After three years need to get stairs, sitting wall repaired or re-done. Was told by other contractors this past week that MG did not do work properly.

After three years since the project was completed I'm now getting prices to redue the work that was done. My paver stairs were not done correctly and not to code after 3 other companies have recently reviewed. Stairs are sinking, gapping and loose. Sitting walks stones are loose and moving. Patio is starting to get low spots.

John came out to perform an estimate and seemed very knowledgable. We were told he would email us the hard numbers that evening and it actually took several days. We emailed back and forth questions a couple times; his response was slow but this was not a big deal for us. We were told it would be at least two weeks before our project could start (defined at the time as "end of the month") due to rain preventing the sod from being cut, so we waited. Three weeks later we called to see when work would begin, to which he said he would be out that day to begin treating our weeds. He never showed. It is two weeks later and still no communication. Our last email was never returned. If something cannot be completed (or even started) within a quoted time frame, just be honest and upfront and we will understand. This behavior of no-shows and non-response is incredibly unprofessional. What I find most upsetting is that six weeks in total have been wasted while we waited on John. Now as we scramble to find a reputable landscaper to perform the work we keep getting the same response: everyone is booked up for several weeks due to it being "peak season." It's really disappointing because although we did not look up his reviews in advance, he seemed like a very knowledgable, professional, and kind person at the time we met. We should have known better. We scheduled our vacation time to line up with dates John provided us, now we are screwed.
