I saw Norman working on a neighbor's yard and asked him to do an estimate for me and he came right over and by the next day he had an estimate ready. It was midway between two other estimates I'd had done, and because he was responsive (while the other companies delayed and didn't return my calls), I decided to use him. Two weeks later, my wall was finished. (This was in December, so not the busy season for yard work!) Norman is a careful worker who takes pride in what he does, communicates well, and truly wants to make his customers happy. I was totally satisfied with his service and highly recommend him.

Although I think the price was a little high for the size of the area, Norman and his crew were punctual, friendly, organized, and worked quickly. They were conscientious and did a good job cleaning up. After two weeks, there were several bare spots where the grass seed had washed away or didn't sprout. Norman came out and reseeded the area and like a true professional who stands by his work, he didn't charge for having to come out again.

Norm came out and made some great recommendations. What sealed the decision is he actually called and followed up a few days later with some other ideas. We ended up expanding the project to include landscaping the front beds and a side area (rock section with paver border around utilities and AC unit). Their quote was not the lowest but felt they would do the job right. Norm's team started right on time (actually a day early) and spent 4 full days at the house. They took out several truck loads on rocks and really cleared the yard. They add two large truck (18-wheel) loads of top soil which was really needed and not everyone was planning to do. Norm recommended tall fescue sod over blue grass which other landscapers were suggesting since it would handle the environment better. Sodding was completed by the 4th day and Norm provide sprinklers to use to water the lawn and went over the water schedule. Norm check back regularly to ensure the grass was doing well. 4 weeks later, even with putting the sod in over the two hottest weeks of the summer, the yard looks awesome! Called for an estimate and assessment of issues of settlement in our yard. Norm was very personable from the first contact, timely with initial appt, and very knowledgeable. Norm walked the entire property assessing what needed to be done and pointing out issues that we hadn't noticed. He throughly explained what would be done, timeline for completion, and provided a quote for the work to be completed. Norm started and completed the job within 4 days of the initial appt. The yard looks great..they did the whole job without the use of heavy equipment so our yard would not be damaged. Norm explained thoroughly what we needed to do to get the sod and seed growing, what fertilizer to use, watering schedule, and further maintenance needed in the future. We are very pleased with the completed project. I would definitely use Pitzer Landscaping again and would highly recommend them, as they do great work!

Norman and his crew were amazing, from the initial quote to the miracle they performed. The back yard is amazing, the paver patio looks new and is a space for entertaining. The vines are all gone. The trees are trimmed and you can now see the house from the street. We will use this company on our future projects. No need to look elsewhere! Call Norman

He responded very quickly to request for estimate. He made time in the schedule quickly and got the work done earlier than anticipated. A small issue arose during the work about just how something was arranged, and he immediately re-worked the plan.

Norman was prompt to come out after I requested an estimate to be done for some yard grading and gravel install. His price was fair, communicated with me well on the job timeline, and was able to complete the job in a few days (first spraying the area to kill the weeds, etc. and then doing the grading + gravel install). All and all, I was a very happy to have chosen Pitzer Landscaping to complete the job!

Norm and crew started right on schedule and finished the entire job within 3 days, as estimated. He has continued to follow up with me every week or so to check in on the progress of the sod and provide recommendations for future care. Yard looks great, receiving lots of compliments from family and friends.

They were great. We had a significant project. We met early; we met in March or April and waited on the weather to see when it would get better.

I had firewood delivered yesterday....my driver was right on time and delivered the cleanest...nicest split firewood I have ever purchased...I had 2 racks set up and my cord was indeed a cord....thought I would burn some today before I wrote this review...it burns nice...thanks guys...I will be a repeat customer....

This was the only provider who returned my calls, but that's fine! They responded later the same day, gave me a price and a time-frame, and they followed through in a very professional manner. The wood is excellent quality, and the guys who delivered it were on time and the delivery was quickly done.

Norman was very helpful in providing guidance and suggestions on how to improve each item that I wanted to have done. His suggestions on plants to remove and new ones to add was spot on, the area looks very clean and is exactly what I wanted. Also, the grading done was great - prior to this I was worried about water flow into the house I just purchased and what he has done provided the confidence that I don't need to worry about that anymore. Norman responded to the voicemail that I left describing the situation within an hour of having left it. He was already on a job in our area and offered to come over the same day to assess the situation and give an estimate. Once he saw what we needed we set up a time 3 days later for him and his crew to come over and grade the area. Norman called the day before the work was to be done and said that the weather forecast for the day scheduled was calling for massive storms to roll through the area. He asked if he could come out that day and get it done. When he showed up with his team they worked very quickly but very meticulously. Norman was directing the work himself while raking the dirt to exactly where it needed to be. Once finished, the area looked completely new. I would highly recommend Pitzer Landscaping. Anyone can have a strong work ethic - what sets Norman apart is the philosophy that treating people right is the core of maintaining good relationships. He truly believes in working for you and your yard, not just how many jobs he can do in a day. This is evidenced by the fact that he was booked about 4-6 weeks out, but found the time to come take care of our situation while already in the area.

Norman came over to provide an estimate and immediately recognized the urgency of getting the job completed as soon as possible. He was willing to pull guys off current jobs to come over the same day to complete the much needed lawn grading at my home which I really appreciated especially since rain was in the immediate forecast. The job was done promptly and I was completely satisfied. They even took the time to turn the existing mulch in my flowerbeds, which wasn't part of the work they hired to perform. They were very professional and thorough when explaining to me exactly what was done. I was also impressed by how well they cleaned up after the job was complete, there was no excess top soil or mulch left in the lawn or in the driveway.

We called and asked for an estimate. Norm came by within a week and wrote an estimate. We decided that we wanted to talk about options, so Norm came back within a couple of days of the request. He provided us with a couple of options and a strong recommendation. We went with all of them, and we are glad we did. We mentioned several issues with our lawn, and he remembered every one of them and took care of them all. The sod in the back yard looks fantastic, one month after laying it. The seeded areas in the front didn't fill in as well as we'd hoped, but it looks much better than it used to look. Norm always called ahead of time and showed up on time. He even returned in exactly two weeks to complete a part of the job, exactly as he said he would. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the service.

Norm communicated with us on every step of the project. He gave us detailed information about how much we needed to water and what we needed to do to maintain our beautiful yard. Norm and his employees came back several times throughout the summer to replant seed, fertilize and irrigate. He followed up constantly to make sure the grass was growing well and we weren't getting any flooding. In just less than a year our yard is absolutely stunning! We have thick bright green grass and gorgeous mulch beds.

The lawn renovation was a positive experience from the very beginning. Norm responded immediately to my initial request for his recommendation on what to do with the lawn, including an estimate. He was professional and pleasant to work with throughout the process, as were the members of his two-person crew. He truly seemed as interested in creating a beautiful lawn as I was in having him do it. Norm was flexible and willing to work with me as we went through the process, including a couple times that I changed my mind about things like the shape of the new beds. He made an active effort to keep me informed throughout the process, calling regularly to let me know what would be happening next and when it would be happening. The quality of the work was excellent. Norm continued to check in after the lawn was seeded to make sure it was getting enough water and being mown properly. The end result is the beginnings of a beautiful lawn and landscape. The new lawn care guy, who stopped by today to apply the first fall winterizing treatment, was impressed with the way the new grass is doing and assured me we will have the best lawn in the neighborhood next summer.
