's own circuit. I now have my heavy duty electronics (TV, computer etc) running off the new outlets and never have to worry about my bathroom blowing a fuse b/c it's on it's own circuit. I had already purchased a new bathroom exhaust fan & had them install and vent it to the outside. I saved $50 with my Angie's List coupon. I don't have any complaints. I highly recommend Quality Electric.
Description of Work: Two new wires installed @ the panel in the basement & fed up to the attic & down through the walls to eight new outlets on the second floor. The bathroom was placed on it's own circut, a new bathroom exhaust fan was installed and vented to the outside.

They are alright. They have come out several times. I keep using them because they are close by. They are right up the street. I work for a construction company so I guess I don't have real high expectations. Their guys come in. They are clean. They are well dressed. They come in, they do the work, and they go away. They are alright. They show up when they are expected. If they say they will have somebody over in the morning, they have somebody over in the morning. We didn't go out for bids or anything. Their price was just time and materials.

Charlie came out and did an estimate. I got a coouple of other estimates and none even came close to the one from Quality. I scheduled the job and Charlie was on time. The job took exactly the length of time that he said it would take and it was done without incident. Charlie was very polite and answered all questions that I had.
Description of Work: They replaced my circuit board. I had the old pushmatic circuit breakers and a lot of them were doubled up.

I have used this company several times and every time I have been very happy with the outcome. They always do exactly what they say they will do. The work turned out fine. Bobby was very nice and helpful. He was very responsive and he was able to come out right away.
Description of Work: They installed a new electrical line. I had some problems with the AC unit blowing the fuse; I couldn’t have anything else on when it was one. This separate line has fixed the problem.
