How did it go? Definitely not as good as I expected from all of the other reviews I saw on Angie's list. The crew was very polite and professional. Our price was good and I like that we could get reimbursed for returning the boxes. In fact, I would recommend them to people, but there were so many things that got nicks and scratches on. I was so disappointed about that. We moved to Ohio by a different company years ago over 500 miles and the only thing that got a scratch was our freezer. Also, the person who packed our kitchen items forgot (?) to pack all of the items over the refrigerator, under the sink, the pot and pan lids, the items on the lowest shelf that were in the back and a couple of better dishes in the hutch. -- There were two things that I put in a claim for. They broke three spokes on my antique tea cart and loaded a pair of lampshades into their truck with no covering. Since it was raining on the day that we moved, the shades got streaked by the rainwater. They were very prompt in getting someone to our house to repair the tea cart. (We had to pay the $100 deductible.) They told me that since our lamps were over 10 years old, they were fully depreciated so they could not cover them. But as a goodwill gesture, they sent us a check for $25. -- They brought two trucks to load our things on. Either they didn't pack them as well as they should have or the person who decided how many trucks to send miscalculated, because my husband and I each had our cars loaded and we still had to make another trip back to get the reminder of the things (another car full). --- I had three of the plastic storage cabinets full of organized and folded fabric. I asked the person who came to our house to give us the quote if I should pack the fabric in boxes. He said that wouldn't be necessary because they could put plastic wrap around each of them and move them with the fabric in them. Big mistake. They did not put anything in the cabinets to stop my nicely, neatly folded fabric from shifting around. So any of the cabinets where the plastic wrap held, the fabric for the most part at least stay on the shelf they were on, but were all tossed about. One of the cabinets apparently opened when they were loading it in the rain because everything was just tossed back in the cabinet randomly. They got wet. So that means the fabric also got dirty. I had rewash a bunch of it. (One piece even got mildew on it because I didn't realize this had happened right away.) It would have been so, so much easier if I would have packed the fabric myself. It might have taken 30 minutes. Now I have been spending hours refolding, washing and organizing my cabinets again. -- I went on about this enough. You get the idea. Now I'm going to go back to refolding more fabric.

To start, I had to call a day before the scheduled move to make sure we were still on the schedule or when they were coming, etc. When the crew arrived they did inventory, we had several removals and some additions but of course the price went up from the quote with no explanation. Things were going fairly smooth until they got to our master bedroom suite, which is custom Amish made and a wedding gift from my parents. I told the crew it was going to be an issue getting down because we had trouble getting it up. To prepare for the move, I removed the handrail to our upstairs in order to be able to get the dresser and headboard down. I told the crew exactly how we got the dresser down but they had to figure it out on their own. As they did this, the top of the dresser (unprotected) scraped the textured ceiling. They finally got it down but it would have been better with a blanket on the top of the dresser. The headboard was even harder t get down. They crew fought with it for quite a while. We had it as far as we could and it seemed that if we just could get it past this one stair tread it would go. They were ready to give up so I got a hammer and ripped it out so the crew could continue. Once they got it further, it wasn't quite out yet. They had it face down against the main handrail column as they are jogging it around to try to get it out. As they were doing this the corner of the post was gouging the face of the headboard. I had walked away at this point to try to calm down. When I came back I see this and I see a blanket sitting on the ground right next to the column. I got angry and picked up the blanket to cover the post. I then express my displeasure and then the crew stopped and called their boss. They then continued to load up the truck. They ended up leaving the headboard upstairs. I understand having troubles but we did get it up there so it had to come down. Then they crew is careless and not using blankets to protect expensive furniture, that is what I have a problem with. After they unload at our new house and we begin moving stuff around I notice several other pieces of furniture have scrapes, scratches, and paint transfer. I do not know how they loaded the truck but it obviously was not protected well. I know this is a lot of information but I want you to know about our experience. I chose Leaders because of all the good reviews I heard and I see trucks everywhere. This was not the level of service I expected for $958! I would not recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic. Crew used was tremendous, professional and courteous. These guys were amazing and I'd highly recommended Leaders.

