PDQ Custom Tile

PDQ did an excellent job. Even though this was a small job, Chris visited the site to measure, and recommended a change in coverage that I adopted. Chris was flexible to accommodate a last minute change in my schedule. I would certain use PDQ again.

The job was started on time and finished on time as quoted. Installers arrived on time every day and cleaned up before leaving every day they were here. Chris Jacobs is the owner and is the nices guy you will ever meet.

Fantastic! We have hired many contractors in the past for various work on our house, and never before have we had the pleasure to work with such a great owner and team. Chris, truly knows his business as well as how important Customer Service is. Chris answered all questions for us, pointed out some things that we should watch for when picking out our tile, and responded to any of these quickly and efficiently. His installer has many years installing tile, and it showed, The work was done perfectly, and best of all days and days ahead of schedule. This company was top rated in our book, professional, very experienced, nice to work with, and Chris's number one goal is to truly make his client happy in every respect. We will for sure be using Chris again on our kitchen remodeling in the future and would highly recommend him and his team to anyone. We LOVE our new bathrooms.

Chris and his crew did an extensive master bathroom remodel. It included: tearing down the old shower and rebuilding a new, modern one, completely tiling floor to ceiling, removing whirlpool tub and old tile surround and installing new tile, tearing up old floor and putting down a new tile floor, tiling walls adjacent to toilet area, and tiling walls in front of and adjacent to sink, including making a mosaic tile frame for the mirror over the sink, and painting wall areas not tiled. Chris and his crew are very professional and exceptionally reliable. They are also very talented. The tile installed, including a mosaic design, various size tiles installed in various patterns, etc., was done beautifully. It is a work of art! The shower was built carefully, making sure there would be no leaks, etc. They also installed in the shower a shower seat and two shelves (of the material to match the sink top). They came every day at the exact hour they said they'd arrive at. They got to work right away. They were pleasant, friendly, discreet, and did everything possible not to bother us while they were working. They cleaned up nicely after each day of work. They worked quietly and steadily (except, of course, noise that had to be made in course of doing the job). Everything went exactly on schedule. The whole job was very well organized, when each facet of the remodel would be done, in what order. Chris arranged for everything, including the new made-to-order shower door, getting the new mirror, etc.. Special attention was paid to detail in every step of the job. If we had a question, Chris would always explain to us what was being done and why. In sum, we are very happy we chose PDQ to do our bathroom remodel!

Chris and his associates were very professional and personable. They do excellent work, were very considerate and did a very good job of cleaning up at the end of every day. Chris is very organized and does a great job of keeping things moving and meeting timelines. I appreciate his focus on reducing his impact yet making sure things are done correctly. He was very responsive to all of our concerns and ideas. I would not hesitate to use PDQ again or recommend his work.

We had them out here 3 different times. They are very details oriented, and very attentive. We have used them a couple of times, so we like them.

I was referred to PDQ Tile from a former customer. I called Chris with my kitchen ordeal. I had begun my remodel with a "Big Box" store and had an awful experience. He was polite as he listened to my story. He gave me some suggestions and scheduled to come out to see the mess in person. He spent over an hour with me discussing the project prior to even being hired for the job. He was not pleased with the quality of the products he had to work with but understood that we were stuck with the products (how the "Big Box" store tried to make up for the disaster). He and his crew were able to come out the next week to complete the job. They completed the floor and backsplash within a week. They were clean, nice, polite, and willing to work with my schedule. I spoke to Chris throughout the week with many questions and he was always available, willing and showed patience during each conversation. He is currently working on replacing our baseboard as a additional job in the kitchen. He had to travel to two different mills in order to replace our original baseboards that ended up needing to be custom cut. Chris and his crew have made the completion of this kitchen remodel very easy and the "heart" of my home is finally beating again. Thanks Chris!

They were just high. There was nothing wrong with them. They were punctual and nice people. I like them all the way around, they are very professional, it was all about the customer, I mean what you wanted, anything and everything you wanted. They were custom all the way, that's what I do like about them.

We keep having a problem with water in our basement bathroom. He has fixed it once and has now promised to come fix it again. He guarantees his work and wants it to be the best.

They came within one day, it was reasonably priced and it works perfectly. They do high quality work. When they do a job, it’s done right, it’s beautiful and they clean up after themselves.

They gave wonderful service. They were prompt. I called them, told them what the problem was. They came over and first looked to see if they could repair the other garbage disposal and when they could not, they took it out and replaced it with a new one. One thing I like about them is that they will not promise anything they can’t do. I will be using them very shortly.

He was good. We contacted him regarding the shower tile and cleaning the grout. He made a good point and so we haven’t used him yet. He was honest and gave us the real deal.

They were very neat, professional and the overall experience was very good.

We had a problem with one of the tile jobs they did on the bathroom job. The tile guy he had working for him was not that good. They had to come in and rip all of the work out that they did because they didn't do it correctly the first time. Be careful when contracting them.

He was good to work with to arrive at a mutually agreeable dollar quote. He is willing for the customer to supply any finishes they want but will try to meet or beat any other prices. He has a good relationship with area vendors and will meet with me at plumbing, tile and other vendors to select items. He will willingly discuss any areas of question until both of us are satisfied.

He did a lot of work, including moving plumbing. The job turned out great.

We chose this company because we had some pretty detailed tile work in our bathrooms and they supposedly specialize in tile. However, there were many mistakes made and we had to reorder tile twice to have things redone correctly. In the end, not everything was completed correctly and the owner was really getting an attitude with us because we wanted things done right.

They were joining an old house with a new addition for the flooring. Their quality was excellent. They actually did more than was necessary to insure a high quality job.

Chris was very pleasant to work with. He was responsive to our plans with the project but also willing to give advice about what he saw as the right way to do the project. A few problems arose as the project progressed, and the crew bent over backwards to complete the project to our satisfaction. The tile I had selected had a great deal more variability to them than I realized when I ordered the tile (this was my error, not PDQ's). The crew foreman even took up and reinstalled about 10 tiles in the center of the room because I thought it might look better. They went above and beyond as well when reinstalling the baseboards and cabinet trim to make it look great!

We put on a large addition. PDQ Tile was definitely the most positive, high quality contractor we dealt with!

I KNEW ABOUT HIS BAD REPORT BEFORE I HIRED HIM--BUT I TALKED TO HIM ABOUT IT AND DID NOT HAVE A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE. HE WAS ON TIME FOR ME, A HARD WORKER. I DEMANDED THAT THIS JOB BE DONE WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY MATERIALS AND WITH THE BEST HAND--HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A FLAWLESS JOB. HE CLEANED UP THE MESS TO THE POINT WHERE YOU NEVER WOULD HAVE KNOWN HE WAS THERE. HE REALLY WORKED AROUND OUR SCHEDULE TOO.

WE HAD TO FIRE CHRIS FOR ATTEMPTING TO COVER UP MISTAKES AND SHORT CUTS. Update: Chris started our bathroom remodeling project nearly 7 years ago. We fired him for sloppy work, and it cost a lot of money to have his work redone (see above). Recently, we had a contractor installing wiring in our attic crawl space, and he discovered that the bathroom exhaust fan was not connected to the roof vent. Steam has been going into our attic insulation all these years. Either Chris didn't know or didn't care that a bathroom exhaust fan, improperly installed, can create all sorts of hidden damage to a home. This moist air escaping into our attic space has been condensing. Now we need to investigate further to determine if there is mold and wood rot. This is typical of Chris's work. Aargh!
