Much better that I could have hoped!

I was told the minimum charge is $159, no matter what they do. Needless to say, I did not take them up on their "offer". I was very disappointed because I have used this company once before to do something similar, and I think the charge was more like $100. Also, I have used this company before to move my entire house, so they made a few thousand dollars from my business in the past. You'd think they could cut me a break and make an exception (and charge a reasonable fee) for moving a couple of items within the same household.

The company was extremely professional. Leaders spent 2 days in our home. They arrived at 8am in the morning the day before the move to pack our entire home. 4 employees came to our home with a full supply of boxes, tape, and soft tarps to wrap fragile items. The packed our home in about half of a day and returned the next morning with 2 trucks for the move. These guys did a terrific job and were extremely careful not to damage any of our furniture and fragile items. We have many expensive furniture items and electronics and they wrapped all wood furniture pieces with protective tarps and were careful going through doorways and stairs. Use this company. The employees are terrific and work very hard. The entire move took about 12 hours because we had so many items to move and the process went great. The company also has a customer friendly department which will work with you for replace or pay for any damaged or broken items. In a move you will always have something break such as plates or glasses and they work with you to provide you a reasonable refund. You can also return any Leaders boxes they used to pack items as long as they are in good condition. They have a set value for each box size and I received a refund of approx. $200 after returning boxes.

We chose Leaders because of recommendations and the fact that they were about $1,000 under the other mover from whom we obtained an estimate. We were told that they would pack both houses on Friday and unload them one after another on Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon. Actually, they went fairly fast at one house and decided to start unloading it that same day which was not what we planned for. They went so fast in that attempt that they left many items unpacked, in some rooms multiple boxes, for no clear reason than that they were in a hurry. We were upset about that because it meant that they had to return the next day, and then we had to be in two places simultaneously. They broke the pediment of our china cabinet (the newest, most expensive piece of furniture we own) completely in two. They found paper for the floors that our contractor had left in the new house and proceeded to tape it to our new hardwood floors with their mylar packing tape. Needless to say, that tape will not come off hardwood floors. One of the movers decided to sit a box down on one our dining room chairs that SHOULD have been wrapped in padding, and the box had either blood or red marker on the bottom that transferred fully to the white satin upholstery of the chair. When we started unpacking, we realized that they had used tape over and over to wrap items up without using paper, and the tape would not come off of many of them without leaving them all sticky. We wasted countless hours of our precious time trying to get the tape off of all our possessions. There was no excuse for any of these mistakes. They were all amateurish and thoughtless. When we tried to get the damage repaired, we found that Leaders was holding us to a $100 deductible, which we resented, considering all the damage they'd done and the unacceptable unpacking experience they gave us. We had to deal with Andrew at Leaders many times over the next month or so. He was difficult to contact, but he eventually did return calls. He was sometimes polite and accommodating, but at other times gave us the attitude that we were trying to cheat him -- unimaginable under the circumstances. Some of the items were repaired to our satisfaction on the first service call, but it took two visits to the house and many phone calls to get all issues resolved. Leaders left their tool box at our house (brand new). I informed them, and they said they'd send someone after it; they never did, though. I've moved via professional movers six times in my life, and all of those moves were accomplished without significant damage except for this one. This was by far the worst moving experience I've ever had. Thanks goodness, they were less expensive, but if I had it to do over again, I'd go with the competition

