I was convinced that I had mold growing in my basement as the result of a slow leak from the water line outside my house. Mr. Gutridge scheduled an appointment quickly, arrived on time, took one look at my basement and told me that what I thought was mold was actually mineral deposits, and was perfectly harmless. He then carefully examined the rest of the basement to make sure there was no mold growing anywhere else. He also walked around the exterior of the house to try to help me understand why I was having water seeping in to my basement. He was extremely helpful, and perfectly pleasant, despite the fact that there was no work for him to do at my house, after all. I would definitely recommend Puroclean to anyone who asked, and if I do have a problem in the future, they will be my first call.

Overall experience was wonderful. The pipes burst in my house and the problem was discovered on Saturday. The first two places that I called had wait lists for water migation work that was over a week long. I selected Puroclean because theirs was only 4 days long. After 4 days, I had to call back a few times to make sure that someone was still coming out as scheduled and that I had the paperwork for them to get started. My having to hound them to begin service was the primary negative experience. The back office functions of billing and paperwork were also not as efficient as I would have liked. I had one point person for all of the work being done. He arrived promptly every day when he said he would or slightly earlier. As I was not staying at the house while it was unlivable, he gave me regular updates by phone and email and we discussed the rationale for drastic steps that needed to be taken before it was too late to reverse those decisions. He personally walked the insurance adjuster through the house and explained all issues and rationale for why certain walls, flooring, and cabinets were removed. I especially appreciated this since he was able to provide the information in a more scientific way than I was able to. He saved as much of the house as he could and was very professional throughout the entire process.

I've revised my review to reflect the owner Rick's admirable efforts to rectify the situation. I would hire PuroClean again. The full story: In March 2012, a plumbing leak caused my hallway closet drywall to get very wet and became a mold hazard. PuroClean came out and gave an estimate within 24 hours, and they removed the problematic drywall a few days later. The PuroClean employee was very efficient, professional, and friendly, as was Rick (the owner who came out to give the estimate). I was very satisfied with the work and the price. So in December 2013 when I discovered a mold problem in my basement due to a window leak, PuroClean was were my first phone call. Rick Gutridge, the owner, came out to give a free evaluation the next day. Just like in 2012, Rick was very professional, honest, and personable. He got me an estimate via email the next day, and I responded immediately that I'd like to move forward and book his company for service as soon as they were available. I didn't hear from Rick for over a week--which was partly expected since he said he was going out of town for the first part of the subsequent business week--so after a full week of waiting, I called and left a phone message. Rick return message came a few days later and basically said, "Sorry for not getting back to you, but we're slammed with emergency business because of the recent cold weather." I returned that message saying that I understood and would like to book service as soon as PuroClean was available to take the job, even if it took a few weeks. After a few more rounds of phone tag, Rick stopped calling back...so I ultimately gave up and left a lackluster review on Angie's List. At that point, Rick got back to me and was very apologetic. He team took care of the job within the week and just like in 2012, their employee did a wonderful job--very fast, very professional, very thorough, and took the time to explain what he'd done. But it did take about 75 days to sort out the whole mess (estimate was done in late Dec 2013 and the work was completed in early February 2014). I believe it was an honest mistake and that my job just got lost in the shuffle of other emergency jobs.

Terrific - he was so straightforward, told me there was no problem, I could fix it myself. We will definitely call him if we every actually need him!

During a home inspection for refinancing our home(10/14), the inspector found a small place where mold had been from a leak in the roof. This had been remedied but I had not repainted. The mortgage company insisted on mold cleanup. I called Puroclean that evening and explained the problem. He came out the next day gave us the estimate and I told him to do the repair to keep the refinancing going. He completed the repair on 10/16 and sent photos of the repair to the mortgage company. I was highly pleased with the the work and getting the information to the mortgage company. The only reason I gave a B on the price is because if I had painted the spot, I could have saved $430.

I had a very good experience with them. They made many different trips here and it was done over a period of time. They were fair and reasonable in their pricing. I had very good personal attention , very good follow up and at one time he even left the ozone machines here for an extra 2 days. We just closed up the house and he left the ozone machines on for extra 2 days.

They were very professional, prompt and very responsive. I would use them again in the future.

