He was great! He was on time, professional, and didn't doddle around. He always calls before he's coming and I couldn't be more pleased!

I woke up to cold water and figured something was wrong with the water heater. I called several plumbers and McDermott was the most responsive - and had the best reviews. Michael came out the same day and installed a new water heater. He discovered the old one had been leaking for some time and finally gave out. He explained everything and showed me the issue. While here, he also fixed an old toilet and took a quick look at the sump pump. I highly recommend him. Great work!

It went well. He did all the work in one day.

On 2/2/2018 I submitted a service request to McDermott Plumbing. On 2/3/2018 I received a reply and scheduled an appointment for 2/12/2018 with a 12-4 arrival window. After hearing nothing from McDermott Plumbing all day, at 4:15 I called the get in touch number listed on the website and explained the situation and asked for an update. Would the technician still be coming out today? Would the appointment be rescheduled for tomorrow? The person answered the phone said they would page the technician and have them contact me. After waiting another 45 minutes I have given up. I will try another plumbing service and let everyone know the unprofessional business run by McDermott Plumbing.

Michael was awesome. First of all, his customer service and professionalism over the phone left me feeling confident that I found the right plumber. He understood the urgency of our situation since we had to shut the water off to our house. He was prompt (actually even a little early) for the appointment. He reviewed the situation with me and explained the work he needed to do to resolve our problem. I was really impressed with his work and professionalism. I can't pay a bigger compliment than to say that I found my new go-to plumber for all my future needs.

Mike arrived as scheduled and replaced our gas water heater in a timely and professional manner. We're very satisfied with his prompt service and it was great to have hot water again during arctic weather conditions.

Mike came out and personally did the work. Initially we thought the old toilet just needed fixing in the tank. Mike suggested replacing the whole toilet which cost about the same price of fixing the old one, so that’s what we did. Best choice ever!!!! The sump pump did need replacing and Mike was great and quick getting it done. Both of these will be the last ones we’ll ever need. McDermott Plumbing will continue to be our ‘go to’ company.

The service was fine. I decided not to move forward with the circulator. He was on time, prompt and very professional. I would use them again and recommend their service.

It turned out that the water heater had been turned off during the installation of my new furnace and just needed to be turned on again. McDermott didn't charge me for the visit and didn't even make me feel stupid for not being able to turn it on myself :). They were very responsive - called me right back and were able to set up a visit the same day. While the plumber was there we talked about long-term plans for repairing/replacing my water heater (which is over ten years old) - the plumber was helpful and was not aggressive in pushing me to replace the water heater right away or upselling to a tankless water heater. I asked about quotes for a new water heater which he sent right away.

Perfect. They gave me the best options for my money and performed great service. I highly recommend.

Michael McDermott performed the services himself. We had used him the month before for an emergency repair so hired again. He is a good plumber but we likely would not hire again due to his fairly exhorbitant fees. Unlike most plumbers we have used who charge by the hour and therefore perform any plumbing services requested in the timeframe, McDermott charges for each and every service. If you hire him, be sure you nail down and understand exactly what the charges will be. Perhaps it was my fault, but I was taken aback by the final charges and was not aware that the price quoted on the phone did not include an approximately $90 charge for just coming to the house, in addition to a fee for clearing a toilet and another $180 to snake the two sinks in the master bath (which took him about 10 minutes). Total bill came to $347 to clear the toilet and the two sinks. He was here about 30 minutes.

My experience with McDermott Plumbing was excellent. Mike McDermott installed my new water tank and venting. He arrived promptly and was very efficient. He provided me with an explanation on how the water tank will function and answered all of my questions. He did great work!

He is very professional, takes pride at what he does. He does it right and doesn't believe in having to come back to re do it. Michael McDermott is the owner, does a good job, free service call and he is license, bonded and insured.

He had to come back to fix something that wasn't done right the first time. ?Frankly, he just didn't have the right tool the first time and tried to use something different. ?But he was very prompt in coming back. I would use him again, if I couldn't find someone better.

He is a little pricey, but he is a nice guy.

Disposal fixed within minutes. And Mike had all the equipment and parts needed for the surprise requests to install a new faucet and run water to the south wall of our basement for the hose outlet. Whole job was likely finished in under two hours and well done. We are very happy customers.

Mike was extremely professional, cleaned up the work area after, and helped me take pictures/videos of the incorrect work that had been done by the other service. It did take almost a week for him to come out as this was not an "emergency" call but he did come during the scheduled time and gave me a courtesy call prior to coming. He was very friendly and helpful as I had many questions.

Everything went fine. Mike was able to get me in the same afternoon.
