Leisure Pools dis an excellent job in helping us decide on and install a 31 x 15 fiberglass swimming pool (The Carribean 31). All members of their staff were so professional and courteous in dealing with the unusual concerns and difficulties of installing a pool in our awkward wooded site. It was astounding to see how they brought the pool down our one lane road, through the trees between our iron fence and landed it without damaging the pool or other trees. The enormous amount of rain that we had in June did not help matters either, yet they even worked nights to be able to finish as soon as they could. It gave us confidence in their sales staff when we were deciding on a pool when we could see that they were not trying tho oversell us on pieces of equipment that we may not have needed. The pool is just perfect for our needs. Our two dogs and a resident frog seems to have enjoyed the pool as well. Installing a pool, by its very nature, is a messy event and people should expect that a company may have to drive over lawns, and may damage some landscaping. It cannot be avoided. Some people expect too much and should be more understanding of the nature of this business. We would recommend Leisure Pools. They did a terrific job in trying circumstances.

We had several companies come in for estimates and they were in the middle, pricewise. They definitely talked a good game, and ultimately we chose them for their product, as it seemed to be superior to some of the competitors'. Unfortunately, from there it largely went downhill. We had issues with them starting from the permit application (we ended up getting the permit and variances on our own), and it continued to issues with damaging our driveway and the drainage system from our house when installing the pool (never told us they damaged it - I had to pay $450 to get that repaired). We had some issues with the depth the pool was installed, and ended up needing 53 tons of material to bring up the surrounding land to meet the pool depth. The pool is also a bit off re: being level from side to side; this is evident with any water on the cover or just measuring/looking at the water levels from one end to the other. Other issues also arose, but don't need to be elaborated on here. The only exception to mention is that there appeared to be some resistance to communicating and working well with the landscape company, which ended up being detrimental to both companies, as well as us. On a good note - the electrician they contract out to is a good guy, and Id recommend him. Im still not sure what happened here, but the concrete subcontractor placed a contractor's lien on our home from not being paid by Leisure Pools. We didn't find this out until we refinanced our home, and this ended up delaying that process by a month, waiting for the lien to be cleared. I was told over the phone that they didn't receive payment, but was also emailed by both parties that it was an error on the subcontractor's end. Im not sure what the truth is, but it was another unpleasant surprise that we may not have known about for years if we didn't refinance our mortgage. We experienced very poor communication with their company and were lied to on several occasions by Casey; we were also told a few things that were incorrect. In fact, communication and our interactions were horrible until after we filed a BBB complaint. Matthew, the owner, did improve communication significantly after that, and if our interactions were like they were at the end, I think these grades would have been more positive (they did get a bump up in ratings from the improvement at the end). He did end up meeting to go over the pool system this spring, which was necessary and part of our BBB agreement.

In the end we decided to pursue a vinyl option for the initial lower project cost.

Leisure Pools had the most helpful information on their web site. I visited their showroom and was impressed with the quality and the beautiful designs of their product, and with the thoroughness of their quote. I felt confident that there would be no cost surprises with the project. A representative visited my home and explained the limitations of my yard space and easements. It turns out that I can't have the pool I really like in the space I have available, and I wasn't happy enough with the smaller alternative to spend the money for it. If I had the room for the larger pool I would have gone ahead with it. I'm disappointed that I won't be working with them.

We are considering putting in an inground swimming pool and requested information and contact from Leisure Pools. They sent an attractive, generic information package. I was impressed with the package and called to talk to the owner/contact to get more specific information. He was on the phone so I left a message. After a week and no response, I sent him a detailed email describing our situation and asked that he contact me. After another week and a half there was still no response. So I called again and got some useful information from the individual who answered the phone and asked that he have the owner call. That was almost 3 weeks ago and still no response. If a company is not responsive to get your business, I wouldn't trust them to be responsive after they got your order.

The price was okay and the interaction was fine. They started the project when they said they would and finished it on time and that is a good thing. Their professionalism was fine. Nothing stood out good or bad, but I was pleased with their service.

Work was performed in a timely and professional manner.
