Both times, they came out and provided a quote. They were professional, honest and thorough. Once I agreed with the price, the work was completed in a timely manner without any issues. I would definitely continue to use them for my electrical needs.

Very well overall. Bob's crew was timely, professional, and efficient. They completed the project in two days and the results were good. They were also accessible with questions about electrical issues in an old house (built in 1920s.) The service, from initial call to the estimate to the actual work was good and would recommend as well as hire again in the future.

It went very well. Initially we needed to reschedule due to an out of town emergency. They were very flexible and accommodating. When the electrician first came he assessed the problem. The job needed two steps and two visits.: Removing wire so the window could be installed (which he did the first visit), then rerouting the wire after the window was installed. When reinstalling the wiring, he tried to hide the wire behind wood paneling, but it proved impossible because the wall was solid underneath. I'm glad to have my desk light back.
Description of Work: We needed to have an electrical wire that powered a built in desk lamp rerouted around a window. It was discovered during our installation of replacement windows that the wire went up through the middle of a window.

The electrician arrived on time and explained that these type of fixtures usually have a life of about 20 years. Our house is 20 years old so that made sense. He fixed the light efficiently and was very helpful. Our only issue was that when the appointment was made, the office staff failed to mention that there was a trip charge of $85.00!!! So, for 60 minutes of work that was a relatively simple job, we paid $85.00 for the trip charge and $75.00 for the electrician's 60 minutes. In retrospect, that seems a bit excessive to use. We used this same company 1 1/2 years ago and we were very happy with them. We reviewed that bill and it showed no trip charge! This electrician offered to run up to the Lowes (about a mile away) to pick up the light fixture. My husband said he could go, but the electrician said it was no problem. I hope that was not why we paid the $85.00 trip charge because that would be really deceptive for 2 seniors that have all the time in the world to run to the hardware store. Make sure you ask about trip charges before using this company. The parts were an additional $50.00. I just hired an electrical company for my parent's house in Cleveland and it is going to be $120. for 2 hours with no trip charge.

Wonderful! Job well done. TJ was on time, listened to what we needed, experienced at his profession, and we are very happy with all the work he performed for us. After being 2 hours and 25 minutes late, the man showed up clearly frustrated and said something about it "being that kind of day" I made some comment about the time (no raised voice or anything- just also, understandably frustrated). He immediately responded that he was not staying, started shouting that he didn't have to put up with this, doesn't work like this, all kinds of things and that he wasn't that late... He had things to do. When I asked why I wasn't given at least a curtesy call, he yelled again and said they he "was working". I insisted that he needed to call his company since he said it was their fault and the man at the office immediately began cutting both of us off, raising his voice, saying things about they come when they can and "we" should understand they are working. At which time I said I also work and had to leave work to be here on time and why didn't they call. they refused to even discuss anything and the man left saying he can't work like this. I can not believe a company this juvenile acting, with poor attitudes and even worse customer service and not professionalism has top Angie's list ratings.

QE came to the house within a week of our call and performed the necessary repairs, including changing a ballast. The technician provided useful information about current trends in fluorescent lighting, including the new ballasts and the selection of new light bulbs. Our subsequent installation of new bulbs revealed a few cracked tombstones in the kitchen fixtures. We called QE again; the technician returned within a week and replaced them. We have been using Quality Electric for several years. We have always received timely and competent professional service from QE and have recommended the firm to others.
Description of Work: The most recent job involved repairs and maintenance for fluorescent light fixtures in the kitchen and laundry room and the replacement of an incandescent ceiling fixture in a walk-in closet.

They came within the time that was given. The two technicians were very professional. They also listened to every word I said. They ended up cutting three holes total. All three of the holes were in places I wanted and where they wouldn't be noticeable. The technician even gave me a name on a person who can patch up drywall holes if needed. The job only took two hours. This job would have taken me a whole weekend but these guys did it very fast. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN!
Description of Work: The provider routed 2 CAT5E cables from basement to second floor. I lacked sufficient equipment to do this myself and got a quote that it would be a lot cheaper.

