They never showed up or called. I was really disappointed.

Excellent job up to the point of seeding. I wish I'd would not have listened to Warner, who stated he can match the side and back yards so"you won't be able to tell the difference". He said he'll use Penn seed( grass seed encased in a cellulose coating that will retain water for faster germination and no straw or covering needed). Long story short, he used the wrong type of seed when applying application and also had all of the seed along the outer edges and little or none in the center of yard. (see photos) First picture shows type of match I was after, all other pictures show what I got instead. I should have not paid the bill in full, as Warner and Oakland Park Nursery will not return any calls or emails. They did a great job and managed to totally ruin the final stage of the job. Stop by, I show anyone before they waste money hiring Oakland Park Nursery.

My overall experience with them was very good, but we had a little miscommunication problem and was ultimately solved. They did an excellent job and it is nice and straight. Their price was better than the other two estimates I got.

Overall, it was great. The start of the major work was delayed due to weather. They weren't very proactive with communication but were very honest each time I called to check for a start date. Once the work started, there were no problems at all. Healthy plants went in according to design and the paver patio was installed quickly and with high quality. The fire pit is beautiful!

Came at my convenience and did a great job. Cleaned up afterwards. Left me with all information I would need to keep trees and bushes healthy. Gave me discount on package deal.

Mike of ON provided me with a basic landscaping improvement plan with some options; fee for plan was $80.00; actual work was implemented about 6 weeks later; work of ON crew took about 3 days and was nothing short of perfect. Start to finish was very easy. The project went as well as it did because Mike created a a very good plan and the crew assigned to the work was meticulous. This is far and away the best experience I have had with a landscaping company in Columbus.

Four men were here early in the morning and worked very hard until after 6 o'clock in the evening. They were professional, did the job, and did it well. We were, and are, very satisfied with the results.

They came out when promised. Very professional and did an excellent job.

Called for estimate, came within few days and 2 weeks later all work done in one day. Neighbors noticed how nice it all turned out. I have plantings on three sides of home.

The entire experience exceeded all my expectations, which were high to begin with because Oakland Nursery had come so highly recommended. Mike Warner visited one evening, listened carefully to my concerns, and then made thoughtful recommendations for what could be done. We agreed on an overall plan, and he emailed the price quote the next day. Although it was higher than I had predicted, I felt it was reasonable for quality work. We decided on a tentative start date. On the appointed day, Mike and his crew came at precisely the time he said they would. We reviewed the job, and I went off to work. When I came home that evening, I was amazed by what had been accomplished in just one day. The wall was mostly built and the stripping was completed. The second day, they completed the wall and began work on the driveway expansion and finished the seeding. On the third day (a Saturday), they completed the driveway in just a few hours, mulched the adjacent perennial bed, and provided me with good advice on making sure the grass seed germinates and thrives. The workers were extremely polite, tidy, and efficient. They finished the job on time, and it's even nicer than I could have imagined. The grass is coming up, and it's only been a little over a week. The invoice arrived yesterday for $900 less than the estimate, which was very welcome. Mike's above-and-beyond service also included a recommendation for pruning three trees and removing one in the front yard, which I can now do with the money I saved. The tree work will help ensure that the grass thrives and I'll have a wider choice of things to plant there. I love my new front yard!

Overall it was great experience. They are responsive and listen well and they don't try to sell anything beyond what I need.

Sara met with me and gave me some ideas for keeping the plant bed from eroding and the lawn and weeds from creeping into the bed. I liked her proposal. A few weeks later the work was scheduled. The two person crew brought the concrete cast "stones", some top soil and mulch to do the job. The workers were very professional and the installation was complete within a few hours. The south side of my house and my front flower bed look wonderful.

We have worked with Sara Mesarchik to design 2 other landscape projects. She came out and measured the area around the new addition and we discussed what I wanted and didn't want. The area is shaded by a huge oak tree so it somewhat limits what will grow. I didn't want a high wall but we would need some kind of wall because there is a level change to cover the drain. I needed access to the circle patio from the rest of the yard. She emailed us several iterations of designs and plants. I sent her some pictures of walls I liked. I chose plants from a list she suggested. That took about 2 weeks. Once we'd agreed, she sent us the contract and we made our downpayment. Sara told us it would be near the end of April. She called the Friday before to say that they might not get to us til later in the morning but they would be there. The crew showed up about 10:30 on the appointed day. I knew Paul, the crew chief, from our other projects. He has wonderful eye and he did a great job laying out the boulder wall. He worked on the new bed while the other people trimmed the roses and holly in the front and mulched the beds. They leveled the ground all around the addition which was just a mudhole before. They planted several flats of vinca from the fence all along the north side of the addition which is 20 ft. Paul finished out the S curve of the beds with mulch. They worked until almost 6 so they could finish the job since it was supposed to rain the next day. All we had to do was plant some grass to go up against the wall.

Mike's suggested plan was creative and gave the owner a choice of number of trees to install (after seeing them standing in the available space). The work crew did a beautiful job - by especially locating the Arborvitae trees along the property line (to eliminate intrusion into the neighbor's driveway).

The entire experience was excellent. Michael Warner was the individual I originally met with.

The quality and selection is great. My one complaint is that it is sometimes hard to find an employee to help you, particularly on the weekends.

This is a large nursery in Ohio, and may be a little more expensive than most others, but their quality of products are good. We were able to pick out the plants and shrubs that we wanted. The company planted them on Memorial Day.

They did a great job with the installation & it all looks great. It did take a few calls to get the job scheduled.

I was unsure what type of shrub to buy. I explained what I was looking for and the staff was very helpful in helping me. I selected the shrub they recommended. Later when I went to plant it I was unsure about the mature size so I called back. The staff on the phone quickly obtained the information I needed.

Overall they did a great job and we plan on using them again.

We were happy with the work that was done. They were helpful in finding the plants we wanted at the nursery, and they arrived as scheduled to deliver the bushes and plant the tree. It's been a few months, and the tree and bushes are doing well.

After trying to get someone to help me for 20 minutes, I finally got someone (who at first acted as if he was being totally put out). I explained what I wanted (height, light, etc.) and he then proceeded to walk me all over the place for over 1 1/2 hours. I ended up picking one of his recommendations, but as I went to leave another staff person asked if they could be of assistance. That person told me the plant I had would probably not do well where I was going to plant it. In about 15 minutes, the new person had me with new plants that I really liked. Where was that person to begin with!? Overall - they are very knowledgeable. But I don't want to spend over 2 hours in the store.

Mike Warner came out and designed a landscape plan for us on our home we purchased two years ago. Not knowing what to do exactly, we contacted Oakland Nursery based on reviews on Angie's list. We specifically asked from Mike from the reviews. He has 30 years experience with Oakland. We couldn't be happier with his design. After talking with us for some time asking the colors we were looking for and type of landscape, he marked off the area, took measurements and starting drawing up a plan on the spot. It was amazing in detail. After an hour or so, he showed us the plan and flipped through different books to show us the type of plants and flowers he was recommending. He really opened our eyes to the great possibilities. He was very friendly and stayed until all of our questions were answered. The cost was really cheap. I understand they hope you then buy all your plants from Oakland and there was never any pressure. However, you know it would be easy to have Mike pull your plants from the nursery for pick up. We really wanted to do it ourselves to save on cost. Oakland does provide the service if you don't want to. Best money we have spent our our house outside so far!

They did excellent on the design. The work was well executed by the workers. The designer was very experienced and knows his plants. We have used them before and we are always pleased with their work.
