Miracle Method of Columbus

We are preparing our house to tell and considered a replacing the entire tub or a tub insert. These estimates exceeded $3,000. The refinishing job completed by Miracle Method left my tub and shower walls sparkling white and looking brand new. They did the job exactly as promised. I'm very happy with the results and would highly recommend them as an alternative to the much more costly options.

The process was great from start to finish. They were on time for the estimate and for the actual work. They were very professional. Since chemicals are used they made sure that all the surfaces that they did not need to come in contact with were covered. They also cleaned up afterwards. The process was well worth the result.

OWNERS AND WORKERS WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. WORK SCHEDULE AND PROCESS WERE EXPLAINED AND FOLLOWED. WORK WAS STARTED AND FINISHED AS SCHEDULED. ANGIE'S LIST $25 DISCOUNT WAS ALLOWED PLUS A $50 ALLOWANCE FOR A SMALL AREA ON SHOWER CEILING WHERE PAINT WAS PULLED OFF WHEN MASKING WAS REMOVED. OTHER WISE PRICE PAID WAS SAME AS WORK ORDER. FINISHED WORK WAS VERY GOOD.

We are very pleased. The tub looks brand new. Barry masked off our new tub surround, covered the floor, and put a plastic barrier in the doorway. We also had pink supports on a towel rack that were refinished to white. This was a much more affordable solution than replacing the tub which was in good shape. One warning, it is a very smelly process. But the results were great!

Their method gives a very toxic odor. The worker did not use an exhaust system for a good portion of the work. I was worried about this man since he performed most of the work without any protection. Maybe it was his own decision to work that way. The exhaust system he used did not really reduce the smell. We were informed about the smell that would occur and I expected it to be awful. Our family left for a couple of days. I was basically just worried about the protection of the employee and his safety and health because he did not wear a mask during the work. He may have used it for a short period of time, but the majority of the time he had no protection. Despite all of that the quality of the work was good. I would recommend them, except for that concern I had about the employee.

They did a very good job. The caulking could have been a little more premised.

The technician was prompt, efficient, polite, and careful. The results were excellent--the old, stained 1950's porcelain now looks like new. My only hesitancy about recommending this procedure is that it is far messier (drop cloths, equipment, and hoses through the house and down the hall) and more smelly than anything their website describes. The chemical smell lingered for about 24 hours. I was alarmed and called the company, who assured me it was just a smell, not particulates. But smells can indeed be dangerous, as we know about paint fumes, and nowhere on the Internet could I could find information about the chemicals used here. In short, it left me uneasy about what we were breathing, and I wish their website had given more information about the process and its safety. I can understand now why one of the Angie's report-givers freaked about the whole experience. Thus I'm unsure about making a recommendation.

A slightly messier process than I'd imagined, however Erik the guy that came out on the job was VERY meticulous in making sure everything was masked and covered. I had no clean-up to do. The whole process took about 6 hours+ on the first day and then a further 2 hours on the second. After the work was done I did notice a few little sand sized air bubbles that had burst, and when bathing I could feel like little salt grains, so I called the company and they came out the very next day and wet-sanded these off for me. All in all, I was more than happy with the company and the finished tub.

We chose Miracle Method because the tub and the tile in our guest bathroom are still in great condition and we didn't want to go to the expense and hassle of replacing them just to change the color. Everyone I spoke with on the phone and the workers who performed the job were all very professional. The tub and tile look great, but after a couple of weeks I noticed what looked like pin pricks in the tub. I called the company and they sent someone out the next day to redo the tub. Overall, it was a positive experience.

I HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. THE GROUT WAS UNEVEN AND INCONSISTENT, THERE WERE MANY PLACES IN WHICH THE SEALER WAS NOT SPRAYED ON PROPERLY OR TOTALLY SEALED, IT WAS VISIBLE TO THE NAKED EYE. THE CHEMICALS THEY USED, I REALIZE MAY BE REQUIRED FOR THE JOB, BUT THEY WERE VERY OVERPOWERING AND REALLY STUNK UP THE ENTIRE HOME. I CALLED THE OWNER AND HE OFFERED TO SEND THE SAME GUY BACK OUT TO REDO THE WORK, I DIDN'T FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH THAT, AND DIDN'T WANT THOSE CHEMICALS BACK IN MY HOME, SO I FOUND THAT UNACCEPTABLE. IT WAS OK THE FIRST TIME AROUND BECAUSE I HIRED THEM TO DO IT, AND I KNEW THERE WOULD BE CHEMICALS, BUT I WOULD NOT HAVE THEM BACK TO REDO THE JOB AND GO THROUGH THAT AGAIN. I CANCELED MY CHECK AND ENDED UP TEARING OUT THEIR WORK AND REDOING IT WITH A CULTURED MARBLE TUB SURROUND BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT THEM BACK IN MY HOME. WE ARE GETTING OUR HOME READY FOR SALE, AND DURING THAT PROCESS, I FOUND OUT THEY PUT A LIEN ON OUR HOME FOR AROUND $750.

