They took out our old countertop and installed fabricated granite tops. They are beautiful. There was a miscommunication at the beginning but it got resolved fairly quickly. The installers were very nice and personable.

Overall it went very well. The hardest part was choosing the sink and faucets to go with the countertops. I did the tear out of the old laminate countertop and faucet and they did the rest. There were no unexpected surprises and no installation problems. Courtney was fabulous helping my wife and would email pictures of the granite to us at home so we could decide on color. She was very polite and friendly. Vince was very helpful on how to tear out the old countertop and had some very helpful suggestions for the kitchen to enhance the granite look.
Description of Work: Had kitchen countertop and bathroom countertops replaced. The experience was superb. Courtney and Vince were very informative and extremely helpful during the process. They both spent a great deal of time showing us the granite slabs to choose from and were very patient as my wife changed her mind more than once. It took less than 2 weeks to get the job done which was a total of 28 square feet of granite. I have recommended them to several people already and will use them again for the other bathroom. They made you feel like you were the most important customer they had. the installers were prompt and very professional. truly a great experience and quality company. I called another company and they did not even return my call.

About a year ago, I went to Lind Stoneworks with drawings and dimensions, discussed various granite options with them and asked for a quote on granite as well as laminate. All the information was written down with a promise of sending a quote. They never sent the quote or called with it. Due to other things, we temporarily sidelined the project but a little over a month ago we began contacting granite contractors again. I wasn't going to call Lind this time but saw the good ratings so I thought I'd try again. I called but had to leave a voicemail message. I was careful to speak clearly and leave my name and phone number and I asked if someone could call me to discuss a granite kitchen counter. It's been over a month and no one's called back. I wasn't going to call back in a week and follow up because if a contractor was forcing me to follow up at the very start, it suggested the tone of what could come and I wasn't interested in working with someone that I had to constantly check on. Obviously we've gone with someone else.

I used Angie’s List to locate a granite professional who could repair a sink that had separated from my kitchen granite. I selected Lind Stoneworks. Following an initial telephone call, Vince Lind visited my home to survey the job. To my surprise, Mr. Lind found that he had the materials with him to complete the repair during his visit. He was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and skilled. In addition, he shared information about his repair method and granite care that increased my knowledge in future maintenance. His repair work assures me that I will not have the same problem in the future! I will definitely use Lind Stoneworks in the future.

We are very happy with our new countertops. If we have future granite projects, we will definitely call Jim Lind. His prices are reasonable and his company provides great quality work.
Description of Work: We love our new granite countertops and have received many compliments! Since we have a modest size kitchen, Mr. Lind was able to help us find a beautiful remanent piece in his yard. He was very patient and informative throughout the entire process. Jim Lind and his 2 guys did an outstanding job! The plumbing was more challenging than Jim originally estimated. However, he went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right. If we know of anyone looking to get new countertops, we will definitely recommend Lind Stoneworks!

The whole process was excellent. I went to Lind to inquire about getting granite countertops in my kitchen. Courtney explained the process and sent me to two granite suppliers. Both were very good, but I was particularly impressed with Stone Mart. They walked me through the warehouse and explained the difference between some of the stones. In addition, when I went back to make my final decision, they were more than willing to move some of the stones around so I could see some that were hidden. After choosing several different patterns, Lind sent me a very competitive bid. Jason came out to measure the counters, and he was helpful and willing to take the time to explain several things to me. The installation went well, but there were several problems with the old plumbing under my sink. Mr. Lind stayed until everything was finished, including going out to purchase a disposal for me when we found a crack in my present disposal. Everyone was very professional and helpful during the entire process. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He kept apologizing for taking so long to install the sink, but I was just grateful that he was willing to see the job was done completely and correctly.

