Have completely unfinished basement. Spoke in detail with Brian and gave spec of dehumidifier, Square D brand breaker panel, measured from breaker panel to desired west wall outlet location approx 25 ft and to desired south wall location approx 15 ft. Brian said due to detail no need to have someone come out and estimate in person - job should be at least 2 not more than 3 hours and about $175 - $200, not more than $250. Material cost approx $122, labor $214, tax $8.54, Angies List discount $10.

Quality PC is very good at listening to the customer's complaint, pinpointing the problem, and finding the most economical way to fix things. They start with the easiest and least expensive procedure and only proceed to the next step if approved by the customer. I was prepared to drop off my desktop, but they fixed it in their shop, while I waited--in a little over a half hour. I was so impressed by this and previous experience with them that I purchased a refurbished desktop ($300) for use as a backup. I am utterly impressed by QualityPC, and will return to them again and again.

Quality electric was wonderful! I called them after hours to tell them that my meter box had arc'd (pretty much blew up) and that the electric company disconnect the electricity to my home until it was replaced. Brian was so great, he assured me that he would help me the following day (I called at 7pm and got to talk to someone, awesome!). Richard come to my home in the morning, assessed what needed to be done and then left to get the parts. He arrived back after lunch ready to go. He was detailed in his work and explained everything as I tend to ask a lot of questions. When he was close to finishing, he asked me to call the electric company to come back out and turn the power back on to the house. Imagine my surprise when the electric company said I had to have an inspection before they would even come out! I was very frustrated because this was a Friday afternoon at 2pm. Who would come out to inspect it the same day?! Again, Brian rose to the occasion by placing a call to the city inspector and asking him to come to my home so that I would not be without electricity all weekend. The whole experience was fantastic, and I truly appreciate the time and care that Quality Electric showed me.

The electrician was fantastic. TJ came out to the house on time and was friendly yet professional. He fixed the issues and answered all of our questions. After he left we discovered a problem in one of the repaired outlets. We called TJ immediately and he came back out the same day and found that one of the repaired wires had come loose when he was reinstalling the outlet. Even though he had checked every outlet in the house to make sure that they were getting power, one of the outlets was getting lower than 120 service. This was causing the issue. After he left the second time, we have had no additional issues. We will definitely use this company again and will request that TJ is the electrician to come to our home.
Description of Work: Fixed electric issue in several GFI outlets that were causing loss of power in roughly I half of the outlets in the house.

The electrician I called was unable to come out today as agreed. I called quality electric and asked if they could come out today. I called at 1:30 and they were able to get an electrician to my house by 3:30. Bob arrived went to the circuit box and found a bad circuit breaker. He used a spare circuit breaker I already had. Bob fixed the problem and I now have power again. He did not try to sell me anything I did not need. The circuit box is forty years old, The final charge was $78.00 dollars. I was told over the phone that the initial service call and first 1/2 hr of work was $78.00. Bob was very professional, honest and I will use Quality Electric again when I need electrical work done.

I called Quality Electric monday morning for an appointment tuesday. They sent Richard out right away. Richard pointed out that we could not do that because of the cold air return in the bottom of the wall. He came up with a solution to bypass the return and then into the wall. We were pleased with the quickness and the results.
Description of Work: I wanted a new line run from the switch box in the basement in a wall for an outlet behind the gas stove and continue up to the new range hood.

I contacted Quality Electric first thing on Monday, 04/07/14 and spoke to Brian about the kitchen light shorting out, as well as, our porch lights which had stopped working. He was able to schedule someone to come out the next day between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The electrician, Bob, called in the morning to let me know he could be here at 10 a.m. if that was okay, which it was. I explained what happened with the kitchen fan/light. He went right to work taking the light fixture apart. He showed me the problem with the light and said that the light fixture part could be replaced. I told him that we never use the fan and asked if he could put a new fixture in, which I happen to have. He was able to do this without any problem. He then checked my porch lights. He again showed me the problem, something he was able to fix but told me that eventually, the old fixture would need to be replaced. Bob was both polite and very professional. I felt the cost was very fair. I asked him about the cost for installing ceiling fans in the bedrooms and to look at the fans that I had bought to make sure I had the correct ones. I will be calling Quality Electric again for these fans to be installed and I will request that he be the electrician to do the job. I felt very comfortable with him in my home, which of course, is very important and, he and my dog liked each other.

