This is the second project this company has performed for us. Excellent, quality work, very through and professional. Would highly recommend them.

I am very detail oriented and picky client. I really did expect everything to be perfect or to be very close! I was not disappointed.Skill and knowledge was incredible.

They work is so high quality and we are totally impressed with them. The work that they did is worth an award and they have won awards before. They have won the VIA awards and some other awards and they definitely do award winning work. We spent about $100,000 on all that work. They did just beautiful work. They also brought in an Amish cabinet maker who built our kitchen cabinet which is just screamingly beautiful. Their attention to quality is what stands out. This house was built in 1929 and they wanted to make the remodel fit with the ambience and d?cor of the house. It is definitely a brand new kitchen but it definitely fits into the style of the home. They replaced certain pieces of flooring in the dining room and you can?t even tell they are new because it just blends and matches so well and they are very good at that. The cork flooring in the kitchen is beautiful. Their price was a little higher, but it matches their quality and was definitely worth the extra.

We have done extensive research on various flooring products & installers. As we've researched Nicholson Builders, and had conversations with Bill Nicholson, we have been impressed with the knowledge, honesty, and integrity we have seen and will consider hiring them for our remodeling needs.

The job went very well. I liked one of the owners who came out. He seemed to understand what we wanted and he seemed to give us the confidence that he would do a good job. I thought that their price was high. The job did take longer than they said, but it wasn’t that bad

Very profressional. They detailed everything they were going to do, provided a schedule, explained pros and cons of decisions that needed to be made around design. Met our deadline. All vendors that they used were excellent, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. The whole process was effortless and stress free. Worth every penny!

We are more then pleased with our new kitchen. The planning phase was tedious but worth every minute when actual demolition and rebuild was done. John Nicholson, our architect, was responsive to our ideas and came up with a design that completely fit our needs. When the actual construction was started, we were given a timeline with weekly updates so we knew exactly when everything would happen. The site manager, Nathan, was on top of everything. Rich was our carpenter and couldn't have been better. His attention to details was incredible. He made sure that every detail was perfect. We had custom built cabinets which were a new design for Mervin and they turned out even better then we imagined. The installation of everything - flooring, plumbing changes, electrical changes, cabinets, ceramic counter tops, was more then we expected and they finished on time and on budget. They were always professional and punctual, keeping us aware of what was going to happen. Everyday they cleaned up so well, that we wouldn't have known they had been there working all day. The demolition and construction from start to finish was only 6 weeks.

They provide a good service. It is hard for me to maintain some things around the house and I have had them out to replace light fixtures, do some caulking, and other odds 'n ends. They sent the same gentleman that did the work originally, which is nice because I already have a comfort level with him.

They were very communicative. Any time we had a question or problem, they had a solution. They are expensive, but their attention to detail is excellent.

While we didn't select Nicholson to perform our door replacement and related repair work, we can say that the representative sent from this family owned company was super friendly and professional. If we have a larger project in the future, they will definately be on our list. We did not select them since this was a pretty small job, and they require a 3-5% retainer fee to quote the job. They will come out and give you a rough verbal number, but to provide a quote to do the job, you have to pay. That is understandable for larger quoting efforts, I understand, quoting is what I do for a living For a job like this, which is $3-4k, the other companies did not charge.

Excellent. Very high quality work. Great design experience. Project took longer than expected but delays were due to unforeseen circumstances.

They were pleasant. They were very professional and easy to work with. They quoted me high for a couple things and that is why I did not go with them. My first impression about them was very nice.

They are kind of our first fall back. If anything happens, then they'll help us or help us find somebody. The people that they use are the people I want in my house. I even like them; they are people who I consider very trustworthy. It seems to me like they have access to the best people around. When they have come out to insulate my attic, the guy was really an expert and he explained to me what could and could not be done in terms of prices. They removed a vent in a wall because I thought it was unsightly. They have made enormous changes to my house. There were huge iron pillars in the family room; they were really ugly. They change the appearance per my specifications. They always find a way to do a job and if it is not reasonable or possible, they will tell you so. If it is possible, they will do it. They haven’t done any piece of work for us that I had any problems with. They built a wall in one of our huts and they made a gate that I designed. Two weeks ago, they just installed the hardware. It took me about a year and a half to pick the hardware, so they are very patient. They are very expensive, but they are very trustworthy. Even their subcontractors are trustworthy. They have given me exactly what I wanted. I have never felt that they haven’t given me value for money. Their quality has been always good. They are very honest. They didn’t charge me for a mistake that we thought they made on a project; in fact, they had someone look into it and found that it was okay. They could have charged a lot of money, but they are very honest. However, they are very busy. My contact there is a very creative person and he has designed a great deal of things for me. They have always given me refunds when they couldn’t do all the work that they said they would do. They are very correct but sometimes they get very involved in their work. However, they also don’t send people who do not know what they are doing. They are very punctual and professional. Except for their communication, they are great. There is a lot of attention to detail, and I will continue to use them in the future.

Everything with the company went very well.They were positive and punctual. If we decided to follow through on this project than we would call them back.

NB is a first rate company. We knew what the final price would be, within a few hunderd dollars, before the project was even started. All of the people that were involved with the project were extremely nice and professional. We have a 1925 Clintonville bungalow, and we wanted an updated Arts & Crafts look. We could not be more please with the results.

The operation is top-notch. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. They are very concerned with your satisfaction and work hard to minimize the disruption during the project. Slight delay from the timeline, but this it to be expected given such a large and complex project. They would rather slightly delay the completion date to make sure the job is done properly. The final product was amazing.

Outstanding in all respects - craftsmanship, people, communication, helpfulness...everything was top notch. I did not get nickel & dimed to death throughout this project. Finished kitchen is a masterpiece.

They were fabulous, and we had a wonderful experience with them. They were extremely professional. They were responsive to our design needs. We love it. I could let my kids come home while they were here, and they were fine. It was great to be able to trust them totally. Their price was a little expensive.

They seem to know their business, but I did think they were a little pricey.

WE HAVE NEVER HAD A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH ANY PROJECT NICHOLSON HAS UNDERTAKEN TO DO FOR US.

My experience with them was excellent. I would highly recommend them. Their planning and design is excellent. It fit our interest perfectly. The quality of the work and attention to detail was great. All of the subcontractors were excellent. They were pleasant to work with. They were willing to work with us on many of the changes that we wanted to make. They gave us a schedule of what would be done each week. The price is fair for the quality of the work.

The service was great. The were professional. Everything was done in a timely matter. Once they started we had a schedule so that I knew when they were coming. They had a detailed contract that I signed so there were no surprises. I would highly recommend them.

They are one of the best companies we have ever used. They were on time everyday. They were very respectful of me and my home. They cleaned everything up at the end of the day. We are very pleased with the results. We felt comfortable with all of them in our home.

They were very responsible and on time. They had great management that came and over looked the project that was going on. I would recommend them to others and use them again.
