Levi's 4 Floors

The representative I worked with I had worked with before and she seemed very honest.

We went to one of their store fronts a few weeks ago and narrowed to our choice from Levi's. we are now down to purchasing from 1 of 2 places. We wanted to make our final decision on Labor Day because we are off work, and to be very honest out schedules are insane. I searched their website trying to find out if they were open with no luck. I then attempted to call and they only gave normal hours so we decided to take the time to drive over. There is not a store close to me so this is what I would consider a significant time commitment. Of course we get there and they aren't open. The simple inability to provide basic information on their website caused an inconvenience for their POTENTIAL customer. At this point, we will likely just purchase from the other company. Very disappointed.

We opted to go with Levi's 4 Floors after comparison shopping all of the local majors (Home Depot, Lowes, Rite Rug, Menards) Our main determinant was installed price and carpet quality and Levi's left the rest in the dust. Some of the others had decent floor-room pricing but their installed price was elevated after they broke out the additional nickel and dime fees (per-stair fee, threshold fee, seam minimizing fee etc). The same grade/color carpet installed was quoted $4400 via Rite Rug, $4270 at Home Depot, $3700 at Lowes and we did not receive a full quote from Menards but the estimate was $3800+) Levi's gave us a set price and we got an upgrade to an 8lb pad from the Angie's list promotion. The carpet we chose was a mid-range selection as the upstairs is a low-traffic area and we wanted bang for the buck. The carpet quality is solid and we are very happy with the pad. I will compliment Gary, our salesman as he did a very good job aiding us with the purchase and notifying us that we may secure a better price during an upcoming promotion they were running. He arranged for a measure in a very timely manner and we had the order placed within a couple of days. When I went in to make payment, the other staff was friendly, though not very attentive. My one warning for other purchasers is that if you are looking for a quick install, Levi's may not be your place - our order took a full week and a half to arrive from the mill and another week to be installed. This was not a major issue for us as we weren't on a deadline and used the time to remove the old carpet and pad and prep the floor with KILZ. But if you want next day install, another supplier may be better suited (though likely more expensive). The install day was the only negative piece I have to comment about. My wife was the point of contact the day of the install and the lead man (Jason) on the job got off on the wrong foot with her. My wife asked to verify the color of the carpet and the weight of the pad before they started install and he pretty much blew her off when she asked and said "Ehh well, it's close enough." She then went to another member of the team (Barney) who was much more approachable and answered her questions. She indicated that both other members of the team were polite and helpful, she only took issue with the team leader. The lead man also walked around upstairs and very flippantly asked about the painting on the floor suggesting that a few areas weren't fully dried, but determined later that they were. He walked around the upstairs very quickly and walked away from my wife several times while she was asking him questions and trying to talk to him. His disinterested and dismissive attitude upset my wife to the point that she called me at work and told me about it. I have had many contractors in the house and typically the professionals are very polite and attentive to the fact that they are in someone elses home providing a service for payment, this concept seemed to be lost on the lead installer. Being that our ultimate consideration was value, Levi's 4 Floors did an adequate job and we would use them again for this consideration. The company is indebted to Gary, who's great customer service and rapport edged out the negative experience we had with the installer.

They have quoted us $1,600 and they are on their way out here to measure today. We went with them because of their pricing and we felt like they were giving us options. They had a good product that was on sale and they were giving us options even within the range of the product that they were talking about. The sales person was very knowledgeable and understanding. He was willing to work with us and he understood what we were looking for. He was very helpful when we kept coming back into the store trying to find different samples of carpet, picking colors, and so forth. He knew what it takes to find the color of carpet to fit in a room considering our needs, and what we were looking for.

We had the sales representative come to our home and take the measurements for new flooring on our entire first floor. We had a really positive experience, the gentleman was very nice and helpful. They allowed us to bring home multiple samples to test out in our home. Very nice, professional, helpful, they bent over backwards to meet our needs. The installers called us on their way, showed up on time, everything looks great.

Decided to wait and look for better price. I know I was beyond the two year warranty but feel they should stand behind product a bit better than that....Not sure if it was the carpet quality that caused this but felt price to fix was high.

