O'Brien's Lock Service

I needed ignition cylinder work on a Chrysler Van and he did it. The primary need was to get the old cylinder drilled OUT of the van so this inition cylinder could be replaced. This shop gets Five stars or the equivalent of an A letter grade because it is probably the best in the Columbus area , at least at the price and for talking and sharing information the fellow gets between 99.9% and 100% . I would have like to have watched the work so I could learn how to do it myself. I tried it myself on a wrecking yard car and FAILED so I needed the help. He went beyond and actually put my new ignition cylinder in so I could start the towed in car and drive out of there. He also keyed a door knob lock for me and let me know I could get it set to the key without having the old key, allowing me to return new door lock cylinders I had purchased. A+ for announcing prices and sticking to what was said, A+ for work performance. The ONLY possible complaint would be he assets he told me to CALL before having it brought in. I did not hear that but he may have said "Call and bring it in". However there was no emphasis upon how important it was to call before having it brought in so he seemed disappointed that I had brought it in but completed the work with the emphasis at beginning that I should have called. Honestly, that's a trivial issue and why the shop has a near PERFECT rating despite what I'm pointing out here. Yes, an A+, with A-/B+_ on communication.

THEY WERE SCHEDULED TO COME BETWEEN 9:30 AND 10. I HAD SET IT UP BY WED. I WAITED AROUND UNTIL 1:30 AND THEY STILL DID NOT SHOW UP OR CALL. THEY STILL HAVE NEVER CALLED UP TO A WEEK LATER.

They always have great service. They have made car keys with no key to copy and repaired damaged car locks. (Price varies for number/ type of keys made.) I've always gone to their shop, but they do have traveling lock service.

THE LOCKSMITH WAS SITTING ON THE STREET AWAITING MY ARRIVAL. VERY PUNCTUAL, VERY PLEASANT.

HE SAID HE WOULD BE HERE BEFORE NOON AND HE WAS! HE DID EXCELLENT WORK AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH HIS SERVICE. HE EVEN CAME IN AND CHATTED A WHILE, HE IS A VERY NICE GENTLEMAN. HE WAS VERY GOOD AND HE FIXED IT. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH HIS PUNCTUALITY, ID GIVE HIM AN EXTRA "A" FOR THAT!

SWITCHED BROKEN (COULD NOT BE LOCKED FROM OUTSIDE) FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH BACK DOOR LOCK. EXPLAINED HOW TO KEEP LOCKS WORKING IN THE FUTURE. PRICES SEEMED HIGH FOR NEW LOCKS WHICH IS WHY WE OPTED TO SWITCH OUT THE LOCKS.
