Painters' Delight

Shawn and his team are outstanding. Once they started our job, I was very impressed from the first day that they arrived with their punctuality, detail, and overall performance. They set the right expectation, cleaned up daily, and they're comprised of a very respectful, courteous team. I would HIGHLY recommend Shawn and his team to anyone. I know that I'll use them again as soon as I have another painting need. Thanks guys!

We would have liked to hire this company but we did not hire them because Shawn would not get back to us when we had questions. He was prompt when he came to do the estimate and very personable. However he took a week to get the estimate, we even had to email him to get it then. He said he was busy with other jobs and estimates. After we finally got the detailed estimate we emailed him the same day with some questions we wanted clarified. After 2 emails asking for a reply and a phone call that was never answered we sent another email asking if he wanted the job and finally got the reply that he was too busy. He wasted 2 weeks of our time. If you can't get in touch with the guy it's pointless to hire him, no matter how personable he is.

Our experience was not good and we do not recommend this provider. The provider was punctual for the appointment to estimate the job and was polite. The provider was also flexible when scheduling services as we had only an approximate closing date on the purchase of our home. When input from the provider was solicited regarding selection of paint colors (i.e. In your experience, does this color pull yellow? not decor suggestions), the provider recommended we contact a color consultant at a local Sherwin Williams store for assistance. The pricing information provided to us by the provider regarding the fee for the color consultant's services was incorrect and was actually twice the amount the provider stated it would be. During the course of the work, the provider painted two of the rooms the wrong color. While there did appear to be some culpability on the part of the Sherwin Wiliams store for the custom color for our daughter's bedroom, I hold the provider responsible for the incorrect color in the master bathroom. The provider had the color name and number and should have verified the accuracy of the color before applying the paint by obtaining a color card from the store. The provider did not do this and then had the temerity to tell us that with 11 paint colors, 2 incorrect colors was not really a poor performance. I disagree. The provider also acted like they were doing us a favor by fixing their mistake! In addition, the provider was very non-plussed by the inconvenience it was to us to have to have the rooms repainted. The provider had four days to complete the painting prior to us moving into the home. It was terribly inconvenient to have to take EVERYTHING out of our walk-in closet after moving all these items and placing them in the closet only four days prior, so the provider could repainted the walk-in closet. No price break was given to us for this inconvenience. Our daughter's room was painted bubble gum pink instead of the fuschia we had selected. The provider alleged the paint store mixed the custom color incorrectly. The provider had the paint mixed again and applied MULTIPLE coats in rapid succession (with insufficient drying time between coats) to cover the incorrect color they had previously applied. Because of the multiple coats applied with insufficient drying time between coats, the color of the accent wall was burgundy not fuschia. The provider told us to purchase the paint we wanted and he would apply a THIRD color. My husband had painted the fuschia accent wall in our daughter's bedroom at our previous home and it looked great, so we went to Lowe's and purchased the same brand of paint (Valspar) and had the technician match the custom color to our daughter's comforter. It was a perfect match! (To be continued below) After the painters were finished, we had the carpet in our home stretched and trimmed and then had the carpets cleaned. The provider who stretched our carpet asked me if I was aware that the painters had dripped pink paint in several places in our daughter's bedroom. The provider did not notify us of the paint spills and attempted to cover this mishap as evidenced by the lighter ring on the carpet around the paint splotches where the painter had unsuccessfully attempted to clean the spills. In addition to the paint spills, there were other issues with the care the provider took: 1. Not all blocking tape was removed when the paint was dry. 2. The provider did not push all appliances back in place. 3. Fine white powder from drywall sanding was left along the baseboards in the foyer and along the bannister. 4. The provider was careless in reapplying outlet covers and rehanging the bannister leaving both loose and moving. 5. The provider painted over the light switches in our son's bedroom. 6. Someone on the provider's crew left our refrigerator open. When advised of the issues with the job, the provider made offensive remarks about the patron and their expectations. The provider demanded payment of the final one-third installment before the job was completed which was against the contract. The provider stated we paid for a coat of primer and two coats of paint in our daughter's room and we received a coat of primer and SEVEN coats of paint, so he fulfilled his contract. Apparently, the fact that one room was still the incorrect color was immaterial to the provider. We agreed to pay the job in full with no guarantee the provider would fix the incorrect color of our daughter's room. We made this decision so that none of the provider's crew would suffer consequences for circumstances beyond their control. After receiving full payment, the provider did return and apply a coat of primer and two coats of the paint we purchased for our daughter's room; however, because of the numerous coats of paint the provider had previously applied, a third coat of paint was needed to provide full coverage (per the provider's most experienced crew member, Freddy), but the provider left the wall with inconsistent color saturation. The provider agreed to reimburse us for the paint he asked us to purchase for our daughter's room. A receipt for this paint purchase was given to the provider and we were not reimbursed for the cost of the paint until more than a week after the receipt was given to the provider, and then, only after multiple calls, texts and emails were sent to the provider regarding the reimbursement.

