Very responsive and easy to work with. They had the quartz I wanted at a significantly lower cost than I'd been quoted by another company. Neat and tidy and cleaned up after themselves, very nice, professional installation.

Very smooth, they charge extra for removal of old countertops, but their original price was low enough to offset this cost.

Did some research, they provided us with a great deal for our cabinets and granite counter tops. We were on a budget and all the other suppliers and big box stores pricing was absurd. The quality of the cabinets is really good similar to a middle tier branded cabinets but less the price, the biggest surprise is the granite counter top, it was really affordable. We did a price comparison they came up with the cheapest price quote for the same color compared to other fabricators. I will definitely recommend them.

It was fine - but if they want to call themselves a custom cabinet place - they ought to be able to do customized cabinets, no?
Description of Work: I called about getting a custom cabinet made to match existing cabinets to replace one that was over the range. They do NOT do custom cabinets, that is - they "only sell [their] cabinets". They probably don't actually make any custom cabinets.

The worked closely with us to ensure the cabinet layout was correct - tough with us due to some unorthodox off-sets in the kitchen. The only problem we had with the cabinets was simple and easily fixed. They sent us the wrong side for our Dishwasher end panel which was simply and quickly swapped out after it was discovered. They also left a carousel partly assembled, at our request, so we could make some changes to the hardware prior to installation - very helpful. After making the rounds of the granite suppliers, they offered to have us review the layout, prior to the first cuts, in order to ensure that the features in the granite that we wanted to be visible met our satisfaction. They provided samples then so we could shop for tile while awaiting the install. All appointments were on time and the workers were very thoughtful and courteous! They even took the time to repair a cabinet that we had improperly installed, in order to finish the granite counter installation. I would wholeheartedly recommend and use them in the future.
Description of Work: Designed the cabinet layout, built the cabinets, & delivered them. Provided the names of several granite suppliers plus a few installers. In the end we chose them for installation.

I walked into the business with my wife and we had samples of back splashes in our arms that we are going to have installed into our kitchen and we were trying to match it with some of their granite options at the Land E site. We want to do a complete kitchen overhaul and want to contract out the whole thing with one company: back splash, granite, sinks, faucets, cabinets, etc. We got no customer service whatsoever inside Land E. Nobody gave us a head nod, meet and greet, thumbs up across the room, or anything. We are not elitist or bourgeois but do expect some type of salutation in a place where we are ready to spend $10,000 plus. Let me reiterate that we were not window shopping but legitimately serious to sign some contracts and cut the check. We don't care if the Land E showroom staff intend to be kind or not, just Academy Award act and fake like you give a d*** when customers walk in the door and they couldn't even half a** pretend. As Ralph Ellison would say: we were and quot;invisible peopleand quot; and I don't know if it was a culture thing or what but the West side of Columbus, OH/Hilliard already has a stigma about it and this place just fulfilled a lot of stereotypes and prophecies. I guess our money is below them and we will now take our 10K elsewhere to another company that can at least do the basics like customer service when you walk in the door. If Land E needs further verification they can check their security cameras on 9/7 to clearly see what I am talking about.

It's important to note that they do not tear out your existing countertops. We had another company come out the morning of the install to take out our countertop, unhook plumbing, and return the day after installation to hook up the plumbing. I went out to their store to choose my granite and also purchased a stainless steel undermount sink. I set up an appointment for measuring, a separate appointment for the installation, and paid for half of my bill. A crew of 3 arrived for my 1-4pm appointment. Had no problems with the install and they were gone by 4. Very happy with my countertops.

Everything went perfectly! I went in to the store with my measurements and the nice lady gave me a wonderful price. I went back the next day and purchased the granite. The installers showed up a few weeks later on time and as scheduled. They were professional and finished up in about 4 hours. They cleaned up their mess too! I have referred them to our friends who also had a wonderful experience!

