He was very professional and knowledgeable about what he was doing. I would trust him with any plumbing work! He knew exactly what the problem was from my description and had the part on his truck to fix this within an hour of coming to my house.

The work was done quickly and yet with great care. It will last indefinitely. This is the only plumbing service I will ever use - you could do no better for your home.

+ -1 moreI was in the middle of project to refurbish a utility sink in my basement. Progress was blocked by a washer hose that was rusted solidly to the wall valve. Plan B to unscrew the valve and replace it with new was equally unsuccessful.I called Don in the middle of Friday morning and he was able to visit early afternoon. It took him about 15 minutes to remove the washer hose. He was a refreshing change from the franchises that arrive with price books that often have little relationship to the householder's problem. Don will be first on my list to call next time I need a plumber.

+ 0 moreDon came to give an estimate and found that the vent flu was totally blocked causing CO to build up. 2 other estimates did not discover this. I was presented options and within 1 day the installation was scheduled and completed. The unit was installed in a new location, new lines run and vented properly. I could not be happier and would use Limes Plumbing in a heart beat. The work was great, the cleanup was perfect and the price extremely reasonable.
Description of Work: Limes Plumbing installed a direct vent hot water system and relocated the tank.

+ -1 moreI talked several times with the company on the phone prior to scheduling the service and found them to be very courteous and friendly. An employee showed up on the scheduled day exactly on time; he looked at the problem area and explained in detail all he had to do to make the repair. His work was very efficient and the piping job he did was neater, cleaner, and much more professional looking than the part he cut out! Overall, a good experience and the kind of job that will get a repeat customer should the need arise.
Description of Work: They fixed two leaks in pvc water pipe. They had to saw out a leaky "tee" connection and a valve, and put in a new "tee" and a new valve.

+ -1 moreDon came to the house on very short notice to assess the problem, did some research to confirm that his proposed solution would do the job, and then promptly fixed the problem.
Description of Work: Our basement hot water heater flue had been in place for over 50 years, but the house inspector who inspected the house pending a sale found that the clearance between it and the woooden plate on top of the basement wall was inadequate. The problem was that the flue had an asbestos sleeve that had already been treated by an asbestos-abatement company to prevent asbestos from escaping into the environment, so the clearance had to be achieved without disturbing the asbestos. Another plumber who looked at the job could only recommend abandoning the existing flue and replacing the water heater with a direct-vent heater that would vent out the basement wall. Don Limes found a simple and reasonable way to achieve safe clearance without disturbing the asbestos sleeve. The solution satisfied the inspector and buyer.

All of the work was performed on time, which was very important in our tight timeline with other contractors. The work performed was excellent and the plumbers performing the work were very knoweldgeable as well as nice.
Description of Work: We had all of the plumbing for a half bath removed, a new water line installed for our refrigerator, a gas line installed for our new stove, and a farm sink and dishwasher installed.

+ -1 moreHe was very personable on the phone. He was prompt on getting the guys, Jason and Jason, to do the work. They were very friendly. I have a little toddler and they were accommodating of him. They did a really good job and they worked really hard. They even came out on a Sunday morning to finish something. They cleaned up after every time that they were here. When we were shopping around for our bathroom fixtures, and we told them who our plumber was, they were all very respectful and kind towards him. They had a lot of good things to say from their side of the industry as well.
Description of Work: We were remodeling our bathroom, and we called Limes to move some pipes, and then he had to re-install the toilet, the sink, and then he put in all new shower fixtures.

When I got home later that day after he finished my wife reported that she was happy that Limes Plumbing had been hired to do the work. He arrived on time, didn't make a mess, was likable, polite and professional. I was very happy with the work that he performed and felt that the cost was very reasonable.

+ -1 moreOutdoor faucet was leaking significantly. I thought that the whole faucet would have to be replaced as I couldn't disassembly the faucet to try and replace a gasket. I didn't want to apply too much force and cause a bigger leak before a plumber could come. Don Limes did disassembly the faucet and put in a new gasket. He also put on a new handle as the existing one was cracked. Liked that he called when he knew he was going to be late instead of keeping us waiting.
Description of Work: Fixed outdoor faucet that was leaking considerably.

+ -1 moreDON AND HIS ASSISTANT WERE GREAT. THIS PROJECT WAS NOT URGENT SO DON PUT IT 'ON HIS LIST.' IT TOOK A FEW MONTHS BEFORE HE GOT TO IT, BUT THEY DID VERY EFFICIENT AND QUALITY WORK. HIS PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE. I HAD HIM DO AN ESTIMATE ON REPLACING OUR WATER HEATER AS WELL. HIS PRICES WERE THE LOWEST AND HE SEEMS LIKE HE WAS THE MOST KNOWLEDGABLE.
