Puroclean Water, Fire, & Mold Experts

My house was in contract and time being short to remedy buyer concerns, I contacted Puroclean Water, Fire, & Mold Experts ...I found them through Angie's List and they have great ratings. Although the owner Rick was very busy that week, he make time to come out and inspect my attic for mold. He was prompt, very knowledgable, friendly and honest. Lucky for me, there was no evidence of active mold ( again, really appreciate the honesty!) He also called out that my attic fan was not working and suggested repair to avoid possible mold issues in the future. Given the need, I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them!

I am selling my home and, as part of the buyer's home inspection, mold was found in my attic. My buyer had contacted a local competitor of PuroClean and included his estimate in her list of items she requested to be remedied. I spoke with the company owner and, while polite, I just felt his estimate was too high and I disagreed with his evaluation of the cause of mold in the attic. He didn't insist exhaust had to be vented, but ironically, he wasn't capable of doing this service either. I then call Rick Gutridge, owner of this PuroClean franchise. He was extremely busy as it was just when the snow was starting to melt and everyone had issues pipes bursting, basement floodings, etc. Rick still found the time to do a free estimate and his recommendations aligned with what I felt needed to be done. Also, he did recommend to vent the bathroom exhaust through the roof AND his company IS capable of doing such. Not to mention, he also came in around $500 lower than his competitor. The only 2 employees of this company I personally met and spoke with were Rick and Anthony, one of the technicians who came out on the first day to do the remediation. Rick was just a pleasure to work with. I spoke to Anthony briefly, but he was so courteous and helpful that I wasn't expecting and really appreciated the fact that Rick's employees would be this way with customers. Bottom line, if you have mold issues as I did, don't just call anyone, call PuroClean. I would definitely do business with Rick's company again. Hope this helps anyone trying to make a decision for mold mitigation.

Everything went great I just though they replaced what they removed. I was very happy with the cleaning they did after the mess of the mold in the ceiling. I just thought I wouldn't have to replace the ceiling myself since that was what I didn't want to do in the first place. Very polite during the whole thing.

They were professional and responsive. This water leak occurred at my place of business. I popped on Angie's List, found PuroClean and they came right out. Rick, the owner, was wonderful to deal with. Very kind and polite. Would certainly use them again.

Within a couple of hours of arrival, Rick's team had extracted about 20 gallons of water from my carpet and set up their drying equipment. That equipment ran for roughly 80 hours, during which Rick and his team members showed up 3 of the next 4 days to confirm all was well, that the equipment was still running and no fuses had been tripped, that the drying was occurring as it should be, and each day they communicated with me about what to expect. Talk about building confidence in the customer, they did exactly that. By Saturday morning, the room was bone dry. Aside from water that crept into the drywall (thus we lost the drywall), we had no damage to anything within the room; he even saved the carpeting! What a great job, and what great customer service. Rick and 2 of his techs were here at different times, and each was polite, informative, and they genuinely seemed to care very much about how I felt everything was going, they permitted no surprises, and they kept me informed about likely outcomes. Just fantastic!

We'd had a Class 3 Level 3 overflow into our basement (neighborhood sewage from a city line). He evidenced much more concern about health than the other provider. He actually went out, on the spot, and purchased a dehumidifier for me. The cost of it was reimbursed, but I was still incredibly impressed that the owner of a business would actually do that for a customer. Being slightly disabled, it wouldn't have been an easy thing for me to get it down the stairs.

Tony was at my home within 24 hours of my initial phone call. This experience is at the top of all service calls, since becoming a homeowner almost 5 years ago, and we have had our share during this time. Tony provided me honesty, which is unfortunately becoming more and more difficult to come by these days. He assessed the water damage/leak beyond the extent of a couple contractors who I called to fix the issue. He did not find mold in the attic, and then offered to look in our basement to provide piece of mind and gave our home a mold-free bill of health. This service, time, and support cost me nothing!!!! I would have paid for this service call with a smile on my face. I will recommend PuroClean to any of my family and friends. That is marketing you cannot pay for!

Tony came to my house to give me an estimate. He was very personable and trustworthy. He described what I needed and the costs associated with each. We scheduled a date, and two men came and worked on the house for a day and a half. They got rid of the mold and painted my basement. Tony stopped by to check on their work and make sure I was happy. Everyone was terrific, and they finished earlier than expected. It was a great experience, and I feel so much better about my basement.

Incredibly prompt. Tony arrived at my house within 15 minutes of my first call to the company and had equipment out and running at our house later that afternoon. Company made repeated stops at our house to check moisture levels and remove/leave equipment as appropriate. All at a fair price and always arrived when they said they would. Would use this company again (but hope we never have to).

Puroclean did a great job at taking care of the mold issue of my home. The crew was very professional and detailed. The final quote was higher than the original one given since the guys doing the work suggested that more work was really required in the basement. It was not really in my budget but I agreed that their analysis was correct. I would recommend Puroclean to other neighbors but would suggest that customers make sure what all is included in the service. I assumed that once the moldy dry wall was removed that it was also going to be replaced with new drywall. It was not included. That was my mistake.

