Panic Lighting

Description of Work: They obtained a part for a ceiling light.

Description of Work: I ordered 5 light fixtures on 4/26/2011. According to the salesperson, they were in the warehouse ( in North Carolina) and would be here in 1 week. When I called to check on them ( 8 days later) I was told the had not shipped yet, that they would ship that Fri. and be here on Weds. the following week. When I called on Weds, I was told, once again, that they had not shipped, would ship on Fri. and, again, be here the following Weds. At that time I asked to speak to the manager. She said that she would call and find out what the problem was. She called back to say that their (Panic Lighting) check had not been posted, that they would not ship until it was and she did not know when that would be done. In addition, they had only ordered 4 of the fixtures, not the 5 that I needed. I told her that this was holding up my remodel. She said, again, that she did not know when they would arrive and made no offer to expidite the delivery. At that time, I cancelled the order and had her refund my credit card charges (which of course they needed paid in full to place th order and had been charged to my account the same day as the order). As a result, I have ordered the same items from another supplier (at a higher cost) and my project is still on hold while I await their arrival. I do, however, have a firm arrival date. Not only did Panic Lighting's failure to provide the materials as promised cost me more out-of-pocket, they have set me back 3 weeks on my remodel. At no time did they ever call me to tell me there was a delay or a problem. It is apparent that they have no mechanism in place to follow up on orders and make sure they arrive on time and if not, to find out why. I had used Panic Lighting extensively in the past (when building a new home) and several times since then. I will certainly never order anything from there again. My biggest complaint is the fact that they made no attempt to follow up on the order until I called, made no attempt to contact me, even when I requested a call-back from the sales person, and made no effort to expedite the delivery.

Description of Work: WE BOUGHT SEVERAL LIGHTS FROM THEM. MY HUSBAND EVENTUALLY BROKE ONE OF THE GLOBES AND THEY ORDERED A REPLACEMENT ONE FOR US.