This has been a nightmare. It started with the estimate that the packing would take 3 hours, given by Jayson, who came to my place to do the price estimate. Someone else, Jason, called the day before to confirm the pack date and said it would actually take 4-5 hours. It took a total of TWELVE hours. Why? I was told by one of the packers that they were distracted by me. They made several non-professional comments about me (and even to me) during the packing process. I went out to get them lunch and found pictures of me at the beach laying out on the counter (the pictures were all in a plastic bag so obviously they took them out). They didn't even show up with a Leader's moving truck. They had rented a generic Ryder truck. At the end of the 12 hr move, I was alone with 3 men I just met at 10pm and was basically forced to give them an excellent review on paper.They told me exactly what they wanted it to say. READ ON - here is the worst of it ..... They never crated my custom made dining room table as they promised. During the estimate, I told them my Roche Bobois couch was extremely expensive and had to be handled with care. This was never wrapped in moving blankets and now there is a large scrape on the couch and numerous scratches on the glass dining room table top and a large scratch on my Roche Bobois wood coffee table. They also never inventoried the boxes and obviously one box is missing. It contains the contents of 2 kitchen drawers, with utensils and serving sets. They are telling me that their "stance" is that "all boxes were delivered" and they refuse to refund me any money, even though I had purchased insurance with a $100 deductible. They also never unpacked as I had requested during the estimate. They knew this was a corporate move, and I was very clear that I wanted a "full move". It is not the money, it is the fact that the did not do what was expected in a very basic move and the fact that they are not willing to do the right thing.

Move was fine. Minimal if any damage to household goods. The crew was professional. The billing was absolutely atrocious.

Representative came to our home and gave us estimate of our move and temporary storage. We moved to two locations and both were handled very well - on time and with minor damage.

It went great. The movers showed up right on time and worked very efficiently. They were very careful with our furniture, especially our overstuffed leather couches. They were careful to not scratch our newly refinished hardwood floors and took extra care to not hit the walls in the house. They reassembled our furniture correctly and helped with a few extra items. As an added bonus, our movers were very humorous; cracking jokes and having a good time during the move.

Great overall experience. BJ and Tim were wonderful to work with. They were friendly, professional, and fast. When they arrived, I roughly doubled the size of the move by adding more things that I didn't feel like moving myself, and they were able to make it happen. None of my things were damaged, and they used carpets throughout my house to protect floors, doors, walls, etc. I used this company on recommendation of my parents and would happily use them again.

Recently our son moved to another state. Once he found a place to live, we needed to move his furniture from our home to his. We contacted several different movers and shippers. We received a wide range of quotes and methods of delivery. Leaders by far provided the best price, best coordination, and best overall service. I spoke several times with Jason F. and he was personable, efficient and helpful. Though our load was relatively small, I felt as if our business was truly important to him. The day of pick-up the crew arrived right on time. An inventory of the items was completed by one of the crew. The day of delivery, they were actually early and very quickly unloaded the van. My son checked off each item on the inventory list as it came into the apartment. Everything was in perfect condition. During the process I also spoke to two other people on staff at Leaders. Chris and another Jason were also helpful and personable. I would highly recommend Leaders for intrastate or interstate moving.

Mailed written contract with items to be moved, cost and mailed copies of Workers Comp. and liability insurance. Called the day before with a time estimate and called 30 minutes before on the day of arrival. Clean truck and workers, very polite and careful.

The movers arrived early and were incredible fast , clean and professional. I've used this moving company before and will again!

Our experience with Leader's was extremely positive. We began by picking up boxes so we could do our own packing. When I bought the boxes they helped me determine how many we would need, sizes, etc. and loaded them in my car. After our move we were able to return them for full refund. On moving day, the gentlemen who came were professional and courteous. They respected our things and made sure everything was moved efficiently and safely.

I had my big heavy pieces moved from my apt to my parents' house. The movers were on time, professional, and took no breaks! My couch wouldn't fit through the door in my apt, but they kept trying different ways to get it though. Finally, taking the legs off the couch made it fit. I liked how they didn't give up and in the process took good care of the couch with no damage! At my parents' house they moved quickly and shifted around a couple pieces when I changed my mind about where to put them. All in all, the move went seamlessly and I would definitely recommend to others who seek quality at a great price!

Overall it went well. We did have some damage to our furniture. So far they have been very responsive with working with us and their repair people. I called twice ahead of time and explained that we had lots of new or antique wooden furniture and some of it was very heavy but I don't think they were prepared for what all needed to be moved. It also took longer than I expected but I guess that was ok. The flexibility upon arrival as far as "add this" and "remove this" from the list was nice to have.