I was able to make an appointment for two days after I called the firm. Tom called before the appointment, arrived on time, and was very thorough and professional. He checked the breaker box to be sure that all the circuit breakers were functioning. He then checked all the outlet boxes and switch boxes in the circuit and found that there was a short between the ground and common wires in one of the boxes. This type of problem doesn't cause the circuit breaker to trip, but it does stop the current from flowing downstream of the problem box - who knew? Tom fixed the problem and trimmed the excessively long wires in the boxes to be sure that the problem won't arise again. Great service! Total time: 1.5 hours.
Description of Work: I had an electrical circuit in my home office go out, without tripping a circuit breaker. The electrician checked the breakers, determined that the problem was in one of the outlet boxes, then fixed the problem.

Original estimator met onsite for a walkthrough of what services were required. A metered base at each entrance behind existing signs and new breaker panels plus lights for the signs and associated wiring. One entrance already had a metered base that he said could be used. I was told they could not recommend lights and we would have to purchase those ourselves but they would install them. He referred me to a nearby retail store for the sign lights. The quote I received a week later was for two metered bases instead of the agreed upon one. Price was over twice the next-highest bid. Multiple e-mails were sent in response to the quote but none received a reply. I called three times, leaving voice mail once on the estimator's line and speaking to other associates twice. I was assured I would receive a call back that day. It's been almost two months without a call back or an e-mail reply. For all this company knows I am trying to contact them to hire them for the job, my e-mails and messages were positive and simply requesting a call back to discuss the quote provided. We put this company on our housing development's vendor watch list so other homeowners don't have their time wasted.

We are sorry that you were unhappy with our price and our staff. Our price was higher due to it being for replacing all the existing equipment and installing the second set. The estimator decided to include replacing the existing equipment as it was worn. He did tell the cusomer originally that it could be used. However, upon re-examining the equipment he felt it would be better to replace it as it was old and may not have lasted as intended. Returning phone calls was an issue. Our new phone system did not always retain voicemails, (this has been rectified), and effort was made to return phone calls. Emails cannot be verified at this time. Unfortunately connections were never maded. It is always our intention to make sure a customer is contacted but we are imperfect and at time errors occur. Although we try, we know that we can't make every customer happy and we thank you for your report so that we can continue to make improvements regarding customer service.

The technician and manager were polite although somewhat unprofessional in scheduling and following up.
Description of Work: Scheduled appointment for October 14th for estimate on electrical work. The verbal plan was for the company to call the Friday before (10/11) to confirm. Never received the call, left a message on 10/13 for someone to follow up. I called back 10/14 to inquire and the office manager did not have any record of either conversation or the appointment. The service technician called ~ 20 minutes later to confirm but had already scheduled another company to do the estimate/work.

I wasn't very impressed with the person that came out to give me the estimate but actually the guy who came to do the work was excellent. I think he got into a little bit of trouble because my estimate was really high for the work. Fortunately, he solved the issue right away so he wasn't there hardly at all. He worked an hour total and I heard his boss screaming at him on the phone, "Didn't you see my estimate? You should have billed some work done." He said, "Wait a minute, I billed the time I worked." I don't know if there was an issue there. I know the guy who came to the house was very honest. I have a really old house so obviously the electric is really old and it would probably take him more time to track down the problem but he didn't. He did it right away. I've never lived in an old home. I've always lived in a new build so I have no idea if that was a good price or not. I didn't have a lot of people come out. I just had it done but it seemed reasonable to me.

The problem almost certainly was caused by faulty wiring that was done when we had our kitchen remodeled several years ago. Bobby figured out that there was a break in the line somewhere, and since I didn't want to tear holes in the wall to get to it, was able to bypass the problem by putting it on another circuit that had a very light load. We had company coming for the weekend, so it was a great relief to get this problem fixed. He was very friendly and professional, and had it done in less than an hour.
Description of Work: One circuit in my house suddenly stopped working. I tried replacing the circuit in the breaker box and a GFI that was on the same circuit with no luck. The electrician was able to deduce what the problem was and get it working again.