No problems, they were able to fit into my schedule and Joe came right on time. He was careful to mask the surrounding areas and vented the paint sprayer outside to minimize the odor. The work was completed quickly with little mess and much less smell than I was anticipating. He returned the next morning to polish the tub and clean up. Joe was competent, friendly, and punctual.

The fellow that came answered all my questions, showed up on time. The price didn't seem too unreasonable and so far it seems to be holding up well. They could have cleaned up a little better.

The finished result is very good. We were slightly disappointed in the tile, but when we asked them to come out to check on it they re-did the whole tile surround. They are a very good company and stand behind their work. This is a VERY acceptable, affordable way to update bathtubs, etc. I must say it is quite very smelly.

Overall, I was pleased. The person coming to do the estimate was on time. Bob, who did the work, was on time both days and was polite and efficient. My bathroom mirror, faucet, cabinets, and walls were masked to protect them during the work. The day after the work was completed, I noticed that a small area about 2 inches long had the paint and a small part of the wall removed by the masking materials. I will have to try to patch that area and re-paint it. It's not large, but it's a bit annoying to have to do that. The only other issue I have is that the company really should warn people about the severe overpowering fumes this type of work produces. I was not prepared for how bad it was. For someone sensitive to smells or with respiratory issues such as asthma, this is a substantial problem. I wish I would have known ahead of time that I would not be able to stay at my house for a couple of nights. I am pleased with the results, though.

We had an cast iron bathtub in our older Westerville home that needed to be refinished. This process had been attempted about six years ago by another company and the tub was in poor shape after just a couple of years (peeling, etc.). We chose Miracle Method of Columbus because of their excellent Angie's List rating. I am glad we did. They restored the tub so that it looks new. They were courteous, prompt and professional. I spoke with Leo Sayles and he struck me as an honest and fair person. I would recommend Miracle Method of Columbus to anyone.

The price was very reasonable. Puncuality wasn't the best. There were several tiny air bubbles in the finish that were not noticeable unless you were looking for them. The caulk job wasn't very good. I have my own caulking to do, so I'll fix it. The overspray landed over everything, including the new window, tongue & groove door, and tile after I was told none of that would be affected. I'm very picky, so I'll go back and try to remove as much as possible. The job was OK. The most important, to me, is to see how the refinish and future customer service holds up. Future business and referral will be determined on it.

We had the same chip repaired previously by a different company. It never looked "finished" and the patch started to degrade. Miracle Method removed the old patch and refinished the area. The new patch blends in perfectly! The technician was on time, polite, and conscientious. He forgot a small cup of solvent in our bathroom when he was cleaning up. He called shortly after he left to have me look for it. He was concerned our pets would get into it and was looking out for their safety. Nice that he thought about them!

I was pleased with the initial work, the surface looks very good and the workers were very professional. However,I feel that problem resolution following the initial job is as important as the job itself. Miracle Method was very quick to respond when I was interested in the service but 3 weeks after completion of the job when a small 2x2 inch tile became loose, they were going to charge me $150 for a repair. This seems outrageous.

Miracle Method did the work with only two day's notice. The work was excellent. The repaired tiles are almost undetectable. The technician was prompt and polite.

Emily was extremely helpful when I phoned. She walked me through the two day process, answered my questions, and referred me to their website which had a video explaining the process. Actual refinishing took about four hours the first day and about an hour the second. The smell the first day is very strong and permeated the entire house. However, it was gone by the end of the second day. The tub looks incredible. It was very stained and scratched and never looked clean no matter how hard you scrubbed. Now it looks brand new.

I was pleased with my experience from beginning to end dealing with this company. Emily gave me a quote over the phone. The work was scheduled immediately. The individuals that performed the job were on time, were polite, explained the entire process in detail, did a beautiful job and cleaned up after themselves.

The experience was wonderful. I called for an estimate and spoke with Emily, who was very knowledgeable and explained everything that would be done. I was able to schedule my appointment for service on the days that worked for me. It was a two day process. The first day took about 4 hours and included removing old caulk and glue, cleaning and refinishing the tub. Erik was on time, very neat and a nice guy. The second day took about an hour. Barry came on time. Another really nice guy, and also very neat with his work. He applied the non-slip texture to the bottom of the tub, applied new caulking and cleaned up. You couldn't even tell that anyone had done any work except for the sparkling new bathtub. I am so pleased with the results. It looks like we have a brand new tub. You can tell that everyone there (at least those I came in contact with) take great pride in their work and customer satisfaction.

Repairman was on time and very polite. Did good work.

MM people were courteous, professional and took care to mask areas properly. Fumes were pretty potent but we opened the window in the shower and closed the door. The worker was delayed the second day but notified us of that fact and arrived exactly when he said he would. I would use them again.

The process created very strong fumes that last for about 24 hours. We left windows open and still could hardly stand it. Ventilate the area or leave the house.