I loved them. They charged by the item and not the hour. They came when they were supposed to. The price was exactly what they quoted. They brought extra men and an extra truck to make the move go faster. Nothing was damaged. I could not have asked for a better service.

We found Leaders on Angie's list. Our initial contact was with Matt and he came the same day to give us a quote. He went room by room and made an inventory of the furniture they would be moving. The next day we received a quote via email. Matt also followed up with a phone call. The understanding was that the quote was a firm price and if we chose to add anything the cost would increase. Likewise if we chose to move an item by ourselves the cost would decrease. On Friday the crew arrived as scheduled. The first step was to take an inventory and since we had moved some of the original items on Matt's list the price was adjusted downward. The crew consisted of 3 people and they did an excellent job without any damage to our furniture. There was some minor damage to our former home and Leaders is taking care of this. We spoke with Brian and he was very cooperative when we brought the damage to his attention. The crew also did an excellent job unloading our furniture. Again there was no damage to any of it. We were extremely pleased with the experience and the professionalism of Matt, Brian and the crew. We would recommend Leaders Moving and Storage to anyone contemplating a move.

It was a positive moving experience with few glitches and minimal damage. We had a baby grand piano and a pool table. They were able to move the baby grand, which is a plus, because a lot of moving companies make you hire a piano mover. They also took care of scheduling the disassembling and reassembling of the pool table. There were some issues with staffing and a truck on the initial leg of our move that caused us to have to wait around for another truck to come back for the piano, but since we were only moving a couple of miles, it was not too bad of an inconvenience. Other than that, we were happy with the whole move.

The move went fast and efficiently. No problems at all. The movers arrived promptly at 8:00 AM and were finished well before noon. Note that this is the second time I have used Leader's.

These guys were amazing. They were almost running all day. I liked that they called me the day before to confirm our agreement. I liked that they had an online calculator to use to estimate your cost of moving. They did scratch the entry floor, but my floor guys showed up and fixed it. It was a good experience.

I phoned to get an estimate on moving and a company representative came out the next day. The estimate was e-mailed the following day. We were able to schedule the move within two weeks of receiving the estimate. They called the day before the move to confirm and to ask if there were any changes to the move. We had eliminated some items and they adjusted the estimated accordingly. The movers showed up at during the estimated time frame. It took about 3 hours to remove the items from the house and load the truck and approximately 3 hours to unload at the new house. The movers took extra effort to get the sofa into the family room in the basement at the new house. They attempted to get the sofa in the house through three different doors before they were finely successful.

Both moves went smoothly. We like Leaders Moving, for various reasons. One major advantage, in our opinion, was that they gave an exact estimate of the cost of the move. Other movers would only give an estimate of the cost per man hour, etc., with no exact number of hours specified. This could get very ugly, if their time estimate was significantly overrun. Leaders presented an exact quote and invoiced exactly that amount. There were no price surprises. We also appreciated that they seemed to take care of our home and our property. On both moves, they were careful to cover flooring near the doors. They also padded such things as staircase railings with moving pads, so that our woodwork, trim, etc., would not be damaged. Furniture was handled and packed with care, so as to prevent damages. They sent a three man moving crews to keep things progressing in a timely manner. Overall, we were quite satisfied with the move. We had also used them another time, about 12 years ago, in a previous move and were pleased with that move also.

Very careful with my belongings, courteous with questions, and did not hesitate to ask questions to clarify my wishes.

Overall it went well. My only complaint is that the 3 men that moved me were running behind schedule to go to their next job. I think they were getting a little sloppy toward the end. Somethings they moved would not fit through the doorways very easily and they did not want to try very hard to fit things through in different ways, which I found frustrating. Then they started putting things wherever and did not listen to me on where I wanted things to be put. This was because they were pressured to be at their next job site. I would use them again but I would tell them that if they are going to rush and be sloppy then I will go elsewhere.

All my dealings with this company were excellent. Every employee of this company was courteous, direct, professional, and answered all questions. They gave me a quote as to the cost and that was exactly the amount we paid. No hourly charges or hidden costs. Definitely would use again.
