We are building a large patio in our yard. They were incredibly helpful with providing us insight on how to do this, as well as calculating the amount of material that we would need. Upon delivery, we were concerned that we did not have sufficient gravel, and despite some limitations with driver ability, they made the extra delivery we needed in a timely manner. I found these guys to be very professional, helpful, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend using them!

The driver delivered the mulch as scheduled. However, as I distributed the mulch, I noticed small pieces of trash in the mulch. It appeared that there was trash in the material before it was mulched. If the trash was not in the mulch I would have been 100% satisfied.

Last summer we installed a large raised deck in my daughter's backyard and decided to install a patio with stepping stones under it. We had a truckload of topsoil delivered from Jones topsoil at the beginning of the summer, and leveled it and laid stones around the perimeter. Since it was so much work wheel-barreling the topsoil to the fenced in back yard, we decided to hire someone to do the rest of the work. After checking Angie's list and seeing how expensive landscaping is, we decided to do the work ourselves. About a month ago,we talked to Ray at Ohio Mulch at Roberts Road and he gave us detailed advice on how to proceed. He told us we could buy what we want a little at a time, load it into our truck, and they would weigh the truck before and after, so we didn't have to pay delivery charges and have everything dumped in the driveway. A few weeks ago we brought twelve 5 gallon buckets to Ohio Mulch and shoveled them full of crushed limestone as Ray had advised. Since the place is only five minutes from our daughter's home, we made several trips back and forth over two days, wheelbarrowed the limestone to the yard and spread it out over 225 square feet. We then selected and loaded more than 90 large stepping stones and placed them over the crushed limestone. All this cost less than $200, but weighed more than 1 1/2 tons. Throughout on our many trips back and forth the staff were very friendly and helpful. As they advised, we watered the patio and let it settle for two weeks. On September 9 we bought buckets of coarse gravel and spread it between the stepping stones, thereby completing our patio. Doing the work ourselves and purchasing materials and following the advice of Ohio Mulch probably saved us well over a thousand dollars. Their prices, advice, support and accomodations to our many trips back and forth were wonderful, and we were especially happy we could pick out all our own stepping stones (my husband is a geologist).

I have been using 302 Mulch from Ohio Mulch for years and have always been satisfied. The product is natural, convenient size pine bark nuggets, that is easy to apply. The guys loading the vehicles are fast, but not too friendly. They don't seem to like what they are doing. The product is good, but the services leaves something to be desired.