I went to their main website on May 28th and asked to be contacted via email concerning a hardwood floor repair in a newly built house. I received a response the same day which asked me some follow up questions. I responded the same night letting them know that Levi's had not installed the floor originally, that I did not have any extra boards and I sent some photos of the damage under the brand new leaking fridge... On June 5th I recent my email as I had not heard back from him. He promptly responded to my second email and said that their policy was that they do not repair floors unless they are installed by them but that he would still try to help me and he asked the style, number, manufacturer to see if the product was still available. I would think it would be as the house was just finished being built in October '12. I responded on June 8th that I had found some extra pieces of wood and that I would try to find out the exact brand, model and color. I recieved no response to this email. After way too long of me trying to figure out the info for the floor I sent them an email on June 25h with the exact information of the flooring. I received no response and resent the email on July 11th. As of today July 15h I have still yet to hear back with 1. Can you do the work, 2. A price for said work. I appreciated that he said he would try to help with the repair even tho they don't typically repair work they did not install. However, if you are not going to follow thru with helping then don't offer. It is a repair on approximately 5-10 boards and I realize that is not a large job for you but it is still a job. Way too much effort for a customer to go thru to try and pay someone to do work. Called a handyman today off Angieslist and will have the estimate here shortly. Should not have wasted my time with Levi's... *UPDATE - I have spoken to Art Levi and he appologized to me personally and is working to help me however he can. Will update with more info when available. **UPDATE - Art worked with me and provided me with an estimate for repair. We had issues in the beginning but the followed through in the end. I have updated my ratings for them as they have appologized to me and corrected the mistakes. Thank you!

Very well! Actually we used the Levi's 4 floors store on Polaris Parkway. The salesman was very knowledgeable and low key. No high pressure sales. The carpet installers were very professional as was the vinyl flooring installer.

The owner is Tom Levi. We know him pretty well, so there's never been any complaint. We are happy with the carpet. They are friends; we have known them for years. They are always prompt and they always take care of us. I am not one of those customers who just go in the door and need that. I have always had a good response with them. I probably get the better crew if he has got a number of crews out. So I have no problem with them.

We were very pleased. They did it in timely manner. They were very professional. The installers were as good as they said they were. The person who came to the house, did an exceptional job and delivered what she promised. We have no complaints.

Terrible! Every aspect of the job was a bad dream. They missed appointments, arrived late, messed up the measurements - twice! It took forever to get the carpet in after numerous delays. The sales rep had no idea how to handle our steps and the installers had to come back THREE times to get the job done and it still isn't done right.

The price is slightly above average but the quality is worth it.

The carpet installers did an ok job but we were overall not satisfied. The transitions from carpet to hard floor were done poorly. They reused our old metal strips and it diminished the look of the new carpet. The installers also knicked our walls pretty badly. What I found unacceptable is that in our walk in closet(we paid for the upgraded pad), they did not install any padding at all. They also tried to cover it up and not tell us but when I caught them and asked them, they said...if you want we can go back to the store and get more padding. Well I was tired and did not want to wait so I said no, but I have never forgotten this. We have to change our carpet again for my mother in law who is in a wheel chair and will need a different type of carpet to get around, so that is why I am looking for an installer. I would have appreciated having the same professionalism on the install side as I did when we were at the store picking out our carpet.

We chose 4 Floors because of the excellent reviews on Angie's List. However, I was not happy with the communication and service from my sales person. My sales person had made a number of mistakes (none of which were in my favor), and I submitted a complaint on the 4 Floors website. Tom Levi personally called me to apologize and make things right. He takes great pride in his company's reputation, and he definitely went out of his way to make sure that we were happy. Everybody makes mistakes from time to time, but Tom Levi did an outstanding job of correcting the mistakes. I've shared my experience with friends, coworkers, and family, and Tom Levi's approach is already paying off for him. My coworker just put down a deposit with 4 Floors to replace all of of the carpeting in his home! Keep up the good work, Tom!

Technician called ahead and gave approximate arrival time and arrived exactly on time. The young man came in and walked through with me and discussed different aspects of the job including request to have homeowner move the bed in the mate bedroom spit could be cleaned under. He then prepared the rooms by placing furniture on raised cubes. Then with a small wand, he pretreated areas where coffee stains were evident , making them disappear in that step. Then starting in the rear bedroom, he worked his way towards the stairway and down them cleaning as he went. The young man then reviewed his work before having me sign off and paying for it. Total time from arrival to exit was about 2 1/2 hour.

