I was not impressed with the quality of the preparation work, especially considering that they were to apply a coating over the block walls after the walls were cleaned. They performed a very spotty job caulking some, but certainly not all, of the cracks found in the walls. They did a very poor job addressing the scaling and flaking of the old coating that had been applied to the block walls 25 years ago. I myself went over the walls to remove all of the loose scalling after PuroClean completed what they thought was adequate preparation. After watching PuroClean get halfway through painting the walls, I asked why they were not using the product that I had been told they would use in their original proposal. The workman stopped working and left to check on how to proceed. The next day, PuraClean returned with the correct product, but performed a sloppy job applying the coating. After watching their work, I eventually joined in with my own paint brush to make sure that all surfaces were covered and that clean, straight lines were achieved at the edges of the work. While the workmen were polite, I thought the quality of their work was quite disappointing.

PuroClean kept me informed of their progress on a daily basis informing me of the condition of the home as I was out of town for over a week during their clean-up. They went over-and-above attempting to rid the home of urine odor at no extra charge to me. Much of the odor was removed, but not all, as much was in the hardwood flooring, which I was having sanded down and refinished by another contractor. I have complete trust and confidence in the folks at PuroClean having developed a relationship with them when they took over the care and clean-up of smoke damage to all of our personal belongings and furniture, etc. from a fire in our home the previous month. We are still out of our home from the fire and I will do a review of that work at the time we are able to return to our home.

As opposed to another company that tried to sell us $6000 worth of remediation services, PuroClean was very honest and said that while work like that could be done, that it was unnecessary. He provided a quote for the work that actually would be of some value and it totalled about $500. Are we glad we got a second opinion? In fact, he told us what we needed to do to take care of the problem -- pretty basic stuff that even someone not very handy like myself could do -- so we ended up not getting any of the work done by a professional firm.

I called PuroClean with concerns about a mold smell & possible mold damage from an accident. Rick spoke with me on the phone and he was courteous and professional. He came to our home and did a complete check inspecting all the areas where I had concerns. He did not find mold, but gave me some ideas on how to make sure I don't get mold and get rid of a musty smell. There were no charges for Rick's consolation. I would definitely call this company back if I have future problems!

I'm not sure on the final outcome just yet as we need to make sure the mold has been taken care of. They were nice to work with, responsive, and I was comfortable having them in my home.

They did on a tight time frame and were able to meet that. The guys were courteous they cleaned up everything in the house that they had to move out the way. They did a great job and I highly recommend them.

After discovering mold behind the crown molding in our living room, my wife and I contacted Puroclean regarding potential mold remediation. The company could not have been more responsive and although we received a quote for the cleaning, it was recommended that we complete the job ourselves to save money. It was refreshing to receive such honest and helpful advice from a contractor. I would strongly recommend this company.

Rick Gutridge responded to my call immediately and we scheduled a mold inspection for the first moment I could be at the property I am purchasing. Rick called me before the appointment, said he was running 5 minutes behind due to detour traffic so I wouldn't be disappointed. He showed up right when he said he would. He did a full inspection of the property's rooms, the attic, the garage,all living space, and put his findings on letterhead that he emailed to me that evening so I had it for my bank the very next day. Timely, positive experienced. Rick's a really great guy and a true professional. He'll be the first person I call for anything like this in the future.

When we were selling our house, the inspector found some mold in our attic. On the inspector's report, it told us we had to use a certain company -- Air Technology -- and the buyer's realtor carried that over to the request for remedy. I thought it seemed ridiculous that they would tell us we had to use a certain company, so I called two other companies from Angie's List to get estimates. One of the companies was Puroclean. A.J. from Puroclean was fantastic! I had a very tight timeframe in which to get estimates. He came out right away and performed a free inspection and estimate. He thoroughly explained the situation and provided an estimate by the next day. The estimate was $1,400 to clean the entire area -- that was 30% lower than the other two estimates of $2,000 to do the exact same work. Puroclean's honesty, professionalism and commitment to customer service was really refreshing. Since closing was coming up, we ended up giving the buyers a portion of the money to complete the work, but if we had completed the work ourselves, we would have definitely gone with Puroclean. Don't let an inspector or realtor force you into working with one company...get an estimate from Puroclean! We were glad we did.

He looked at it and indicated that it was not mold. He gave us suggestions on keeping our attic dry by installing an electric fan. Even though it was a free estimate, I asked if he could write us a letter with his findings and suggestions because we were planning on putting our house on the market. He offered to do this for us for free, but we compensated him because he was professional, honest, and very helpful. He was great to work with.

When I have the bathroom completed they are going to sanitize the carpet. They are also going to come back and clean my carpet at no cost since the wheels from their fans left marks on my beige carpets. Rick the owner is very professional, and didn't even argue with me about the marks on the beige carpet. Every one was very nice and great to deal with. The work was covered by my insurance, I never saw a bill from them. I'd use them again and again.

I was highly stressed and frustrated by the time I contacted Rick at Puroclean. I don't know anything about mold remediation, and I was prepared to be taken advantage of. My insurance claims agent was of no help, as soon as I talked to Rick I felt reassured and confident, he charged a very fair rate. Also he does more then mold.