I rated the cost low because in reality we didn't have mold. We had gotten into a sting with a home inspector with the first contract on our house. That home inspector worked with one mold company (not Puroclean) and gave us a $3000 bill. We had previously been all through the house and knew that there was no mold. They would produce no pictures. We had Rich with Puroclean come and inspect on our own. Nothing but now it was on our disclosure so we had to have work done although mostly preventative. We lost that contract and went to second contract since we were unwilling to comply. Puroclean did some rerouting of bathroom vents on our 1959 house and washed down the supposed areas. He knew of the previous group that had "inspected" our house. He was very good and very professional and I would highly recommend him as he does not oversell.

The process went fine though there was a delay in recieving the mold report.

Everyone I dealt with in the company was polite, professional and responsive. It didn't take long to get an initial inspection and quote for services. Scheduling the actual work was also easy. My questions were answered. All the worked I had requested was completed, the work team was careful and checked to see that I was happy with the job, and they cleaned up after the work was finished. I'd have no problem recommending them.

Chose PuroClean based on its excellent rating and reviews. Owner sent project manager Tony Moore to make an analysis of the source and cause of the problem and a proposal for its solution. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough, taking pains to fully explain what had been going on in this vault-like room which we hadn't paid any attention to over the years. He advised that he could get the 2-day project underway as quickly as we chose and, just a few days later, it was started and completed to our complete satisfaction (and relief). The work included removal and disposition of many items which had long been stored there. The room and the staging area were thoroughly cleaned up, with no trace of the dirty work that had taken place there. PuroClean is a highly professional and ethical company. This was clearly proven to me when, upon completing the work on day two, Tony advised that the price he had quoted and I accepted would be reduced because some of the materials he thought would be needed proved to be unnecessary. Also, in the course of his inspection of other areas in the basement for any mold, Tony noticed that the duct line running from our first floor dryer along the basement ceiling was badly rusted. Turned out that this was the result of our failure to have the line cleaned for far too many years. The metal duct running from the upstairs laundry room across the basement ceiling had become totally clogged with lint, thereby creating a potentially serious fire hazard Fortunately, PuroClean has a subsidiary specializing in duct cleaning and line restoration which we have now retained to immediately fix this problem.

I applied for their deal and called in for a schedule, they were prompt and quick in terms of the wait time. The person arrived on time but then it was not the same person I spoke to. There was another issue and could be attributed due to the last minute emergency that they were attending. This person did not have the right tool for which he offered a refund or later appointment. I am glad that person was professional, responsive and infact volunteered to spend time with me to review some of my concerns. I will recommend them for their professionalism and promptness towards remediation actions. I received the refund as promised.

I had been smelling a musty scent for several months and refused to go into our downstairs TV room. Worried about mold and allergies, I found PuroClean on Angie's List, liked all the "A" reviews, and set up a consultation. Tony was thorough in his inspection and said there was no mold just moisture. He and his assistant returned within a week. They had to move all of our "stuff" around to install the heavy duty visqueen barrier and seal it to the walls. They moved the plywood and and our storage items back into place--it actually looks much neater than it did before! Tony also returned the next day to replace the crumbly insulation in the smaller crawl space. Best of all is that I don't smell a thing!

I had a water filter spring a leak in the basement and leaked water into a carpeted area for an undetermined period of time--probably weeks. After discovery, I thought i could see the "path" the water took to another part of the basement and attempted for days to extract water and dehumidify the area. After 4 days and feeling like it just wasn't drying, I thought more profession tools might be needed. Puroclean came out to assess--the same day I called, and very responsive and helpful. After testing all the carpet area for moisture, they determined the water damaged area was broader than I knew. They also determined, that all my extraction and de-humidification efforts were failing because the carpet pad had a thin water barrier layer, hindering the drying efforts--their recommendation was to clear out basement, remove carpet and put down an anti-microbial. They provided an estimate the same day, making it easier for me to work with my insurance company. We ended up emptying the basement ourselves and Puroclean came back out to remove the carpet and put down the anti-microbial. We had some confusion about the carpet tack strip (it had to come up because I'm replacing with NatureStone so I never have to worry about this again!) but after calling Tony, he worked to make things right. Customer Satisfaction is top priority for them and they demonstrate it.

They did a great presentation of their services, they answered all my questions and gave me great details. They were straightforward and honest. The two techs that came out were very personable, gave me great info and answered all my questions.

Rick, the owner, came to our house to check for mold in the basement. He's a really nice and honest guy. He checked the entire basement, including the crawl space, and said "You don't have a mold problem here. Your humidity level in the basement is almost 60%, which is higher than you want. Buy a good dehumidifier and run a hose into the sump pump hole so it can run whenever it wants. I could do a $350 Air Quality test, but you don't need one. Spend the money on a big dehumidifier." Need I say more? Punctual. Honest. Nice guy. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Arrived on time each day, was very attentive to detail. Used before at my mothers house. Would refer to everyone.

I had a leak from the outside allowing water to get into my lower level. PuroClean removed the drywall and insulation around the leak, cleaned up all the mold/mildew, and ran dryers and HEPA filters for several days to dry out the area and remove any airborne contaminants. They returned and sealed the plywood to prevent further moisture problems, then installed new insulation and drywall, and then spackled the repair. As a result of their work we were able to determine the source of the leak was a hole in my exterior stucco which was repaired by my condominium HOA while this work was underway. The results of the work by PuroClean are very satisfactory, and the mold remediation was more complicated than I would trust a "handyman" to perform. The drying and HEPA filter equipment were essential to getting this done correctly and minimizing the chance of a repeat issue. My only real complaint is that this company is hard to get hold of, and they were late arriving several times.