The service person arrived in the window of time given. He was professional in manner and in his work. We discussed the possible causes. He was very respectful in speaking with me. It took only about an hour to find the problem and fix it. He put everything back in position before leaving. The invoice was clear and he fully explained every thing he checked and how he resolved the problem. Thank you Mr Keefe. I will certainly call on them again if service is needed.
Description of Work: My dryer started tripping the circuit breaker on Thursday and I called several electricians on Angies' list. Quality electric was able to come the next day. He checked the dryer, found the problem in the breaker, fixed it and then checked the rest of the panel to see that the other breakers were in good order.

The initial basement work went well. It did not take very long. TJ the electrician was late the first day but he did call after the time he was estimated to arrive to let me know that he would be arriving later. He seemed to warm up to us being around as the job progressed. He is a smoker and I prefer non-smoking, but that is something that is not easy to find with contractors these days. He did seem mindful to quickly smoke when he went out to his truck for more materials. TJ is very nice so we did not mind having him come back to do more work. On the second visit I did not notice any cigarette smoke and he had his son Brendon with him for help installing can lighting. TJ mistakingly cut a hole in the ceiling where a joist was located and had to make another cut beside it in order for the light to be installed. I had returned home from stepping out to run an errand and TJ said that he made a "boo boo" and that it only needed a little patch work. I left again to get a center light fixture and when I returned (after thinking about the extra cut made in my ceiling), I asked TJ who was going to fix the ceiling. He said "WE do not do dry wall repair." I said but this needs to be fixed. Again, he said that "We do not do dry wall repair" and suggested that I call Bryan Rogers. So I called Bryan and informed him that there was a repair that needed to be made and initially he too said, "WE do not do dry wall repair" and referred to that being stated in the paperwork. I felt as though I needed to explain that his electrician made a mistake and that the repair needed to be made at the expense of the company, and not myself. I eventually got scheduled for a drywall repair man to come back and make the repair... But I think it took too much effort to get that negotiated. I have more work to be done and I MAY or MAY NOT hire them again. I am going to have another company give me an estimate while I think about it and after the drywall is repaired.
Description of Work: They have completed two jobs for me. Installing a new oven wire in the basement, adding new outlets for a washer and dryer, adding can lighting and a center light in the living room. The electrician cut a hole in the ceiling in the wrong place and now I am scheduled to have my ceiling repair next week.

We apologize for the error in cutting the drywall in the wrong place. Mistakes due happen at times though we try avoid them. When we realized an error had been made we made arrangements to fix the problem by scheduling a drywall contractor to come at the customer's convenience and repair the problem at our expense. We do not do drywall work as that is out of our scope of work and we always let the customer know up front that any drywall repairs must be made by a general contractor who does that work so that it is done correctly.

These are my Go To guys for electric from now on. Friendly, professional and prompt. They went above and beyond by squeezing in my service because I had houseguests coming. Mike did a super job, and made a recommendation to replace the ceiling box in order to straighten the fixture to a more flattering angle. I used Quality Electric and I may have used them from your list, I don't know. I've used them twice because I had the garage door opener, he said, you don't have to get this done but it's not up to code. The way I had my garage door opener plugged in to the electric. He said I recommend that you get it fix. First of all, it's not up to code and you could have a problem. If you wanted to sell your house, they would make you fix it anyway. I just used them again for that. They had to go get some parts and stuff. They were prompt, did the work and explained everything to me. I have their little sticker in my electric box if I run into problems. I think they were supposed to be here a certain time but they called. They were businessmen and they ran into something. I don't remember, that mustn't have been a problem because I don't remember. He explained everything to me. He explained why I couldn't do this and why I had to do it this way which I really appreciate.
Description of Work: They came out and put in a pipe so I can plug in my garage door up there and put in a new plug. I have a switch on my wall and he straightened that out. I never knew whether I was turning on my inside garage door light and my inside light so he fixed that for me. They came out the nest day after the garage door guy.
