Matt was really easy to work with and responsive. He did a great job and was really genuine. I would recommend him to anyone needing plumbing work done in their house.

Fixed the leak and the toilet by putting new wax seal on it. No issues afterwards! Only thing that I had an issue with was a $99 service fee on top of repair. I found out afterwards many places use that fee towards the repair if anything is performed so it cost me a little more than it should have. But overall I am satisfied.

Excellent - very honest and professional, he explained how he could definitely replace the old plumbing, but not necessary at this time, as it was fine and functional as is. Not very often to come across such honesty and someone not trying to sell something that didn't need - I really appreciate his honesty and explaining everything so well, and definitely will call in the future.

Plumber was here at 10:30, and didn't leave till 5:30. LOTS of hard work! He was experienced, nice to talk to, and courteous. Repairs that were on the estimate were completed. Next day, owner, Michael McDermott came over to inspect the job and go over the invoice. He too is easy to talk to, gave us lots of time to ask questions, and was very nice. My husband and I felt he was completely trustworthy, and very experienced. Plumbing repairs are expensive, but we felt he was being completely honest in his evaluation of the job and the cost of the repairs. Would definitely use his company again!

Being that my main water shut-off valve is connected to the city water, this was not a "do-it myself" job. The shut-off valve was leaking, and I did not want to risk an unstoppable force of city water flooding my basement. I needed a vendor that could legally shut off my city water valve and get the job done right. Michael was responsive and courteous. He answered my initial inquiry call and was able to confirm that this was not an emergency. We scheduled the service and Michael responded during the agreed-upon service window. He was able to repair the valve in a timely matter, and his behavior was kind and professional.

Needed to have plumber to deal with badly clogged toilet in first floor guest bath. It was a Saturday so few companies available. I chose McDermott based on positive Angie's List reviews. The owner, Michael McDermott, took the call and, after alerting me to emergency charges on weekend, said he could send someone shortly. The situation required that we have assistance immediately so we accepted the extra emergency charges. As it turned out, the owner arrived himself in less than an hour. He snaked the toilet and made sure it was working properly before leaving. He also explained why the toilet might need to be replaced in the future due to its age and gave us ideas about replacement products. We had not used McDermott before this but he did not hesitate to come out on a Saturday and postpone a personal commitment. Mike was very professional, thorough and informative. I would hire him again without question and recommend McDermott Plumbing to others.

They tied into our existing plumbing, they drilled the holes into the floors to bring the plumbing up into the half bath. They installed the toilet, they installed the sink. They were an ?A?, and we found them through Angie?s List. They got very good reviews through Angie?s List, which is why we went with them. McDermott did an absolutely wonderful job! They were very professional, they were prompt, they have excellent communication. The way that they handle their books is impressive, everything is done electronically. They were very quick, they came and were about 3 or 4 hours from start to finish on the job. We were really happy with the price. I think the price was a little higher than it actually was. We do plan on using them again. We went with them because they not only gave us the best price, they were the most communicative and they were just very professional. They were very quick, very efficient, very professional, they did a quality job. Everything is installed, there is no like unfinished woodwork or anything like that. There is no unfinished flooring around the toilet, they did a very nice job installing it.

Michael was quite confident and knowledgeable about his craft. He was very responsive, patient and takes whatever amount of time needed to answer your questions at any time. He would share his experience and other info related to remodel in general as well. He is very friendly and professional. He does great work and cleans up after himself. He was able to move up our schedule by a couple of days by working throughout a weekend. That really helped us a great deal. So far what we have seen is all good quality work. Our general contractor was behind on his work, so a partition wall was not in place timely for a drain rough-in for a future bathroom upstairs. The lack of communication on precise measurements caused this rough-in to be several inches off. Michael was not thrilled about redoing the work, but I think he understood these sort of things sometimes happen and agreed to redo it without charge. Overall we are more than happy with his work. We are glad to have selected the right plumber. They are hard to find these days.

