Absolutely terrible, avoid this company. The tech arrived extremely late, didn't complete the job and left without notifying me. Once I made a complaint to the management they blamed me for the issue and refused to refund my money. This place is a scam.

IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE… THEY SENT A YOUNG KID TO REPLACE CONDENSER UNIT AND NEW A COIL…THIS KID DID THE WORST JOB I HAVE EVER SEEN ALL MY METAL WORK LOOKED LIKE SWISS CHEESE AND WHEN ASKED HE SAID YA IM GOING TO DUCT TAPE THAT .. THE NEW A COIL WAS BIGGER THEN THE ONE THAT WAS BAD SO THE METAL WORK WAS HORRIFFIC ASKED HIM IF HE THOUGHT HE DID GOOD JOB HE SAID IT WASNT HIS BEST WORK TRIED TO HAVE HIM CALL HIS SUPERVISOR HE SAID THEIR WASNT ANYONE SAID IS THERE A OWNER HE SAID AHH NOT REALLY ASKED WELL WHOSE YOUR CONTACT HE SAID ( BRETT) SAID GET ON THE PHONE YOUR DONE PACK YOUR THINGS AND LEAVE NOW MIND YOU THIS IS A CONTRACTOR THAT ( FIRST AMERICAN HOME WARRANTY) RECOMMENDED FIRST HOME WARRANTY COMPLETELY DISREGARDED MY CONCERNS AND COMPLAINTS THEREFORE CANCELED THEM ALSO IVE BEEN WITH OUT AIR CONDITIONING SINCE JUNE BEWARE OF THIS CONTRACTOR (McAtee) DISGUSTING PEOPLE SKILLS AND INSTALL SKILLS

The initial service went poorly. What I will say is Chris Haynes the owner expected that the people he hired would do as he expected. Not only did they let me down, but they let him down as well. Initially I was very angry with the way things went. Then I realized that it wasn't him or his decisions that left me holding the bag but his insurance company that left us holding the bag. In addition, he took it upon himself to come out of his pocket for something his insurance should have paid for as he did accept responsibility immediately. I have so much respect for his ethics in spite of one bad employee. I would recommend his company for another job not based on my service but on the ethics of the owner and him being an upstanding man. As for the employee that caused the issues for both him and me, I'm sure without a doubt he is either no longer an employee or has gone through extensive retraining. I have more respect for Mr Haynes and how he conducted himself and made changes than ever before. He was placed in an impossible situation and conducted himself appropriately. I find no fault in him.

I don't normally wrote reviews, but after i was apprehensive after reading some of these reviews i needed to put my two cents in. The reviews scared me but i had no choice due to my home warranty company picking the providers, from the beginning i got all my questions answered good communication from the start, joe came to look at my heat pump and he worked for an hour n a half replacing part after part, to no fault of his own had to order a part and leave without it being fixed. But he explained everything and assured me it could be fixed. Overall it was a great experience and communication is key which was top notch.

The presentation was very fooling. They sent out a man named Aaron to do the initial work. It took several hours and water was leaking during the repair. I was told it was residual water. Once he said the work was completed, he forgot to run water through the pipes to check for leaks. Once I ran water, I discovered a major leak. They sent another worker named Carl who reran the lines Aaron ran because there was stress fractures because the lines were too tight. He was out here for 4 hours but didn't have the tools to complete the job. I was told Aaron had to return. Upon return he accepted no culpability and said his mistake was not a covered service and left. I have been without a bathroom for 7 days trying to get them to make this right. As of yet that hasn't happened. It's a shame that such a service can't be performed without additional cost to the consumer that the contractor should incur. I am now tasked with either performing the job myself or finding another plumber willing to touch what they screwed up. I should add that they have been out 5 times for the same issue. Four times within a 7 day period to no avail.

Once the crew arrived on scene it went exceptionally well. They were polite, courteous, efficient and professional in locating and repairing the leak. The issue I had was in getting someone out to perform the work. It took over two weeks and better than 25,000 wasted gallons of water before the leak was fixed. This firm was selected and compensated by my warranty company, otherwise I probably would have hired another company after the first week of waiting.

The plumber came on a Sunday (we requested this knowing it was $125 service call plus work done) and got everything completed efficiently and cleanly.

