I am very happy with my dining room. They did two coats in three hours with a small break in between coats. They cleaned up very well after themselves and got the job done very efficiently. As I looked over their work as they were loading up their vehicle I noticed one spot that didn't get covered properly. I mentioned this to one of the men and he fixed it immediately and without hesitation. I would definitely be willing to try this company again for other services based on this experience. Update... As I was cleaning my dining room up I now feel a bit less satisfied. Some of my outlets had paint on them and I was easily able to clean that up but I am quite distressed about my window sills. One of them in particular is just covered in blue speckles. I can not get the blue off the white woodwork on my windows. It really looks bad... like the window sills are dirty all the time. I am changing my grade to a D based on this. Very disappointing and distressing. Had they cleaned this up right away I am quite certain I would not be stuck with two window sills that have blue speckles all over them.

I had to wait a couple of weeks to get on the schedule, but once they started, they worked very steadily at my house. They did excellent, thorough, tidy work on absolutely everything I asked for. I wound up having a lot more done than I had originally asked for, simply because Brian asked me whether I wanted some things done that I hadn't realized they could do. As Brian kept telling me, they do everything! I have not evaluated them above on price just because I did not get any estimates from other companies for comparison. I have to say, my house looked bad with so many things that needed to be done. I had not taken care of things for so long after lengthy illnesses and deaths in the family and my husband's serious injury in an accident. Brian was nonjudgmental and kind, offering to do additional work that he could see needed to be done but always in a helpful, not a pushy, way. I no longer have any reason to be ashamed of my house--it looks great! I liked Brian and the two people who work with him, Jeff and Scotty; all three were very easy to get along with and friendly. I will happily recommend Make a List to everyone who asks, and I already have plans to have them come back to my house in the spring for additional jobs.

I initially contacted Brian via phone on September 5th. He was very friendly and courteous. He was driving though, so he asked if I could email him. I did and received an email response that night saying that he would try to call back the next day. By September 12th, we still had not heard anything. I sent another email and received a response on the 13th saying that he would be in touch soon. I never heard from him again. I'm sure that he was busy, but letting me know that upfront would have been helpful. I wasted several days trying set things up with him because I wanted to use his company.

They were punctual and concerned about doing the job right. Their clean up was great. They were also respectful of my property.

At our initial visit with Brian, the owner, we discussed the project scope and schedule. He took measurements and we provided him with the drawings. We were anxious to get started and they were able to fit us into their schedule, so we moved forward. Work was scheduled to begin on a Friday, but was delayed until Monday. And, since we had floor refinishing scheduled on the heels of this work, timing was important. The following week, with Brian out of town on vacation, work came to a stop. With the flooring people coming, we left messages for Brian to see if we could get the work finished up in time. He returned our calls on a Saturday and got someone out to wrap up the first phase of work prior to the flooring people coming out. Seems there was a miscommunication between him and his crew regarding the timing. We had Brian review the doors we were ordering when we purchased them, to be sure they were correct for the job. Because the home construction didn't have standard wall thickness (older home), the jams on the doors we ordered had to be cut down, which we were charged for above the initial quote. Installing the doors proved to be more difficult than originally thought and they actually damaged one of the units while installing it. But, they repaired it satisfactorily. Overall, we're pleased with the results but the process was a little rough. The drywall work looks really good. But, I think maybe the scope of the project was a little ambitious. Coordinating the many moving pieces and fitting it into their existing schedule may have been outside their wheelhouse.

They came in to do an estimate. After they looked at my property they were supposed to call back with an estimate. Did not receive a call back for several days so I called them. When I called he said that he could for sure get the job, but he had been busy. Its been a week since then and I have never heard back. If there not going to do the job they should have just told me. I would be willing to give them a second chance if they would take care of the job and be honest.

Brian was great to work with and very friendly. He stayed within his quote and did the job professionally. We would recommend him in the future.

I contacted Make a List HMS by email through Angie's List response box. Brian responded the same day and followed up with a phone call to set up appointment. He arrived on the agreed to appointment date and time and reviewed my split rail fence problems. He presented possible fixes and prepared an estimate for repairs I agreed to. After I approved the estimate, we agreed to a target repair date. Because of many circumstances the work was completed several weeks after the original target date. Brian kept us informed of the project delays. After materials were available, work date was scheduled. On the agreed to date, two of Brian's team arrived at 9am and went right to work. They were professional - they confirmed with me what they planned to do, did the work and cleaned up after they were done. I would recommend Make a List to others and would consider them for other repair projects at my home.

The person that did the work was honest. He was punctual and personable. He did everything that he said he will do. He finished it when he said he was going to do. If he had to come back for anything, he kept us informed. The work he did itself was above and beyond. It is hard to explain but we had bricks which were coming out. His brick layers came up with an idea to do it and it turned out to be much more attractive. I think the bricks are never going to separate again. My house looks beautiful now.

The work progressed every day for three or four days. He cleaned up the room each evening. He purchased the needed items and we didn't have to do anything. He worked quietly each day and cleaned up the room after he finished. He is easy to work with because he has a nice personality.
