I can't say enough good about the experience I had with Muetzel. I called at 10 a.m. and Shawn, the tech, was at our home at 1:30 p.m. the same day. Shawn was very professional, courteous, and friendly. He left no mess at all and finished the work in one hour and 45 minutes. I am so glad I called them. Everyone I spoke to, from the initial phone call, to the scheduling person, to Shawn, were very pleasant and polite. The scheduling person called me about 45 minutes before Shawn arrived, to say he was on his way. I would recommend this company to everyone, and will definitely use the company in the future.

I had called over the weekend and left a message with this company regarding a deduct meter. Melissa called me back Monday morning and left a message for me to call her back. When I called back on Tuesday and spoke with Holly regarding this she asked if I had worked with the company before. I had said no and she informed me that there was a flat rate for all their services but would not tell me what that is. I was confused because if it was a flat rate why she couldn't share that with me. I said that as she is aware time is money and if I made an appointment with the them and it ended up being much larger than another company I had just wasted that appointment time for both myself and their techs. I mentioned then that I was an AL customer and she informed me there was a coupon that was online I could present to the tech but she still would not give me the price. Unfortunately for them I will not be using them for even a quote as this could have been avoided if she simply could have said we charge this amount per visit.

Called and left a message 2 weeks ago on the answering service line but did not receive a call back. I called them back 2 days later and they were very responsive. The company provided a reminder call the day before and the plumber arrived within a 30 min window. He was knowledgeable and was able to adapt a new cartridge to fit our old tub faucet. The company reported they carry all common parts on the truck but he did not have the parts for the model of my faucet with him. He picked up the parts and returned within 15 minutes. He was accommodating when I added on the twist and turn drain after he arrived.

It took three phone calls, and leaving a message with an answering service during working hours to actually get me on the schedule. On the date of service, the agent was very punctual. However, he insisted he didn't need a key to access our sprinkler system. That was not the case, and he couldn't find the valve to turn it on. He was in our basement, outside and everywhere in between, trying to figure out how to actually run it. When I opened the access panel and turned the system on manually, the sprinklers didn't run because he had turned the valve off outside. We finally got it running and the actual test went quickly. I've used Meutzel the past few years and haven't had this kind of confusion before. I don't know if they were just having off days whenever I tried to contact them. Perhaps, the agent they sent was new. I'll use them again in the future, but I'll request someone with more experience in backflow testing.

Muetzel propmtly answered my call and sent someone out the same day that I called. The service tech, Shawn, was at all times professional and patiently answered several questions. Muezel provides an upfront quote, so no matter how long it takes them once they get started you already know the charge - this is a huge bonus in an old house where little jobs often turn out to be more difficult than expected. Shawn was neat and courteous.

They were very good. They were quick, polite, and clean. They were right on it with everything and we were very pleased.

I have used them on several occasions for everything from a leaky toilet to a replacement water heater. While they are not cheap, they are reliable, show up on time, do the job right the first time and charge a fair price. What more could you ask for?

They called 30 minutes before arriving as they said they would. The teck was very professional, assessed the situatio and brought in everything he needed in one trip. He explained everything he did and gave me some pointers on thing I asked about. Everything went well.

I called, explained my problem, and had a service call scheduled. The plumber came early in the morning, quickly assessed the problem, and gave me an estimate. He was professional, friendly, and fast. In less than an hour he had replaced a piece of the pipe and cleaned up the area where he worked. I appreciated his efficiency, and my dog loved him. I would hire Muetzel Plumbling again without hesitation.

As part of selling our house, we agreed to have the shut-off valve to the main floor gas fireplace replaced (rounded out) for the buyer. Upon inspection by Muetzel, it was determined that access to the area was blocked by the ceiling of the finished the basement. So an access hole was cut, only to discover that when the fireplace was installed by original owner, the gas line to the upstairs fireplace had been run incorrectly / jointly with the basement gas fireplace... The gas line routing was corrected, the valve was replaced, an access door was added & cut edges were covered with trim. Repair person was polite & friendly, answered all questions in layman's terms, and cleaned up the work area. Very good experience.