Chris did provided an initial email estimate (later than he had indicated) and I sat on it for a week as I had several bids under review. I chose McAtee and then it all feel apart. Chris was out of town for a week, Chris had dispatch problems, Chris could not manage to put me on the schedule and give me a date. I could never get a detailed written cost/estimate period. During this time I texted, emailed and left voice mails. Occasionally Chris would provide a carrot that he was trying to get something done. I finally decided that he didn't want the work and was just stringing me along so here is his company's just desserts. An "F" and "F*"! Horrible service, horrible experience.

I contacted McAtee Plumbing Heating & Air to see if they were interested in providing a quote on a new house I was building. I was told that I need to speak with Frank Folio. I spoke was Frank and he said he was definitely interested in providing a quote for the plumbing & HVAC work. He asked me to send him the plans for the house. I did so, and unfortunately I typed his e-mail address incorrectly. I followed up with Frank when I hadn't heard from him and he gave me the correct e-mail address. I sent the plans over to him. After two weeks of waiting to hear from him, I follow up. Once again he stated he did not receive an e-mail from him. I explained to him that I did not mean to question his word, but I now have software that tells me when my e-mails are opened. Well, all of a sudden he found my e-mail. He told me he would review everything and provide me a quote by Friday. When I didn't get the quote on Friday, I called Frank on Monday. He was very short with me and said that he had the information in his office, but he was out of state and would not be back until Thursday. He said he would get back to me then. It is now Sunday, and I still haven't heard from him.

PLEASE READ..!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT DAWN AT THIS OFFICE TELLS YOU..!!!! I usually don't or ever write bad reviews but in this case I commit myself to do so. The most horrible service I ever had.!!! I was in the process relocating my business & needing plumbing done. I got 4 bids and I end up with McAtee. Jason the tech came down and gave me a reasonable estimate. I decided to work with them. Dawn whom works at McAtee told me that Jason (plumber) will come out and do the work for me on Tues. Mon. the day before the work got a call from Dawn saying it's an emergency and we need Jason on Tues. ( Was a little disappointing but ok). Then Tues. got a call from Dawn again saying they (McAtee) needs Jason on Tues. & that Wed will be for sure. (ok, at this point I'm kind a nervous because I need my shop to be open)?Wed. morning Dawn calls again, now she's being ridiculous saying that "I promise you Jason will be yours all day Thursday & Friday"?I told her it is what it is but I'm not happy about it. So, Thurs. late morning got a call from Dawn?.now she says Jason is no longer with the company?she says"Work with me & I'll try to get you another plumber by next week." Well, end of the day no phone calls what so ever. Bottom line this company wasted my time and I would respect it if they told me earlier so I could move on to another plumber company. luckily last minute I found an amazing plumber that respect my time and have the decency to be upfront if he couldn't do something. Just be honest and stop THE B********.! I will tell everyone I know about my experience with this company. I am a member of Angies' list, google,yelp,etc?.This is my 1st bad review ever. Read my yelp I always try to support local and small business. But not this one?Horrible..I don't know how they stay in business.

Everything was excellent. They were here from 11-7:30 and they didn't quit until it was done. They were a very hard working crew.

our toilet was clogged and we needed it fixed right away. the technician was very thorough, explaining everything that he was doing, and eventually discovered that the jets in our current toilet had rusted almost completely through and that we needed a new toilet. He told us - in order to save money - for us to go to a home improvement store and purchase a toilet - that it would be cheaper that way than for him to get one from his company and then install it. He was honest enough to give us that option. Our tech was very professional as well.

