Fantastic Job! They were concerned and careful regarding placement of plants. Very knowledgeable regarding each particular plant. They took my thoughts about placement and suggested, because of the plants needs, where it might be placed better. I will be using them again.

I used landscaping last year and the name of the company I used was M & I Landscapes. I think I found them on Angie's List. I think they are great. They did a good job. I would grade them an 'A' all around. I was actually thinking of calling them some time soon.

The work was good. The only issue I had with them is when they did some of the trimming around some of the mulch beds, they left piles of trimmings in the very back of my yard. They did not do a very good job of cleaning up but other than that, everything was satisfactory. They were punctual. They let us know when they were coming. They did a good job. Their price was a little bit higher than the couple of other people I had quotes with but we kind of liked some of the stuff he told us--his approach and different things so that was why we went with him. I got a letter from him over the summer and I guess he sold his business to somebody else and he will be off to do other things and we will be looking for somebody else for next spring. If we had to do it again and he was in business, I would get a couple of quotes but he would probably be the leading one.

I have been using them since late 90s. That service was good. My lawn yard looks great. They work great. I never got any spots and I believe not anything on the driveway. They just have been doing a pretty good job and I haven't bothered getting an estimate.

Anthony, the owner, is very professional and easy to get along with. He wants to make you a happy customer. We've been living in our home for 2 years, the people before us for 4 years, and before that there was a man who had showcase gardens along the sides and rear of our property. Well in those 6 years, the gardens have overgrown and were taking over. They took up half of our 0.25 acre lot. Our main goal was to have it all ripped out, grass planted, and a privacy tree line along the back. And that's what we got in the end. There were some bumps along the way, like the bobcat breaking down, which delayed our start date. The nursery not having 20 trees that looked healthy enough, which slowed down the project. And the arborist's grinder breaking down. All of this was out of Anthony's control, and we completely understood that, even thought it was still a little frustrating. One of the main employee's, Chris, was great as well. Always keeping us informed on the day's progress. The only thing we've had to do is lay down some more grass seed where it has been coming in kind of thin. We had two other landscape companies come out for estimates and Anthony had the best and we are very happy we had it done.

The service went as expected. However, we had to call them to get the final plan delivered.

We had a brick patio that was beyond saving and causing water issues in the basement. We wanted the patio removed and then to have the groung graded away from the house, and reseeded, to help alleviate the water intrusion. We also had a large patch of english Ivy that we wanted them to rip out and re seed with grass in the back yard. There were also a few stumps we wanted removed. In the front yard we asked that they remove a sizable underground stump, regrade and reseed a large patch, and fill in any bare spots. Originally we wanted the entire lawn started from scratch but we couldn't afford it. Anthony was our main point of contact and came out to the house to discuss our expectations and needs for the project. He worked with us and our budget to find a way to address our biggest goals. Anthony is a great guy and seems very honest. After meeting with him I felt great about moving forward with M&I. The whole project took 2 days, at first. I say this because they had to come back to address some issues. The results were less than we had hoped. The crew missed a couple of stumps and tried to cover them with dirt the first time. I called Anthony and he had them come back and remove them later. They underestimated the amount of topsoil and Anthony called for approval of $700 more. I agreed because costs like this come up on projects and I appreciated being kept in the loop. However the "topsoil" they used for the second round was more like fill dirt and was littered with 2-5" rocks. The large stump in the front was never removed, even though he had a crew of two guys come back a week later with a grinder. The crew was nice enough but they dumped all the topsoil on top of my kids plastic playset. I had no I dea they they were even going to dump all the soil on my concrete driveway, which their dumptruck cracked and they had to repair. If I hadn't stopped home they would have broken it with their bobcat. Then to "clean up" the soil on the drive way they broke out their back pack leafblowers. They tried to just blow it all into my neighbors lawn, on which their dumptruck also drove and left ruts and they later tried to fix. That same week I saw Oakland Nursuries doing a job for a neighbor and they kept all the topsoil on a truck in the street. In the end they did more, for less money, than the next closest bid to just remove the patio. Anthony did try to correct the shortcomings in execution but I still felt like he was cutting his losses instead of trying to create a lifelong customer. Update: 4/11/2104 After digging up an area of my lawn to access a blocked storm drain I discovered portions of the brick Patio that I paid M&I to remove last summer. Instead they just covered it up with topsoil. What a scam. Beware of this company. Anthony talks a good game but will pull the wool over your eyes for a dollar. If I could add pictures I would.

I have been using them for like ten years. I have two acres of grass and for a whole year of fertilization and the week barrier it costs $1,500. I chose to use them because I used them for my old house too. They used to do lawn mowing, but they dropped that. So, I just use them for the fertilization. They are really reliable and the best part is they never bug me. I never had any problem. They never damaged any property, and the weeding and fertilizing has always been effective.

They come out and fix our lawn. If were not home, they will perform services and leave a note on the door. They are fantastic. The owner is a true gentleman.

Also used them for winter-ready entire lawn for $300.00. fantastic work, will absolutely call on them again.

the crew worked hard. they removed one large rock from my garden, but left it in my lawn. now it is a problem for my mowing crew, and the rock is way too heavy for me to move. they removed some stone from my driveway. it appeared that they spilled mulch in the driveway, then took the mulch with stone from my driveway and dumped it in several spots in the woods next to my house.