Rick came to the house and assessed the situation promptly. Both the main sewer line and the house line had backed up into the basement leaving water in 3 rooms. I was very concerned as there were 2 people with compromised immune systems living in the house. Rick's polite and efficient crew worked very hard to sanitize the basement floors and also cleaned the basement steps, kitchen floor, 2 bathroom floors and 2 bedroom floors. During this process they also sanitized the washer and dryer and had to move and clean under several boxes and other items that were on the basement floor. They also left a commercial dehumidifier and an air cleaner running for the weekend. I really appreciate the excellent service Rick and his crew provided for us.

They were prompt and very professional. Knowledgeable folks and had a lot of good information. Their quote was a little higher than I was looking for and ultimately found someone else for about half the cost. The reason i wouldn't use these guys is because even though they didn't do the work, they still attempted to collect payment for the quote. I am not personally a fan of paying for services not delivered. But i will say once I called them, they did take care of it pretty quickly.

Rick evaluated two mold-affected drywall sheets that we discovered in our new home. He used his moisture detector to determine that the involved areas were dry despite extensive rains recently, suggesting that the mold was from past water damage and not an ongoing leak. He outlined the steps for mold remediation and gave me the option of doing it myself since it would be fairly simple. I decided I would do the repairs myself, and he answered my questions about the details of the procedure. I appreciated his assessment of the degree of our mold problem and his willingness to give me advise for doing the repairs myself.

It worked out very well. They were able to do the job very quickly and the price was very good. It came with a 10 year guarantee. I felt very good that they did not try to sell me things that I did not need. They did not make me think that the job was worse than it was. I thought that they did an excellent job. I would use them again.

Well, I talked to the provider and he advised me on the steps to remove the mold. I took the providers advise and removed the mold.

Rick called us on a Thursday to have his employees start on Friday morning. Unfortunately, we were preparing to leave for a trip. We were so shocked they could schedule us so quickly considering a big storm had roared through the area the night before. Rick was so accomodating, so we scheduled for the following Monday. Rick had his employees Remington and Nick at our house on Monday morning. They arrived on time and went straight to work. They were polite, respectful, and treated our home with care. They scraped and cleaned the basement walls. After allowing this process time to work, they put the coating on the basement walls. Nick came back on Tuesday to put another coating on the walls. It looks fantastic! The basement utility room looks great. It is bright and it does not look like a place to just do the laundry and house the furnace and water heater. Thanks for the suggestion on the dehumidifier! It is working great. Thanks also for providing a reference for another Angie's List provider to do minor drywall repair and caulking around the shower. I would certainly suggest Rick and his team to others. I hope we will not require their services in the future, but if the need arises Puroclean will have our confidence.

The buyer selected a more expensive alternative.

Puroclean responded quickly to my call, scheduled a visit quickly, and even followed up with additional information after we finished the assignment.

They were friendly. They were responsive. I did have to have them come back a second time though. I think they would be ok to use.

Rick was great from the beginning. He came out and gave me an estimate for a home that I was purchasing within a couple days of me calling. Once I closed on the house, his guys came out the next day. I had an estimate from another company that was much higher and did not include the details that Puroclean provided. Tony called me when he was leaving the first day and called me when he was on the way to complete the job on the second day. Both of the guys were polite and even installed some light bulbs for me that I couldn't reach so they could see to do their work in the basement.

We were in the process of selling our house and during the home inspection mold was found in the attic. I called Puroclean based on Angie's List reviews. Rick, the owner, was able to come out and give me an estimate the very next day (Thursday). Rick's inspection of the mold was very thorough, he explained what his company would do and that it would only take two consecutive half days to complete. Rick was very friendly and professional. I called on Friday to accept his bid and he said he could send his guys out on Monday. His crew were very polite and friendly and got right to work They also explained what they did each day and left the house very clean. On Monday they sprayed the mold with and antibacterial spray that killed the mold and sunk into the wood. Tuesday they sealed the area they had sprayed so no mold would grow back. Puroclean did a great job! I highly recommend them.

Rick bid a large mold remediation job in our basement. He was very professional yet friendly, and I was impressed with his ability to notice detail as he surveyed the work to be done.
