NATIONWIDE IRRIGATION

Chris Kolb the owner of the company came out to give a quote. I had used them before to put in my irrigation system. I was expanding it to the backyard. Chris gave a bunch of excuses on why he couldn't do the job, or all the work he had to do to complete it. I asked if he wanted to do the job or not. He asked for his quote back. Took it out of my hand walked away ripping it up. Completely rude and unprofessional. They lost a long term customer today.

Because we were leaving town before they would have otherwise gotten to our area, they made a special effort to work around our travel schedule. They have done the winterization of our system for the past several years. We've been very happy with them. More recently we've also used them for the required back flow prevention certification. Price seems to be competitive and service is pretty straightforward. We did have freeze damage to BFP last January which required replacement. Again, price seemed competitive, and I was totally satisfied with work. I have no reluctance at recommending them.

I did not like them at all. Their responsiveness was very poor, and the attitude of the guy who came out - who is the owner - was really poor.

Showed up with a crew of 6 bright and early in the morning and went straight to work. By the time I got showered and out the door to talk with them they were almost done and better yet the actually had common sense. The long list of things I wanted to make sure they knew were issues were already taken care of. We had 2 flower beds that were installed and had no irrigation, the guy had already picked up on it and had them installed. We had lines that were buried that had no heads and would just spray water, they had already located them and fixed them. The crew leader came over and introduced himself, the team was all super nice. This is now our irrigation company should we ever need anything else.

We were not very satisfied with the work they did because they did not busy some of the lines deep enough. When we had coronation done, some of the lines got punctured. We spent about $2500 on that service. The people that came out and did the work seemed nice and I just think that it the lines were not buried as deep as it should have been done, otherwise everybody acted professionally.

They did a fine job. The only thing I didn?t like is that apparently they had a person working for them that bought their repair business years back. They decided last fall that they were no longer going to deal with that repair person even though he had bought the whole business. I liked that other repair person. This other guy charged differently so I can?t compare their prices. It took a little bit to get them out here but he was here when he said he would be.

You do get a discount if you pay ahead. So far they have been pretty good about getting the service done and getting us on the schedule. There is some kind of wacky thing with their service poeple and we've gotten things in the mail which has made things confusing. It hasn't gotten in the way of actually getting service, we are still getting things taken care of in a prompt way. They are pretty good about getting things fixed without charging us so far. We do plan to continue using them, they are the ones who installed the system so they know what is going on.

They came exactly when they said they would come and the job cost exactly what they said it would cost. They were a very nice crew and very nice to my old dog and young children. They gave a complete orientation of the system and I felt very comfortable calling them if I had any questions. The price was the most reasonable quote I received.

Chris and the crew seemed to be in a rush to get everything done, which is understandable when you're paid by the job. The system works fine, however, they cut through most of the gutter/sump drain pipes and left them. Called them to come back and correct the issues. They came back the same day I called and did an "okay" fix on the pipes in front, but missed the biggest pipe in back that has 3 drains running into it. Called again to have them come back out to fix it as quickly as possible, as the sod was showing up in the next day or two. Chris stated that they couldn't come back for a while and to just mark the location so they could dig up the grass and fix it. Just what I want, new grass dug up and mud everywhere. Waiting for them to come back and fix.

They are very professional and polite. They are always there when they say they will be there. They do a really good job and I would recommend them and use them again.

We called Nationwide and left a message. (They always work with an answering machine -- a real, live human being does not answer the phone.) When we got a return call, we were then able to schedule our start up. Company did our house and many of the neighbors that same day, which made sense. At each house, time was spent checking and adjusting each zone. Final cost was discounted on the invoice because we had so many in the neighborhood done at the same time. This was a nice surprise. NOW COMES REPAIR TIME. We are still trying to get an appoinment to have the system repaired. One line has ruptured and is spraying water 20 feet in the air and onto the neighbor's garage. We had to shut off the whole system. The overall experience is good but not excellent. It's crazy that you can't get in touch with people directly just to set up an appointment.

Company was very responsive before the contract was signed and less so although still reasonable thereafter. Expect to do some work on your own. We had to purchase the deduct meters and pick them up. The meters were installed but we have to get them inspected even the installer will also do the inspection. We're not sure why he couldn't fill out the paperwork when he installed the meters. Why the separate appointment and delay? Some of the sprinkler heads are not installed quite right. One is digging a hole in the front yard. Adjustments aren't part of the installation. Again, why the separate appointment and delay?

This was an overall good experience. They coordinated their work with landscapers working on the same project. If you want a good job by good people at a fair price, call these people.

They were very reliable and punctual. They were very reasonable, and I thought they had the best price. They were also good at returning for a follow up.