I bought a hot water tank from McDermott 10/12/15 and it was leaking. Called them and they came out the next day. Worker came on time and was very nice. Fixed the problem in 10 mins. Before he left he asked if I had any more plumbing problems he could fix. Parts were under warranty and they charged me nothing for labor.

Fine. Faucet was an easy install. The leak was more complicated but was done to my satisfaction

On time and work was professionally done.

Mike worked on both drains and after a slight struggle was able to clear them both.

Mike was a pleasure to work with. Flexible and did a great job of addressing all concerns. He is on our list for future work for sure.

I called them on Saturday morning so we could get a leak taken care of over the weekend since they say they work 24/7. The person I talked to took my number and said they would call back. They never did. I ended up finding up someone else after wasting several hours waiting for the callback.

They were on time and efficient with their work. The basement cleanout would not come loose so he snaked from the kitchen drain. (my choice). He explained everything in detail and answered all my questions.

I did not have to wait to set up an appointment to get the work done. Mike is very professional and knows what he is doing. His quality of work is exceptional. The price may be a little high but you get what you pay for. When the work was completed, Mike did such a good job cleaning up that I would not have known he was in the house. If he has time and other work needs to be done he will take care of any other problems. I found this to be an excellent company and would not hesitate to hire again.

It went very well. He did a great job at both and was very efficient. He was a very honest man in consulting me what to do, especially with the shower fix. I thought he was professional, courteous, and the it was well priced. He fixed the high pitch noise in the shower and the toilet works great. I would highly recommend McDermott Plumbing to anyone and will be using them for all my plumbing needs.

In regards to the upstairs bathroom leak, McDermott was responsive and efficient. As for our battery back up sump pump, it seems to be operating smoothly. However, in regards to the other work, we were quite disappointed and asked McDermott to return to our home several times to correct problems with their work. The new portion of our stack leaked (they corrected this problem immediately and sufficiently). The shower pan was installed unevenly and was described to us as such, without an offer to correct it. With some prodding, McDermott returned to pull the pan back up free of charge. Most frustrating and concerning to us was the problem we began to have in our previously-dry, waterproofed basement after they lay the underground plumbing for our new bathroom. After each heavy rain, we began to have standing water in our basement, near our new bathroom. McDermott came to assess the situation, yet insisted there was nothing they could do to correct this issue, and refused to admit fault, though the standing water issue had never occurred prior to their underground plumbing work. We found their unwillingness to work with us to correct the problem to be very disappointing. As we no longer trusted McDermott's integrity of work or customer service response, we contacted the waterproofing company who had originally installed our waterproofing system and hired them to correct McDermott's errors, which they did, going above and beyond our expectations.

I was having major issues with my basement flooding, and was getting the "run-around" from the builder. I asked Michael McDermott to come to my house and do a diagnostic of the basement so I had a second opinion. He was extremely professional, and showed he truly cared about the issues I was having with my basement. He ended up giving me awesome advice, which I have used to get the ball rolling on getting the issues resolved. I would definitely call him again!

The service was excellent. Mr. McDermott arrived on time. He checked the work to be done, and explained options for the services to be completed. The work was to our satisfaction, and the price was fair. When I have plumbing problems, I will definitely call McDermott Plumbing.

After being referred by a friend and seeing reviews on Angie's list, we call Mike for a quotation--he came out and assessed the trouble areas quickly. He was courteous, prompt, very thorough and even gave us some great preventative advice seeing where some trees have been planted and pointed out future issues with drains because of roots. Mike provided a quick and very competitive quotation and advised some proactive/preventative solutions--we had four other reputable companies come out and assess and also give their quotations and advice and we believe Mike's assessment and recommendation was the best short and long term solution. Mike replaced/repaired the 5 drains and corrected some of the faulty work done by previous owners in connection of the sump pumps to drains. So far, the drains seem to be working well and we've noticed our sump pumps are working more efficiently with properly installed drains and connections around our exterior.