It was 50/50. The landscaping that they did was very good. The reason why I bought the deal was they were supposed to give me a drawing of a backyard refurbish, which I had never received. We've connected four or five times and they guy said he would be here, and he has the drawings, but nothing happened and I just gave up. He was supposed to come out, look at the yard, take some measurements and give me a design drawing. But that never happened. One or two different guys came out and we talked and then he said he doesn't really do the drawings and that another guy would come out. He called me on the phone and I don't know if he actually visited the house and saw the back yard, but I never received the drawings. And right now my work is really busy and I just don't have the time to check that out. The work they did was good, but what I really was after, was that drawing.

Anthony Mampieri, the President of M&I, came out twice to review and revise plans and quote. On both occasions he was prompt and very professional. He and his crew arrived on time on the day of the planting and walked through the plans to ensure all plants were placed correctly. The crew worked quickly and efficiently, and were very polite and professional. The plants were watered and all areas were raked and sidewalks were swept before they left. They even pruned some existing shrubs at no charge. I would highly recommend their services and will be using them again in the spring.

Difficulty in scheduling appointment. Finally had appointment and promised plans in two to three weeks. Didn't hear back from company for approx. six weeks. Owner made contact and apologized for lateness. Was very friendly and explained company was behind due to designers birth of child. Came to home and discussed changes to design and promised information on material being used for hardscape. We were excited about the discussion and stated we'd like to start work in the fall. The promised material was never sent in the mail or any other contact. Finally received an email 6 weeks later with excuses and apology. I responded with email that I was glad he contacted me, but concerned that I was forgotten. No response. Received a phone call about a week ago suggesting that the designer is back at her job and suggest she come back to our home to discuss the changes we discussed with the owner. Although I was excited about the plans, I can't use or recommend this company due to their punctuality and lack follow through.

It was a difficult install because of our location (wooded area, clay and shale dirt) as well as the July rains. The install started as the rains hit and made the ground extremely wet. We had to have an extra load of topsoil brought in and, even then, the crew had a difficult time getting work done because of the weather. But, they were very persistent and patient. The crew had to take up about half a dozen perennials that I had put in last summer. They then used a skid steer to level off the area. The new plants and transplants went in and a pea gravel path installed. The crew also made 3 raised beds from recycled treated wood for annuals and herbs. They finished off with some mulch. I am very pleased with the final results. I want to thank Nicole for the beautiful design and Anthony for his help. I also want to thank the crew - Jake, Morgan and Nate for their patience and hard work. It was not easy for them! There were also a couple of other crew members that helped whose names I didn't get. Thank you all! I am very pleased with the results and plan to have M&I Landscapes do more work in the future.

I had the company out for the service, the lady that came out was great. She was very professional and polite. She gave me a quote, I had a great experience with her and this company.

Very professional. the job was done when they said it would be. I have e-mailed them with a couple questions afterwards and they responded right away.

Nicole (designer) provided a wonderful design - lots of color just like I asked. Jake and crew showed up on time and worked hard all day. They installed all plants, pathways and mulch - and were very willing to make slight changes to the design as we went. They also planted my tomato plants - thanks John! Would definitely recommend M & I Landscapes and will use them again in the future.

I haven’t decided to use them yet but I was really pleased with them. They quoted me $5000. Anthony was great, he came out and met with me in the yard and was extremely knowledgeable. He gave me some tips on what I could to improve the lawn even if I didn’t use them. He responsively emailed and returned calls quickly, so I am pretty happy with him. I plan to use him in the future but not right at this moment just because he said it wasn’t the right time to seed and get the landscape changes I wanted done.

They came out and met with us, took our ideas, we gave them ours. They took a ton of pictures and measurements and came back to us with plans, we made a few tweeks. We set up and date and they came out. They finished in one day, and it was so clean, it was like they were never there.

Everything went very smoothly. Initially, in late March, Nicole, the landscape designer, gave me a complete plan for a small stone wall and new landscaping in the front of the house plus the additional bushes, topsoil, and reseeding of the backyard. She also included an estimate of the cost for the plants and for doing all of the work. Nicole carefully selected plants that she thought would work well for my sunny frontyard and shady backyard. I liked her plan and decided to go with it. The actual work of removing my old overgrown plants in the frontyard, building the stone wall, and installing the new plants occurred on 5/9/2013. About four or five men worked on it all day and were able to complete the work in a day. All were polite and professional. John, the head of the landscaping crew, was very patient in answering my questions as the work was going on. The crew did a great job of working around the front yard plants that I was keeping without injuring them as they removed the old overgrown plants and installed the stone wall, new plants, and mulch. They took away the old plants and did a very good job of cleaning up afterwards. The new landscaping looks great! The price was expensive, but I consider it reasonable for what I received -- a complete make-over of my front landscaping plus some work in the backyard as well. The new plants were of good quality, and the service was thorough, professional, and excellent. I was also impressed that someone from the company called me the next day to make sure everything had gone all right and to ask if I had any questions. A sheet providing instructions on caring for the new plants was also included with the mailed invoice. I had a very good experience with this company.

After several attempts at scheduling an appointment for someone to come out to take measurements, someone did come out,. But that day, it rained, so I had a conversation with the agent to see what I wanted, and they were to return the following week, to take measurements, and send me the landscape ideas. That never happened, and it has been almost a month ago.

The M&I team did a great job installing my landscaping and the colors and plants look fantastic. I am using them again to do more work.

They worked with me through email and phone and were very prompt and professional.
