 + -1 moreThe initial plumber did not do something correct and a leak developed. They sent someone right out when I called and this plumber was able to correct whatever was causing the leak.
Description of Work: Had a garbage disposal recalled. So had to set up an installation of the one sent as a replacement.

 + -1 moreThey are not the cheapest but they are not the highest priced. They do not work on overtime or commission. They do excellent work. I would recommend them to anyone. We have used them before. The same technician ironically came for this call as well. We have a jet tub in our master bath. It had some leakage and we weren't sure where it was coming from. He found it and fixed it. They give you an estimate upfront so you know what you are getting. He fixed it. The last time they were here, he put in a new kitchen faucet for us and put in a new half bath for us. A new turnoff for the waters. The pipes were getting corroded and that type of thing. They just do good work. I would highly recommend them.

When John came out he was very professional and again, very nice, he assessed the simple thermocouple issue, told us the cost and fixed it. No fuss no muss! All terrific service and cost. Gave recommendations on preparing to replace our old water Heater - but understood that we need to nurse it along for now. He didn't try to upsell us or pressure us. Muetzel has a life-long customer in me!!

 + 0 moreIt went awful...I was very surprised because this company has an " A " rating.I didn't receive the estimate by the end of the day as Mike said I would.I called the next day and he was very rude to me on the phone.He started " Going off " ranting that everybody wants their estimate right away ! Then he stated that I might have it by the end of the week...this was on a Tuesday.Mind you, I was very clear that I needed to move forth with the work right away before he even came.I'm a Doctor here in Columbus and I expect professionalism and courtesy from my staff and I expect the same from any type of business...after all, companies provide a service and they wouldn't exist without paying customers.
Description of Work: I needed some plumbing lines addressed in a bathroom I'm rehabbing .A plumber named " Mike " looked at the job and said he'd have an estimate to me by the end of the day.

 + -1 moreThis company pulled a total bait and switch on me. Scheduler told me one thing and tech charged me a much higher price. Do not use them. When scheduling the appointment I was told a $40 charge would apply only if the tech needed to go behind a wall to find my leak and it would be credited if I hired them to completed the repair. I was charged $125 by the technician. I was also informed by the scheduler that most repairs are a flat rate price. I was quoted hourly for my repair and now that I'm checking pricing I'm finding them to be much more expensive than other providers.

Description of Work: The hot water was not working at a rental property. The water lines were interchanged. The plumber came out and figured out what was wrong. He indicated that I needed a certain part. When it came in he came back and installed it.

 + -1 moreThe repairman came when he said he would. He was very professional. But the fill valves that were put in look very cheap. He charges $120 each or $360 in total for 3 toilets35. I think that was way too expensive for the amount of time that it took and the cheapness of the parts.

 + -1 moreAll repairs went well. The repairmen were professional and thorough. When upstairs toilet was pulled they determined the subfloor should be replaced due to water damage, so they did not install the new toilet. All other work was completed in a timely manner. I will have them back to install the new toilet once I get the floor repaired.
Description of Work: Fix pipe connection under kitchen sink, replaced drain basket, check garbage disposal, rebuild toilet in basement bathroom, remove toilet to replace with new one in upstairs bathroom, replace leaking connection from wall to toilet.

Showed up on time, worked very hard to avoid digging up the floor (which was quite a feat since the pipe was poorly placed about 100 years ago), and replaced the broken section cleanly with new PVC. Cleaned everything up before they left and were polite and professional throughout. I really can't praise them enough!

 + 0 moreJohn persisted without a break until the job was done. He added pipes in the basement and other stuff until the job was completed. This was an emergency call. Shower now runs like a gem.
Description of Work: Emergency with shower backing up and not draining properly. Went in the basement and there were cast iron pipes and brass pipes were corroded and full of crud and were 50 years old and leaking. The electric snake could not penetrate the pipes upstairs due to rust and other stuff. Had to bust up old pipes to re-pipe and that was very time consuming and hard work. John persisted and kept on working until the job was done. Tested shower and there was no back-up. Drain was good and there was no leaks.

We were thankful for his calm and friendly manner because it is no fun not being able to use the water or restroom in your house all day. John gave us ideas on how to avoid this in the future as well as general plumbing advice for regular maintenance. We needed Mueztel plumbing under "emergency" circumstances and while it's no fun to pay extra for that, it was necessary under our circumstances. John was very kind and gracious which made a difficult day much easier. We will definitely use this business again!!

Everything was done very well, he was neat and considerate and replaced everything he had to take out of the under sink cabinet. He was pleasant but did not waste our time in chitchat. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work and the fact that everything was left clean and tidy.

 + -1 moreOverall, the experience with Muetzel was very positive. I'd like for viewers on Angie's List to dismiss the previous review of an 'F', as it was an unfair assessment. It was a professional and courteous experience (e.g. the technician wore shoe covers to protect the hard wood floors and even provided a clean mat to kneel upon where he performed his work). If our household chooses to have the faucet professionally repaired, I'd very much like to continue work with Muetzel. *Special thank you to John and his apprentice Cody, Shawn, and Melissa with Muetzel.
Description of Work: Per the previous trip (4/6/17), the technician with his apprentice did a very fine job in attempting to find the source of the kitchen sink leak. Albeit not being able to find the source of the leak on (4/6/17), the men spent a great deal of time trying to find the source; they searched the sink/faucet area, dishwasher, and basement area. There was a discounted fee of $20 for the service performed since they spent an hour and a half in the inspection area. Upon arrival of that particular visit, they arrived late only due to an error with the GPS -- I reside in Lewis Center, not Columbus. It is a common problem with folks trying to locate our home. Today's inspection (4/13/17) was also very thorough. The technician found the culprit of the problem and hence, explained how to repair the broken faucet. With a quote given, I am able to decide from three options on how best to repair the broken faucet: 1) customer provides new faucet & Muetzel worker installs it, 2) Muetzel worker buys & installs new faucet w/ sprayer or, 3) Muetzel worker buys & install new faucet w/o sprayer. All three options were given a price range and thoroughly explained by the technician about how the installation would take place.

 + -1 moreI was replacing a shower arm and the drop ear elbow broke off. I opened up drywall behind the shower to access the broken pipe. I called multiple plumbing companies. Many charge a fee just to drive to your house and provide an estimate. Muetzel Plumbing did not charge any service or travel fees. They were able to send somebody over the same day. The plumber was very nice and very professional. The estimate was fair and with an Angie's List coupon the price was very fair. I recommend Muetzel Plumbing and would definitely use them again.

He was very professional the entire time here, answering any questions we had and making sure he had covered everything before leaving. His work was excellent.
Description of Work: We had a shutoff put in so we could still have water go to our backup sump (which is water-powered) when we shut off the water to the rest of the house.

 + -1 moreI believe the person sent to do the job was a plumber trainee. He had to go outside several times to make phone calls. I think he had to call the shop for instruction. He made a trip to the hardware store & another to Home Depot. The parts purchased didn't work. So I was forced to go buy a new faucet that he installed. He charged $232.29 to install the faucet & $126.00 for his time other than faucet installation.
