Description of Work: 1. Frame all walls for bar and add paneling to cover walls - Did not complete 2. Frame 10x10 base for chairs - Not started - agreed not to do 3. Tile all countertops with tile that is the closet match to existing tile with 6-inch back splash add wood trim on front of counter tops - Did not Complete 4. Add double-sided stainless steel sink - Did not Complete installation 5. Add one electric outlet in bar - Installed but did not complete wiring 6. 1/4 inch glass shelves 2 shelves per inset and stereo shelves 3/8 glass with 3 shelves - Not Started 7. Add standard mirrors in all insets except stereo inset - Not Started 9. Will buy and install carpet from own contractor on chair base - Agreed not to do. All work will take 4-8 days - Not achieved.

+ -1 moreSaturday at 12:35 pm, I called Matt to see if he was still coming. He said, he had me down for Sun @ 10:00 am. I told him, I know I didn't make that appointment because I go to church on Sundays. He said, he was out of town and couldn't come Sat. He offered to reschedule for Monday. I declined because his previous report was also a no call no show. He seems like a nice guy but may need help with time management.
Description of Work: I called Matt on a Wednesday to give me an estimate to finish my basement. I wanted the basement split into three sections, laundry, workout room, and family room. We scheduled an appointment for Sat @ 12:00 pm.

Description of Work: Called to schedule appointment for estimate. At appointed time Matt called to say he couldn't make it (traffic). Re-scheduled for next day (Sat.). No call/no show. Tried again on Monday again no call/no show. Sorry to have to complain. He seemed like a nice guy and knowledgeable but unprofessional and unreliable.

+ -1 moreOne Call Construction is by far the best contracting firm I have ever dealt with. Owner Matt Smith is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of home building and repair. One Call began work within a few days of giving me an estimate and finished the job on time and on budget. Smith and his crews were prompt, courteous and presentable. He checked in with me on a daily basis to tell me about progress until the job was finished. His recommendations solved a number of home maintenance issues within my budget yet without cutting any corners. The quality of the work is top-notch.
Description of Work: One Call performed a number of exterior maintenance functions: (1) checked and adjusted gutters on my two-story house for proper functioning; (2) painted the gutters and all the wood portions of my house (soffits, fascia, wood trim, front porch and front facade); (3)corrected a sagging front porch roof so that the attached gutter drained properly; (4) removed and replaced water-damaged wood from a corner of the screened-in porch at the rear of the house; and (5) straightened a bowing brick facade wall and installed a corner board over the gap between the brick and my house.

Description of Work: Power washed large 2-story house, including all wood trim and aluminum siding. The house hadn't been cleaned in a while and was quite grungy.

+ -1 moreMatt is awesome. He understood our emergency with showing the house and squeezed us into his schedule, even coming out on Sunday to finish. He is prompt, extremely polite, amazingly knowledgeable, fast, and neat. In fact, we are hiring him to come to our current home to refinish our basement! I heartily recommend Matt to anyone for repair, construction, or remodeling!
Description of Work: A home that we are showing developed a leak in the basement that lead to mildew and mold on the walls and carpet. Matt came in and broke out the wall where the leak was, determined that it was seeping through the foundation from a broken corner gutter drainage pipe, and told me that the sheetrock was sitting right on the concrete building up moisture. Within 2 days, he had dug out the pipe, replaced and glued it, broke out the damaged sheetrock wall and let the cinderblock foundation dry, replaced mildewed studs with thicker studs to give an inch of clearance to the sheetrock, drylocked the entire wall, sheetrocked, plastered, sanded, painted the entire wall and cut, and matched and stained the trim. All the carpeting was then replaced, and it looks fantastic!

+ 4 moreI was thrilled with One Call Construction throughout the process. Owner Matt Smith came out for an estimate the day after I called. He faxed the estimate that evening. His was the lowest of six estimates I received, but I believe the quality of the finished job is comparable to the other bids. He has several year's experience in custom home-building, and it shows! The walls are absolutely straight and flat and nicely finished, as are the trim and moldings. Matt is very knowledgeable about the building process and helped me to negotiate with my insurance company to cover some items the adjustor omitted. Also, he and his crews are courteous and presentable. He communicated with me on a daily basis about project status. When everything was done, they cleaned up the rooms completely.
Description of Work: They completely restored two finished basement rooms that had been destroyed by flooding. They removed old paneling, insulation, and a dropped ceiling. They treated framing for mold contamination and sealed. They replaced insulation. They reframed rooms as needed to conceal steel I-beams and to create more room for sump pump access. They hung drywall. They installed access panels for the electrical box and water meter. They installed a door for sump pump access. They finished off windows with wood framing. They installed floor molding and painted rooms. They installed a new track for the dropped ceiling and re-hung ceiling panels.

+ -1 moreWonderful. Matt Smith, the owner, has been punctual and professional throughout the process. He really knows buildings. He consulted with an engineer, to make sure the I-beams were the best solution for my basement. He has also made several suggestions to save me money.
Description of Work: I initially hired One Call, to refinish my basement. However, once they removed the old paneling, we discovered that my foundation walls had cracked and buckled. One Call installed five steel I-beams, to correct the bowed walls, filled the cracks in the walls, and sealed the walls with Dri-loc, to prevent any water from entering the basement.