Since we moved to Columbus last year, we have used McAtee Plumbing at least 6 times. Today's experience, however, will prevent me from ever using them again. Our MB shower drain needed cleared (as it does every year due to my long hair), and we were charged $200 for the 20 minute job. I was shocked at the price increase. 1 year ago (on 12/13/13) we were charged $95 for cleaning 2 drains (the same bathroom as today, plus the hallway shower drain). When I expressed my disbelief to the technician, he stated that there was a "price increase" in September. I do understand that businesses must increase prices, but an 110% price increase seems a bit excessive--especially since we were not told of this massive increase when we called to make our appointment. While the technician was here, I called the office and spoke with Abby. She simply said it was a management decision to increase prices and the best she could do was talk to a manager and call me right back. I did tell her that since I felt completely blindsided, this would prevent me from using McAtee in the future. She never called. The fact that I am a repeat customer, the job was clear cut, and they offered nothing to help rectify the situation leaves me no choice but to find a new plumber. The "F" scores I have listed refer to the management and not the people I have been in contact with. Abby has always been pleasant and courteous on the phone. Even today, she clearly knew I was upset and said she would talk to the manager. I am very surprised she never called back. The various technicians who have been to my home over the last 12 months have always been friendly and knowledgeable. Someone in charge clearly dropped the ball on this one.

Nothing came. We called. The person who took our call said they had no email address for us (but had our phone number). Finally gave us a gross number and said they send us the breakdown. That was over 2 weeks ago. Guess they are too busy. ************************ Chris - nice apology, We still have not received your written estimate, nor has anyone called us. Our realtor, who referred us to you, also called your office, to no avail. ************************ And, I am reminded that this company CHARGED US $75 for the estimate!! Would like to see that back. We have since hired another Angie's List company, who has done the work for less than 2/3 of the verbal estimate. That's a chunk of change.

Perfect. The tech was on time and very professional. He was so friendly, and even replaced the mainline cap at no charge. I was very impressed with the technician and the company overall. I have used other companies in the past for this service and the difference is unbelieveable. I will definitely use McAtee anytime I have a plumbing or mainline problem in the future.

Sam McCoy came out within an hour after I called. Checked out what I needed done and told me the cost. He had a man come out first thing the next morning and completed the job in less than 30 minutes. They were very thorough and explained everything in detail. I will definitely keep their number in my phone book for any future work I may need done and will recommend them to others. Excellent job.

I am not sure about prices for other plumbers, but I was originally going to be charged $325 before I asked about the 10% Angie's discount that was listed by the company. Originally, there was a mix-up in scheduling. The worker was knowledgeable, quick and accurate in his work. Thank you.

The plumber who was sent to my house was great. He was professional, on time, and communicated all issues and resolutions to me. I will use McAtee for all future plumbing needs.

Very friendly and knowledgeable. completed the work quickly and paid attention to detail.

The plumber came and replaced our dripping faucet with a new one we had purchased. Wish I could have taken the new one down off the wall at Home Depot to really see how small it was. Can I complain here about Home Depot? Everything is fine with the kitchen sink.

I only put a B in professionalism because of the first plumber. I can't remember his name, so I have to say "he." He came and looked it over and said we needed a new cartridge. He went out and got a tub faucet trim kit. He had to drill for a couple hours (!) to get the old one off because the old screw was stripped. Then he put on the new one. When finished, he called me in to look at it. The plate was not flush with the shower wall. He told me that the new one didn't fit correctly because the previous plumber who installed the tub insert had only made the hole big enough for what he put in. I told him it couldn't stay the way it was and to put the old plate back on, which he did. When he finished, he cleaned up all the mess from the drilling and he left a little hexagonal tool that we could use to tighten the handle, "if it comes loose." I should have told him I want the new one put in correctly, no matter what it took, but I didn't. A few weeks later the handle was loose and we couldn't tighten it. I called McAtee and told them the story. They apologized and told me that they would send someone out right away. I asked if it would be the same plumber and they told he was no longer with the company. They came and fixed the problem. No charge of course. We began using McAtee after they fixed problems with our sewer line as then covered under Columbia Service Partners insurance. They had to dig up part of our front yard to replace sewer pipe and we were very satisfied with the company. They are very nice and responsive.

The price was good but the service man was all ways in a rush. Overall quality of work poor (exterior holes not filled in with gray bar & holes left untapped in plenum). The one unit the central air unit was installed properly and functioning. He bed to much freon out of a precharged unti and greased the back oh the house in doing so. I had a notther company come out and corect the problem because I did not want him back on my property. Lastly the AC business seems to be a side light of their main business because every time I contacted them their was only one service man for West Virginia to Columbus OH and he was based out of WV.

Maintenance on furnace. Replaced sump pump.

They were nice and did a good job. We are pleased.
