 + 0 moreThe work went great and they were very easy to work with. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the we had mold in the calking about three months after the work was complete. They also stated that there glass was coated in smoothing to help with scum residue, but I did not see any difference. Overall they were great. I would use them again.

 + -1 morePrecision will not honor their work product. This leads me to believe that this company is trying to avoid any further repairs as it was their fault for recommending the repair instead of replacement. On reflection I should have caught that none of the other companies recommended a repair. So it appears Precision will take your money, but not honor their commitment to the customer nor be professional enough to explain why they cannot repair or replace the shower door frame. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: I highly recommend NOT using Precision Glass and Shower for any repairs to a Shower Glass Door frame. We had non-functioning door hinge on the shower door and mold was seen through the clear caulking forming between the fiberglass raised lip of our shower tray and the shower door base. We had called for an estimate on replacing the entire shower door frame. Precision came over and indicated they could repair the hinge and clean and replace the caulking to prevent mold from forming. Based on a $700 to $800 estimates for replacing the shower door frame, it was an easy decision to accept a $250 estimate to fix the hinge and replace the caulking. Precision came out and fixed the hinge but only replaced the caulking on the inside of the shower door area. Strike 1, we had to call them back to clean and replace the outside caulking on the door area. Strike 2, in a month mold could be seen through the clear caulking again. I asked them to have someone come out to give me options, as either they did not dry out the area between the shower door base and shower tray before applying the caulking or there is a leak either in the caulking or within in the frame. I was told that the technician, who was to provide options, would not come over as he felt it was a structural issue and I should hire a contractor. I asked Precision to have the technician tell me why they could not fix the issue and how he knew it was not a problem with their workmanship or a defect in the shower door frame. Strike 3, Precision has stopped returning my calls and do not reply to my emails.

 + -1 morePrecision was the second company I contacted about getting a quote for my glass shower door that had broken. The woman on the phone was very friendly and set up an appointment right away for an estimate. The gentleman that came to provide the estimate was nice and professional. They quoted half the price of the other company, so they won my business. The glass door was installed about 2 weeks later with no issues. The installers were very nice and called me ahead of time to make sure I would be home. They did a great job quickly installing the door. I am very happy with their service and I would definitely use them again!

He told us several things about the type, placement and installation of the door for our particular shower that another company didn't mention that were very helpful. The installer was very professional and was also able to replace the shower door sweep in our other bathroom while he was here. The price was also 10-15% less than the competitor we also called.

 + -1 moreThe whole process went very well. We contacted them and set up a time to meet. Jeff was on time and we explained that we were looking to replace our 21 year old deteriorated sliding glass shower doors with new hinged type shower door. He measured the opening and explained what he would suggest a pivot door system. He provided pictures for examples. This was what we were looking for. The cost he provided, with the 10% Angie's List discount was in line with other prices I had checked out online. We paid half then and the other half after installation was complete. I took about 3 weeks to make the custom door and then about another week when we could fit the installation into our schedule. The installation team was running late due to difficulties from the previous job, but called to let me know. They were about 2 hours late, but competed the installation in a couple of hours. The install team was very professional and friendly. The new shower door looks very nice and we are happy with it. I gave them a "B" for punctuality since the were late for the install, but did call to let us know they were running late.
Description of Work: Removed 21 year old deteriorated sliding glass shower doors and replaced with new custom hinged type shower door.