Very well ! Having to work around the schedule of the child care facility, Painters' Delight started Friday evening at 6:00 PM and worked all day Saturday and Sunday. Two coats paint on all walls, ceilings, wood doors and frames and wood base. Also refinished a wood shelving unit. Work was well done, very professional. Good people to work with. This was the 2nd project Painters' Delight has done for us over the last several years and we will gladly hire them again for the next project.

Amazing! Shawn and Freddie are both true professionals and perfectionists. They work until the job is finished and finished correctly.

I am a Painters Delight repeat customer because Mr Crome and his company do a better job at at better price than other painters I have used. They draw a perfect line between the ceiling and wall, are neat and pay attention to detail resulting in a very professional job. Wall prep and repair are done carefully without cutting corners. There are no spatters left on woodwork or fixtures. The painters are a pleasure to work with. They go about business in a quiet and concerted way. They don't waste time.

Painters' Delight is my go-to painting contractor. Shawn goes beyond simply estimating and completing the work. He is a painting *consultant* who adds value beyond the scope of the job. This was the third job that Painters' Delight has completed at my home. During today's job, I observed the painter pull a clean paint brush from his kit in order to dust off some base trim before applying some masking tape. That attention to quality and detail impresses me, and this task was performed when no one was looking (as far as he knew. :-)) The walls and ceiling look great, and I will call upon Shawn and his crew for my next paint job as well. It is a pleasure to do business with this company. You'll see.

Shawn Crome arrived as scheduled to collect any details required for the estimate. I met him and he provided information on the company. He was then at liberty to work on the measurements needed for an estimate. He left without comment which was all right as I had informed him I was preparing to go to my job. I subsequently received an email from the company stating they were unable to do this job as the pergola was too loose for any painting or staining. In actuality, that structure was not part of the requested bid. Had Shawn spoken to me while at my residence I may have been able to provide clarification enabling him to complete the estimate. My interactions with the Painter's Delight staff in scheduling my estimate and meeting Shawn were otherwise professional and quite acceptable.

They give me a good estimate, they were easy to work with concerning scheduling, and very neat during the job. They finished on time, and were also courteous and respectful to me.

Shawn and his crew did an excellent job. Showed up on time, completed the job as promised and didn't leave me a huge mess to clean up.

Shawn and his crew were excellent. All of them were a pleasure to have in my home. Shawn made sure everything was done right. They always came on time. I am not crazy about workers in my home, but they were all great. The results are wonderful.

They were excellent. If I recall correctly since it was four years ago, they came out pretty quickly after we purchased the big deal. They did a good job. They came a week or two after we purchased the big deal. I cannot remember if there were additional charges besides the $250. There were two painters who came. The painting job looked great. It was a terrific thing and I was glad that we did that. The fence looked terrific. The stain is still holding up well. I remember they were nice people and they did an excellent job so we were very happy with it.

Turned up on time, did an excellent job, cleaned up everything thoroughly after staying late to finish.

This is the second time that I used Painter's Delight. They do an excellent job. They clean up and perform the service exactly as described and on a timely basis.

They did a good job with the painting. My only complaint was with trying to get firm date when they would do the. They scheduled one day and then canceled on me. I had scheduled a day off from work. I was not happy.

They did such a great job! It is so nice to have all your painting work done in a day without having to do any taping or clean up! I generally make messes everywhere I go and they did not at all! I was very impressed with cleanliness and perfection.

We had expected a good job, what we received was an INCREDIBLE job!! Erin and Shawn provide excellent customer service and amazing results. We are so excited with the work and can't wait to have them back for more.

Painters Delight was very responsive in my request to paint my entire condo. I told them it was a rush job and they were out there the next day for an estimate. They were very professional and did an excellent job of gauging my expectations. They were able to start the very next day which was a huge plus. The quality of work was fantastic. There was not a spot of paint on my new hardwood floors and the edging around door frames and baseboards was excellent. Their price was slightly higher than other estimates I received but you get what you pay for. I am 100% satisfied with their work and would highly recommend them to anyone I know.

It went really well. He prepped the walls before he painted and did a good job. I was pleased. He was good and efficient and I would ask for the technician again.

I've used this company in the past and was pleased with the service. This time was no exception. The painter was prompt, clean and did quality work. The deal was for painting hours, not project. So the painter was flexible, even when I didn't like the color and he had to paint it over. I'll have them back again.

They had some conditions on that Big Deal and I had some other walls that did not fit their criteria. I also wanted an estimate for another job but they wanted to schedule a separate appointment for that. I could not get everything I wanted done at the same time. Overall, the service was fine.