It went very well. Steve arrived on time and explained exactly what had to be done and how much it would cost. He also inspected my other pipes before starting. He replaced two lengths of pipe with commercial grade copper pipe which is thicker than the usual residential copper piping. He soldered everything in place. He and I tested all the faucets, toilets, etc. to make sure everything was working once the water had been turned back on. Steve was very friendly and professional. He answered all my questions and warned me that other leaks might occur in the future. I appreciated his honesty. When I couldn't find a coupon for Muetzel Plumbing in my latest Angie's List publication, he advised me to print one from the Angie's List website, which I did.

Excellent, start to finish. Our job was "worked" into their already full schedule on a Friday with short notice, and we appreciated that. What was supposed to be a routine installation (flex connector for gas stove) was complicated when the repairman discovered that the previously used gas line into the kitchen had been severed and capped in the basement. He was able to shut off the gas, install a new gas valve and fittings, and then he installed a longer flex connector to reach from the fitting through the floor to the stove. What was supposed to be a routine flex connector to a new gas stove turned out to be a much more complex installation. The repairman was quickly able to address the situation and offer a viable solution. He saw the job through to completion and we were able to use and enjoy our new stove immediately.

I was very happy with the gentleman who did the work. He explained everything that needed to be done and then afterwards told me what he had done. He answered all of my questions. He had a delightful personality. He even helped me push my washing machine back in place. Before he left he even sat down at the piano and played a song for me. I will use them from now on.

It was wonderful. I was very pleased. Adam made everything as easy as possible and didn't try to add on additional things I didn't need. He said I was missing the cover to my water heater and he might have another cover for me. He explained I could pick up the cover at no charge.

Excellent. Couldn't been better. I told them it was an emergency they had a plumber call me in minutes. He came out on a Saturday in 30 minutes. Called ahead of time. Very prompt. He snaked my drain 100 ft. Very impressive. It was worth every penny. I would give him A+ if I could.

Fine, done in timely manner. The plumber wore shoe booties to protect our floors.

The drain clogged late Wednesday night and I tried to plunge it myself only causing more problems. I found Muetzel here on Angie's List and read through their reviews, everything sounded good so I called just to leave a message. They actually have an overnight answering service so I left a message and description of the problem with the woman who answered. Thursday morning another woman called and scheduled an appointment for me on Friday morning between 7:30 and 8:00, I was impressed that I wouldn't have to wait for hours for someone to arrive! Our service tech showed up around 7:50 and was done about an hour later. Like I said before he was thorough and professional, he cleaned up even bringing his own mat for the floor. He explained to me that since the house was old and some renovations had taken place there were some funny connections in the drain and I may want to address those later on, not a surprise since we've had another do-it-yourself plumbing issue with the bathroom sink. There was a $20 coupon for Angie's List members and I used that, getting the price down from $167 to $147. I was surprised to get this done for under $150! All in all this was a great experience and I'll keep them in mind for any future plumbing issues we may have. Thank you Angie's List and Muetzel Plumbing & Heating!

From the initial phone call to the installation - this company was very professional and helpful. The person scheduling the appointment made it early enough that I was able to go to work after the contractor completed his work. The contractor came in - was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Since the sump pump was over 5 years old and not functioning he suggested that we replace it. It took less than an hour to complete the replacement - he checked to make sure it was working properly and that the drain to the street was clear. He explained everything he did clearly. Meutzel Plumbing and Heating will be my first phone call when I need plumbing or heating work!

The plumber replaced the pipes and the faucets without any problems. He had a VERY hard time replacingthe drain. But he tried an few different solutions and was finally successful. I was impressed by his perseverence. I have used Muetzel plumbing many times and I have ALWAYS been happy with the results. They are the only plumber I would use. Don't forget to look for the coupon

Same estimate as Waterworks: The estimate for 3-4 hours of work was over $750. That is approx $200/hr! It was a simple plumbing job that I wanted done right. But for that price, I wil read up on it and do it myself. No new pipes, no rerouting, no digging, just simple hookups to exsisting items in the guest bathroom that I am remodling. If they didn't want to do the job and it was to small to make it worth while, why didn't they say so. $750?????

It went pretty well. I thought it would be a lot more extensive. It turns out that the packing nut was loose. All I ended up paying was the trip fee. It was a cost effective solution. They were able to schedule the repair almost immediately. It was sooner than I expected.

The overall experience was very pleasant, no do or dont's this time.