He bent backwards to help me and they did a great job. The woman who helped me, her name was Connie. I spoke with the owner, Mr. Levi via email. From start to finish, this company was incredible. From the person who helped me on the phone to Connie the saleswoman who came out to help me and the owner, Mr. levi, to the two men who installed the flooring that I purchased, everyone was just very knowledgeable. I just can't say enough about this company. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a carpet or floor. They also have a really great website where you can pick out the flooring or the carpet to see what it looks like in various rooms. It just makes it very easy. I am disabled so I couldn't go to the showroom to pick it out. They were able to come to me so between them and the website online, I was able to choose something I am happy with.

We contacted Levi 4 Floors via their website for an in-home quote for our basement flooring and Kevin was very quick to schedule a time to come up. I had provided a few photos of what the color scheme for our basement was, and Kevin brought a set of wood and carpet samples that paired very well with it. He was very professional and measured up everything and was able to give me a price quote right in my home based on the selections, though we did end up going to their showroom to select a slightly different carpet choice. Scheduling the installation spanned two days (1 day for hardwood, and 1 for carpet). The first day the workers were extremely punctual, called about 35 minutes before they would arrive, and worked diligently to get everything installed and it looked GORGEOUS. The second day the workers were just as punctual, but the didn't call. Of course I had also slept in that day so it was even more jarring. That being said, the two men installing the carpet knew exactly what they were doing and had everything done in no-time flat. And regarding the price.... well... I'm a bit of a penny pincher so the concept of spending any money usually gives me instant buyers remorse. I was a little worried that would happen here... but seeing the basement finished; I have absolutely no regrets. Kevin was pretty honest and upfront about the pricing and showed us that while there were certainly cheaper carpets in the showroom, the pricing on them often excludes installation (so that's extra) and would end up costing more overall.

The nstallation and carpet were both outstanding. It was more expensive than I wanted to spend, but it was a great job. I would definitely use them again. The installers did an outstanding job.

The above mentioned services went very smoothly. I appreciated the team at Levis on Reynoldsburg-NA Rd's willingness to work with us on style, price and quality selection. This part of our project was handled in a very professional and helpful manner. It is difficult to price compare in this industry, but we felt Levis was providing over the top service and are pleased with the manner with which they presented their products.

Once they got to the house to install the floor, they discovered a problem with the sub flooring in the house and corrected everything so the installation went extremely well.

We had used Levi's the year before to replace our pet damaged carpet in the great room and dining room. Our builders grade carpet wore out quickly after a few years, and Scott at the Polaris store told us that it was the bad padding that did in the carpet. He sold us pet stain resistant padding and a better carpet that was softer but very crush resistant. It was fantastic! We loved it so much we came back a year later to do the rest of the house. Luckily, Scott was able to get us the exact same carpet and padding and it was at a better price the second time around. The installers were great and didn't mark up our walls or hardwood floors at all. The carpet still looks great a year later and pet stains are not a problem. They clean up perfect.

The sales person seemed to listen to what I had to say and directed me to the samples that matched what I had requested, instead of pushing something else at me, and I appreciated that. The sales person came to my home and measured, worked up the quotes, and put everything in motion as soon as I finalized my decision. Two separate crews worked on this job. The first installed a new vinyl floor in the kitchen, and they did a fantastic job! The existing floor was so poorly done that I was very aware of all of the possible "gaps" that could come up, and they exceeded my expectations. Plus, the one gentleman warned me about the condition of the copper water line to my ice maker - it was crimped and he recommended that I get it fixed before it developed a leak. I've had several people who saw that line up close (including the company that delivered the fridge in July) and not one of them mentioned this problem. The carpet crew did a very nice job as well. I had no issues with any of the work performed. Overall a very nice experience.

Excellent service from selection and measuring to installation. We are very satisfied with the quality of the work and the end-product. There were two minor installation issues that needed to be corrected, and that was done without hesitation and in a timely manner.