It was a very good experience. A great company to work with.
Description of Work: Went to their offices on Technology Drive for initial appointment. They sent me to 3 granite suppliers to select possible slabs for use in my kitchen. Set an appointment for measuring the space. After the space had been measured and my possible granite selections were made they returned the estimate within 1 day. I was able to pick an installation date in less than a week's time after putting down my deposit. They arrived on time for every appointment, were very professional, and completed the job to my satisfaction--the countertops and new sink/faucet look great. The cost included 47/48 sq feet of a mid-priced granite, a new large-deep bowl, stainless steel sink, a new faucet, and a lazy susan made from the sink cut out.

The whole experience went very well! It took me a month or 2 to figure out what granite I wanted (they are all SO beautiful!)and from which company. I started this process in January with lots of snow on the ground, which made looking at slabs in granite yards a bit challenging. Lind was the first one I went to because they are near my Jazzercise center. I checked several other companies and went back to Lind. I liked the people there and they were very patient with my indecision and questions. I'd never been through this before and originally thought I wanted a glass vessel sink, but after looking at them and the size of my counter, I decided I would go with an undermount sink. I also thought I wanted the rough, chiseled edge, but they cautioned me about it because it snags clothing and is an expensive edge treatment. They worked with me on what part of the slab I wanted based on the colors and patterns and how I wanted it installed. They reassured me about the position of the faucet relative to the water arc coming out of the faucet. I wanted to make sure there was enough space to wash your hands. Even though my job was very small, they didn't treat it as such. I was as important to them as someone who was doing their whole kitchen, bathrooms and basement bar in granite!
Description of Work: After selecting the granite at their location and paying the deposit, one of their employees came out and did final measurements of the space for cutting granite and backsplash pieces to size with proper edge, sink and faucet holes. I showed him the faucet I'd purchased and gave him the paperwork from the package so they could cut the faucet hole to specs. Sink hole was polished. ( I asked if I could have the piece of granite that they cut out for the sink, since I'd paid for it in the whole slab and they brought it with them on installation day.) Sink was mounted to underside of granite slab. Day of installation, turned off water, disconnected faucet and sink drain, removed existing counter material and faucet. Due to the tight fit of the vanity in a 30" wide slot, the 2 men had a hard time both fitting in the space to remove the counter, as well as just being able to remove the counter. They decided they'd have to break it up to get it out and did so with no real damage to the surrounding walls. Impressive! Installed granite counter w/sink attached and backsplash pieces. Installed faucet. Had to modify waterline connection to make proper connection with new faucet lines. Turned water back on, tested water connection for leaks, caulked all seams between counter and backsplash pieces, as well as where granite met walls. Cleaned sink and counter and removed debris in cabinet beneath. They were very efficient and fast. The whole thing took just a couple of hours. They hauled away old materials. I am very pleased with my new granite counter, undermount sink and single handle faucet.

I read very good reviews about them. They had done a lot of projects and were rated highly. That's why I called them. They were very professional and very quick to respond. I felt like they had a lot of experience and knew what they were doing. The estimate was for $5900. They were excellent. I am very much interested in them, and would probably use them.

As part of my living room remodel I wanted to convert my old Clintonville quasi-fireplace to a vent-free gas log with marble surround and new mantelpiece. Jim at Lind Stoneworks was more than willing to work with me on my project, reviewing my measurements carefully, then taking me down to the shop to look at the marble, even sending me home with a scrap piece. When I called back to schedule, Jimmy (different man) came out to my house to discuss the project and double-check my measurements; they then contacted me the next day to schedule the work and were able to come out the next week. The two installers were very communicative and listened carefully to my questions, concerns and input and then did an excellent job laying the new hearth and attaching the facing pieces. Excellent finish details and cleanup as well. Great company to work with!

They were the best of the best, I would recommend them. The guy was very personable. He owns the company and he walked us through the way you would pay a third party as a design consult to do and that was really awesome of him. Then to boot, he gave us another 5% off because it was in one of his fliers and we didn't even know about it. He liked that we took such an interest in the project and went to show room twice so he sealed it for us for free. He actually met us after hours.