The movers showed up promptly on time. We walked them through the house and stacks of boxes to finalize the estimate. Once approved, they immediately began loading the truck. The two movers (one lead, and one helper) we careful with our items and curious. They did seem to get a little antsy to finish towards the end to wrap up. The only item which got damaged was the front of our washing machine door got scratched as they carried it out of the basement (tight doorway). It was cosmetic and still works fine. As for unloading at the new location, it went very smoothly and they put all the items in the locations we asked them to. The lead mover was great. The helper (younger) wasn't quite as careful or engaged, but didn't damage anything.

Great, worked quickly even though they are paid by piece, not the hour. Polite and pleasant; asked where we wanted items placed and were willing to relocate if we didn't like the initial location.

Very well! Loaded van in approximately 6 hours. Driver had rainy conditions during drive from Columbus to Illinois but kept going. Unloading was very smooth and completed in short time. No damage discovered.

I choose this company because they were recommended to me by family and friends and realtors. My experience with this company was HORRIBLE and my claim still hasn't been finalized almost 2 months later. All of the furniture that they moved was damaged. There were scratches on doors and walls, holes in walls and mud tracked in on new carpet and a window was broken. There was absolutely no padding used during the entire move and no shoes removed or shoe covers put on. The 2 movers they sent were heard cursing by our new neighbors.The movers complained about having to take apart and put our bed back together which was a service I paid extra for. They left their tools at the old house which I had to drive back to get for them. I was told the move would take less than 2 hours and it took over 4 hours. Unfortunately my experience with this company worsened when I called to complain. I had to take time out of my busy schedule to arrange to meet with several different contractors to get my furniture repaired. Our new leather sectional looked like it was scratched by a large cat all over the back and side. The contractors told Leaders that the sectional could be cosmetically fixed but not repaired. The company offered to give me $150. As a settlement for a brand new leather sectional. I quickly told them that was unacceptable. I am still in the process of trying to get the sectional replaced but we are still waiting. I received a call today while I was at work and in cofurt. I silenced the call and they called right back. I silenced it again and then got a text saying it was Leaders and they were trying to reach me. I then received 4 more calls back to back and I finally text them and said stop calling I am at work and in court and to just leave a voicemail. I never heard back from them. Never once has this company offered me anything for the hassle and inconvenience that they have caused me. I will NEVER use this company again and would never recommend them to anyone!

It was a very hot day, and they were fast and great.

The movers arrived on time and ready to go. Brian and Sean were very nice and professional. They handled my dad's things very carefully and were beyond efficient. When we arrived at the destination they were great to place (and replace) things for us. Brian, a military veteran, was so sweet to my dad (a WWII vet) and spent time sharing a few experiences with him, which meant a lot. We extra things to add to the move and that was handled quickly and for a reasonable price. My dad lived in a 10 story high rise so they had to navigate the move using only one elevator. They were very careful of the walls and furniture and had all of the necessary pads, etc. We didn't have a lot of big stuff, but tons of small things and they were just as careful with those things. They called over the weekend to confirm and get any special instructions. They were very communicative throughout the process. I highly recommend this company.

the actual moving of the household goods was outstanding. The movers were very professional and extremely polite. There was some confusion on unpacking the pod, however Leaders sent a crew Saturday to unload. We would not hesitate to use this company again and will certainly recommend their services to others.

I considered cheaper alternatives at first, but then decided to go with Leaders despite the price because of two referrals from coworkers. I regretted the decision pretty quickly. None of the furniture was wrapped prior to the move. I assumed movers would be handling this. As items were carried they were banged into walls and some of my furniture is now dinged up. I specifically offered mattress bags for my king size mattress and were told it wasn't necessary as they had nylon coverings. I took that to mean they'd be covering the mattress in nylon, that is not what they meant. My mattress was then pulled down exterior steps of my apartment and now have stains on that side of the mattress. I uploaded pictures of two of the four spots. The "nylon coverings" they were referring to are in the truck. Not much use when the mattress is dragged down stairs to get into the truck. Movers all wore shoes, did not put on plastic booties or use runners in my home. When we got to the unloading destination I scrambled to throw down some runners because my carpet was recently cleaned. I will say their shoes were not filthy, I just expected them to be removed or covered. Movers also shook out moving blankets on my carpeted floor, sending dirt into the air, and leaves and packing tape from previous moves onto my floor and then left it there. For the price paid, I am surprised at the level of service received. I would not use Leaders again.

