I found the price to be steep for very basic (one hour) interior design suggestions. That said, he’s a nice guy and I imagine he’s done good work for others. Also felt he tried to maximize the fee by doing research I didn’t ask for.

Chris is very nice and hardworking. If you want someone to come to your house and impose his design tastes on you, he will work hard to do that. For us, we wanted him to work with our tastes. When he showed up, he made it clear he wanted to change everything in the house. We made it clear to him the scope of the project. Despite this, he spent billable time redesigning our house and things outside of the scope of what we asked him to do. He even drew out an addition to our house. Instead of working with what we had wanted, he ignored our style and proposed items and a look "English hunting lodge" which ignored our instructions and style. When we pointed this out to him, he blamed us by saying he didn't get a chance to really understand our tastes. He never explained why he went to work picking stuff out and spending quite a bit of our money on his fees, if he didn't feel like he knew our style yet. If you are looking for someone to design a room out of a magazine, he is your guy. If you want someone to actually work with you, look elsewhere.

Our budget was limited for this service and he truly helped us maximize his time and pick a great color for the room. He made some suggestions for furniture to place in the room, offered ideas for where to shop (since this was something we wanted to do ourselves), and also offered suggestions about other rooms of the house as he was trying to get a sense of our style and the pieces we already had to work with. We will definitely work with him again as we move to other rooms of our house.

SO FAR IT'S BEEN JUST CONSULTING, HE REALLY HAS A GIFT FOR USING WHAT YOU HAVE, THERE IS NO PRESSURE TO BUY SOMETHING NEW. HE IS VERY CREATIVE AND DETAILED ORIENTED. I THINK HE IS A BARGAIN, HE IS $125 AN HOUR.

MADE A VERY BIG DIFFERENCE IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. MADE A FEW CHANGES IN INTERIOR, PROVIDED EXCELLENT ADVICE REGARDING PURCHASE OF FURNITURE AND USE OF ROOMS.
