Pat Scales Remodeling

While remodeling our masterbath, we wanted someone to install and finish the drywall. We called Pat and told him the timelime we wished this work done. He reviewed what needed to be done, gave the estimate, and committed to the time period we needed. The work, timeline, and estimate was completely on target. We will definately use him again and would recommend his company to others. It was a pleasure working with Pat and his staff and the work was excellent.

They are A+. The quality and the finishing of the work was good. He went out of his way to finish work properly. He took his time to do it right. He is a little pricey, but he is good.

They did a wonderful job. Pat is a very easy guy to work with. He sees to it that everything is finished correctly and came out promptly to fix one small problem that arose...which actually was not related to the installation but a problem with our old fan installation. I found them to be professional and they added some details to the plumbing which should have been done long ago.

Pat was extremely responsive and communicative, timely, and sensitive to my home's needs. He was proactive in finding solutions, and when problems arose unexpectedly in the course of the repair, he went above and beyond to address them. I am using him again soon.

They were very good. The guy came in and looked at what he had to do and said will be back in half an hour and got all the parts that he needed. He did the work and cleaned up. Everything was perfect and I had no problem. I was very, very pleased. The price was very good too and I compared it and I looked at other handymen type things on Angie’s list.

We called for an estimate for the renovation of our bathroom, that included, removal of old fixtures, installing a ceiling fan, floor tile, installing a new sink and vanity. Pat came by and provided an estimate for all of the renovations. Pricing was itemized out by each portion of the job (install new fan/light, fix any drywall, install tile, etc.). We were able to pick and choose exactly what part of the job we wanted completed. After deciding that we wanted to do some parts of the renovation ourselves, we were provided with a new estimate and were scheduled very quickly for our renovation. The guys came by bright and early and started to work installing the ceiling fan, removing the old vanity, installing of shut off valves, and repairing drywall. They were nice, efficient, and were helpful with answering my questions. The work was done after one day and they stopped by the next day to sand the drywall smooth. The next day, I noticed a small drip coming from one of the new shut off valves. Pat was quick to fix the issue and came by the next day. Thanks for the great work!

Pat was very good. He was on time, worked hard and was able to complete all services ask. In addition, Pat was able to give advice and estimates on future projects. I will have him return later this Summer!

Pat and his employees did an excellent job on all five projects they have completed for us. There were no cost over-runs and the work was completed on time.

Pat and his employee Eric did a very good job.They were both easy to deal with and accommodated our requests. They adjusted their schedule to accommodate the granite installation which we had a separate company do. Pat consulted us on everything to make sure we were all on the same page. He also offered suggestions along the way. Overall we are happy with their work. We would hire them again.

I received a reply to my initial inquiry very promptly. Pat showed up right on time for the estimate. Even though I live in an older and not very clean house, he was very respectful of his surroundings and took off his shoes. The estimate went well, but I wanted to be an educated consumer, so I got three more estimates after his visit.I felt more comfortable with Pat's professionalism, knowledge, pricing, and interest in doing the job than I did with any of the other people who considered the project. The majority of work was done in one day. Per my request, there was a follow-up visit for a small modification.Their pricing on appliance installation was much lower than Sears, and I'm glad they did the job because there was a little bit of "creative problem solving" to be done with my custom work and 102-year-old house. Upon completion of the project, as an after thought, I asked if they do any roofing. I thought we'd schedule a subsequent visit. Before I knew it, they were up on my roof doing my small repairs... at a VERY reasonable cost! When I received the invoice, I had some questions, and they were handled in a friendly manner. We had discussed some work verbally that hadn't been on the initial estimate, and when I had questions about the charges, they deferred to the pricing I said had been quoted to me rather than arguing or nickel-and-diming me. Overall, I am very pleased with the work performed, and I would recommend HTH to anyone!

They arrived on time. Access to the one fan was very much easier than the other. Both required going in to the attic through the garage. After verifying the master fan which was in need of replacement was indeed vented properly Eric started work on removal and installation of the new fan. In the meantime, Pat climbed over the a-frame ceiling joists to inspect the other fan. That also was properly vented so no work was necessary for that one. I was pleasantly surprised when receiving the bill that Pat had made an adjustment to lower the bill since the second fan was already vented properly. This was my very first experience in hiring someone to do this type of work. I normally have always done such things on my own. I am very pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness and the quality of the work. Everything was cleaned up before they left. I will definitely use them again should the need arise.

HTH employee arrived on time and completed the de-install/new install in about 3 hours. Plumbing did not leak after reconnection and caulking of back/side splashes was well done. Overall, job was well done in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost.

The man that runs it is Pat. They were very well priced. They do a variety of services. We needed different odds and ends. They could do everything. They did a really good job.

H&TH is a very reputable and dedicated operation. I had a tight deadline and Pat the owner came out to estimate, submitted a proposal the following morning, and the work was completed within a couple of days, spanning a weekend. Pat's wife runs the office while he is out working the field, and she stays on top of all communication, estimates, and billing, so you always have a point of contact who can respond to you quickly. During the job, even though one of Pat's subcontractors turned out to be unreliable, Pat showed up in his place and performed the work that the subcontractor was supposed to do, and completed the work on time despite the tight time frame, and even discounted a portion of the work because of his subcontractor's tardiness. That level of responsible, dedicated ownership that is rare, and Pat is serious about his business and his brand. A+

They did the job at a reasonable price.

In the end everything turned well but we had byumps in the road. He's a really nice.

They are really good to work with and I guess we will use them again. The owner is very reliable and trustworthy, as their name implies, and very professional.

Did a great job on the tile. The only thing is he did not complete the caulk around the tub. He did some caulking but it was not enough. Other than that it was a good job. The handyman was very friendly and polite.

I purchased most of the materials myself so most of the $1800 was for labor. All work was satisfactory. The worker was punctual and the projects were completed on time. There were a few minor problems which the owner took care of immediately. He is interested in making sure you are satisfied with his labor and is willing to work with you to insure you will give him a good report! He guarantees his work for one year.

Excellent. I have used Pat before and am very comfortable with him. Everything went as planned and the carpenter was here a couple days until the job was done.

The work was done efficiently and well. We were able to schedule soon after I emailed a list of jobs to Pat. The $300 price included the hardware purchased to complete the installation of the items I provided.

The service was fantastic as always. Pat called me back within an hour of me sending an e-mail asking for help and got someone out there the same day. They tightened everything in the faucet and told me what to watch for to determine if this is going to be an ongoing problem that needs a better part from the manufacturer, and if so they'd be happy to come back and put in new parts. Since it was covered by the warranty there was no charge.

They gave us an estimate reasonably fast. They were professional and they knew their stuff.