The overall experience was great! Good price on a great product that was finished when it was supposed to! We are going to remodel our kitchen next and we will go back to Lind's for sure!
Description of Work: We remodeled our master bath. We obtained estimates from at least two companies in each category, i.e., tile, countertops, shower doors, etc.. We joined Angie's list and started comparing. We went to Lind Stoneworks which also happened to be the closest where Jim Lind walked us through their showroom/warehouse. He explained the pros and cons of granite, quartz, etc. He was very patient while we selected a color from both and then emailed an estimate by Monday, which was the next business day. His price included the sink and faucet cutouts. The installation of the undercounter sinks and installation of the quartz countertop. His price was about $500.00 less than competitors!

All work was done on a timely basis by professional highly experienced employees. The granite fabrication and seam work was done by what I can only described as artisans. The granite we selected had more "movement" than most and the matching of pieces exceeded our expectations. Jim Lind was a pleasure. He spent time answering all our questions and addressing all our concerns. He gave us final approval on the templates and let us select which section of granite would be fabricated for the countertops, island and peninsula. I think what speaks highly for his honesty and integrity, upon completion of the job, and even after taking the 5 percent Angie's List customer discount, he reduced the balance due by $150 for labor costs that were less intensive than first estimated. My wife and I were so impressed by the experience, we contracted work for our guest bath already and now are in the midst of having Lind Stoneworks do our bath counter top, sinks and faucets in the master bedroom.

This is our second purchase of granite countertops within 8 months (2 different houses). The first countertops were purchased from Salazzo Marble & Granite. Lind Stone Works was chosen this time due to price and selection. Prices ultimately were the same as other companies we had checked. The work was done professionally, and we are pleased with the results. The installation was actually ahead of our original scheduled date.

We selected the granite type at their facility after creating a bit of a sketch of our kitchen. They then came and measured the entire kitchen and provided a project cost. We made a few changes but basically did little else. When the granite was ready (and we were ready for the installation) we scheduled a date. They completed removal of all the tile backsplash and the main counter, along with its sink on the first day and didn't leave until the replacement counter was installed and the sink and disposer were functioning. The cooktop and its corresponding surface was left intact. They returned 3 days later with the completed granite backsplash and installed that. On that second day they also removed the cooktop and its countertop and installed the granite. There was some problem with the cooktop installation so the old one was put back in until the problem could be resolved. A week later they completed the rest of the project. The granite work was exceptional and I would strongly recommend using Lind for their granite work.
Description of Work: Lind removed our old kitchen tile countertops and tile backsplash. They also removed an old sink, garbage disposal, faucet and cook top. They manufactured and installed 3 new granite countertops as well as 1 very large full height granite backsplash. The switched out all our outlets for black to match the new countertop and installed a new sink, faucet, garbage disposal and cooktop. The price includes all the labor plus the granite fabrication and the cost of the new sink and faucet. The cooktop, disposal and all new electrical parts were supplied by us.

We were in the process of having a new kitchen faucet installed in our home when we discovered, after having the old faucet removed, that the pre-drilled existing holes in our granite countertop were not large enough for the new faucet. Out of all the companies contacted, Lind was the only one not hesitant to do the job, even though we knew it wasn't a very lucrative opportunity for them. They were out to our house within a few hours and did an incredible job. Because of their customer service, quality and 'no job too small' attitude, I will definitely consider them in the future for our granite needs.

Jim was terrific from start to finish. We were going back and forth on granite vs. quartz but in the end he was able to provide the real granite for the same price. We got a couple of other quotes that were a bit cheaper but Jim's professionalism and knowledge was the reason we decided on his company. We highly recommend Lind Stoneworks and plan to use them again if we have any additional projects.

Very helpful in selecting granite countertops and helped keep me in a price range. Full service (i.e. plumbing and cooktop detach and reattachment) were very nice to have - probably a little more expensive than if you subbed it out separately, but provided peace of mind knowing they were responsible if something went wrong - which it did not. Very professional and prompt when measuring and installing. Overall great experience!