A crew of three led by Ted showed up at 8AM exactly as scheduled to deliver the items. There were 23 itemized single-spaced pages of goods including over 400 boxes. The leader estimated it was about 18,000 pounds of goods. So each member moved 6,000 pounds of our items. This is the sixth move Leaders has done for us, to and from Columbus and within. Ted and his crew did an outstanding job. They were punctual, hard working, paid attention to detail, and pleasant to work with. I always know exactly how much the move will cost in advance due to their per-piece pricing, so there are never any surprises. Kudos to Ted and Leaders Moving.

Excellent. DJ and Bryan arrived as scheduled, were professional, courteous and very accommodating. Care was taken of all items, and the team worked well with the management at the new location. The coordinators at the main office were prompt and courteous. Everyone was a pleasure to work with. The management of the new residence provided a $50 discount coupon, which lowered the quoted price from $750 to $700. The move took approximately 5 hours. We are very satisfied with the services and will recommend Leaders to others.

Great - I tipped each of the movers because I was so pleased with the above and beyond care and attention they gave to my move.

It was very great. Overall, they were great. They had two movers and both were great. It's a nice company. I really like that company. Their responsiveness was very good. Their punctuality was good. They kept everything on time and removed them quickly.

Was simply a great experience. Jeff C. and Cory were our movers and they were just amazing. Professional, careful, and extremely helpful. We moved to the country and felt they were part of the team the whole time. Would hire again!

They arrived well within the two-hour time window and quickly & efficiently packed up her belongings. They worked very well together as a coordinated team. We also had them move furniture in the condo to make room for the furniture from the apartment. One of the pieces was a daybed with a trundle that required disassembly to get it into the destination room, which they did very well. They also moved an *extremely* heavy, upright antique player piano out of the living room and into the garage. They didn't leave a single ding or scratch in any of the furniture or the floors or the walls. They provided an absolutely FLAWLESS move as promised. Many thanks to Jerry O., Arnold M. and Mike G. We'd happily hire them again and recommend them to anyone!

It went great. They were helpful with the whole process.

I was bouncing between the new house and the old house getting stuff done while my wife was home with the movers. When I got back to the house my wife said we had an incident. When the movers where moving the treadmill from the basement upstairs they destroyed the walls on both sides of the stairway and the trim and the flooring at the top of the stairs not to mention the damage to the treadmill. At this point I was in a mad scramble because the house we were selling now had tons of damage up the whole stairs and the buyers final walk through was on September 8th at 2:00 pm. We took a couple quick pictures of the walls and immediately started patching the holes in the wall and putting wood filler in the chunks missing from the trim. I had to come back twice that night and then again the next day to re-apply and sand. It was so bad that my realtor had to come over and help me on the morning of the 8th. We had to work all morning on the 8th! Back to September 7th. I walked outside after putting the first coat of spackling on the walls damage. I noticed right away that they were stacking our new custom built dinning room table into the the back of the moving van and laying it against the kitchen table without separating them with a blanket. Thats when I noticed that they didn't use even half the blankets that were in the truck even though the truck was full of furniture most touching something else without in between padding. I figured I would take a look at the table and everything else once they got it to the house since it was in the truck and I still had to take the beds apart for them. They went to lunch for about an hour to an hour and a half. Once they got to the new house and started unloading I knew the table would be coming out soon since it was put in towards the end. They moved the table into the house and right away I saw chunks missing from the table (we had never once used the table yet). I called my wife over because I knew she would be upset and told her I would call the guys over and show them and make a claim. I had my wife leave because she was so upset. I wanted to stay and watch the movers but my realtor stayed with them so I could go back to the old house and pack more stuff and put another coat on the walls and trim. When I got back to the house they were nearing the end. I showed them where the last few things went then filled out the damage paperwork and paid them for the job ($1109.00). Now I didn't have time to look over everything because we had to stay at my wives parents that night because the house wasn't ready for kids yet and the next two days were spent fixing the old house damage they caused and getting ready for the rehearsal dinner. Then on Friday the 9th it was the wedding day. Finally on Monday we started to put the house together (I took the week off) how we wanted it. This is when we started noticing damage to more furniture. We noticed a tear in the leather chair, we noticed a chip in her desk (pottery barn), a scratch in the bookshelf, big dents and scratches on our dresser (Kittles) and my daughters dresser (Kittles). We found dents, scratches and a giant crack on the armoire (Kittles). Then we noticed a long indentation in the floor into the master bedroom and a smaller one upstairs in front of my daughters room and one in the family room. Then we started going through the downstairs and noticed the doorway and door was damaged again by the treadmill going into the back room in the basement (the treadmill is just heavily damaged). Then we saw the damage to all the kitchen chairs and a chunk out of the kitchen table and dents and scratches on the base of it (Arhaus). When we started the claims process with their claims person Deirdre Smith. Deirdre offered me a $100's for the damage to the house we moved from and $100 for the treadmill as an "appearance allowance". I said that was not anywhere near enough but she said $200 each was the most she could do. Then she said after I sent her pictures of all the damage up to that point that she was going to have a company come fix our stuff and that they also could fix the dinning room table but they would have to take it for 6 weeks! I told her that was not acceptable unless they were going to rent us another table. She said they could rent us another table but they could get us a card table....really!!!! I was just furious with the things I was hearing and I was furious because I was having trouble making any contact with Deirdre so I sent an email venting my frustration. I got a call right away from a guy named Derrick. He immediately scheduled a time to come out to the house and see everything for himself and apologized. I wasn't there that day to meet him or show him the damages but my wife did. He agreed that if our custom builder ([*** Link removed ***] of the dinning room table thought it needed to be rebuilt it would be. Also he scheduled to have a professional flooring company come out to the house and see if they could fix the floors and a custom furniture company they used would come out and fix the furniture either on site if possible or take it to their shop. The flooring guy came out and looked at everything. We gave him the information we found on the maker and style of the wood floors. He said he would look into it and get back with us. After a few days he called and said they didn't make the floors anymore but would like to try something one the piece that we found in the basement. When he came out and tried his technique on the piece of flooring he deemed the floors unfixable. Then Clark restoration came out and fixed some stuff on site and took some things with them (very nice guys) and even looked at the hardwood floors and took some pictures. Everything Clark Restoration fixed on site turned out great except my daughters dresser. Its an off-white but the color they put on it is a light pinkish color. I told Deirdre and we agreed on $250 but I have never been given and confirmation on that. The stuff they took with them we don't get back until November 2nd and then they have to take the kitchen table base with them and see what they want to do with the leather chair. I talked to Deirdre about the hardwood floors asked what we are doing about settling that claim. She said that Clark restoration said they could fix them for $1800 if they could find the exact wood flooring. I told her that the flooring is unfixable because the flooring is no longer manufactured. At this point she wanted to send another flooring company out to look at them. I said why? Two companies have looked at them and one said its unfixable and the other said its fixable only if we can find original boards that they don't make any more!!!! I told her I wanted $1,000 for the flooring since it will now be there for as long as I live in the house. She said she could only do $500 and I said thats not good enough. Again she has tried to get me to agree to have a third flooring company look at the floors because she said they are fixable if we can find the boards. I told her time is up! I have dealt with all of this long enough and will still be dealing with it as they have more things to fix but as for the flooring and my daughters dresser I want to settle. I want $1,250 total for the both and everything else fixed. We are now at a standstill. I have lots of photos of the damage as does Clark restoration.

They were on time, friendly and moved our items without problem. Finally cost was actually a bit lower then estimate. Would use them again.

The crews did a great job efficient with their time and with the packing!

Very smooth and easy. Very polite staff.

I paid an hourly rate and they did not move that fast I also did not know they would not move items that were not in boxes.