I chose Land E because the contractor I was working with to do a kitchen update had said he always had good experiences with them and that they were the cheapest granite provider in Columbus. As I was working on a budget, this sounded great. The initial showroom visit went so smoothly and the staff were so helpful that I put down a deposit that very day and scheduled installation. The earliest installation date was about a month later. The following week the measuring team came to take a look at my kitchen. Despite the time frame we had agreed on for measuring, the team called and asked to come by earlier than planned. Unfortunately I was at work and unable to get home earlier to accomodate them. The worker on the phone was somewhat disappointed and pushy when asking if they could come earlier, but ultimately acknowledged they would meet me at the previously agreed upon time. Once they arrived they were nothing but professional, courteous, and efficient. They even pointed out a few changes to the initial plan that were advantageous to me in terms of both aesthetics and cost. They also pointed out one potential problem area where the granite may not have enough cabinet support for the weight, which was able to be solved by my contractor in time for installation. Nobody else had yet noticed that this would be a problem. John and the team at Land E stayed in frequent contact with me to make sure the above mentioned problem was rectified in time for the installation. Because the additional cabinet structure needed to support the granite altered the final measurements of the stone, the team brought a larger piece of granite on the install date and cut it to fit the kitchen perfectly on site. The installers were also courteous and efficient. The first piece of granite they installed had a small crack in it that was not noticed until the piece was unwrapped. They pointed it out immediately and made plans to return the following day to install a new piece. The stone is beautiful. There are a few streaks that seem slightly discolored compared to the rest of the granite... hardly noticeable except for at certain angles and certain lighting, so I don't mind at all. I'd like to chalk it up to normal color variation, however the streak is too linear down the entire piece of granite to make me think this is just the natural stone variation. But again-- nobody else has noticed it except for myself, and I've already forgotten about it now that the counters are in use. Overall, I am very satisfied with Land E and with my new granite countertops and would use them again in the future.

Land E was very professional - they were very patient with us when we chose colors of quartz and granite, they gave us an honest assessment about the most economical way to do our bathroom vanity, and they installed all the countertops in a timely, professional manner. They even worked us in a little early so that we could finish our kitchen before a family gathering. The joint in the kitchen coutertop at the and quot;Land quot; is a bit rougher than we expected, and the sink in the bathroom vanity is ever so slightly crooked, but these are very minor issues and overall we are very, very pleased with our countertops and vanity top, especially for the price.

L and E Stone came recommended to me by two independent sources-- a co-worker who recently did some remodeling and a general contractor. I am very glad that I listened to those recommendations. L and E Stone offers good cabinets that are half the cost of custom cabinets. You would think that with pricing like that that you would get bad customer service or a substandard product. That is definitely not the case. What impresses me most about L and E Stone was how easy they were to work with. I am a rank amateur when it comes to remodeling, but John at L and E Stone worked with me as I submitted and edited numerous redesigns of my kitchen. Turn around times for new quotes were usually within a day and-- most importantly-- John worked with me over email, which was a plus given my busy schedule. Because I hired a contractor I did not have to arrange for deliver/pick-up of my cabinets, nor did I have to have them pre-assembled, so I cannot comment on those services. What I can comment on is that if you are a bit of a self-starter and willing to give up some of the trappings of custom cabinets, your first and last stop should be L and E Stone.

We primarily liked the price and the cabinets were very good quality for how inexpensive they were. They were very sharp and fast. We were doing an unusual project and we were able to explain it to the gentlemen there, they understood it quickly and were able to give us a good schematic about what cabinets we need and how to do the project our self. They were knowledgeable and helpful.

My initial visit to pick out the counter top and sink went smoothly, as did the final installation. I'm please with the actual counter top and sink and the quality of the installation. However, I paid my deposit in March, with the understanding that the third week of April would be when I would call for the final measure and then installation. When I called, I gave my name and order number and was told, no,they would not install or measure till the end of May. I reminded the gentleman that I had paid the deposit so that it would be now, and that was not acceptable since I had the contractors etc there now,and I was not going to wait another 6 weeks to use my kitchen, especially as I was told in March when I paid the deposit, that it would be in April .I was then told that I was pushy. I suggested that he check the order and call me back. They very politely, ( a complete change from previous conversation) called back and said they would measure that day and install in two days, as was agreed upon in March. The quality is fine, the installation fine, but that conversation would make me very hesitant to either use them again or recommend them.

At the recommendation of my contractor I went to see them about a bathroom countertop. There was no other customer when I arrived. There was a man and a woman working there. She was busy making/eating lunch and he was doing nothing. Eventually she asked me if I needed anything. I told her what I was looking for and she pointed to the wall and said, and quot; That is what we have.and quot; and then walked away. Eventually she came back and asked again if I needed anything. I told her I needed to know about what the cost would be. She walked away and came back with a paper which listed costs for the various marbles and for standard vanity sizes, she handed it to me and walked away. Clearly more concerned with her food than with me. At that time someone else came into the store and the man started talking to him. As I continued to look at the price list it was obvious that this wasn't another customer but someone talking about their website. As I was about to give up and leave the man came over and asked if there was anything I needed and I explained to him that my vanity wasn't a standard size and the price sheet wasn't helpful. He didn't act interested and just said, and quot;I don't know what that would be.and quot; and walked away. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I know.

Since one of our neighbors had a good experience with L and E, my wife and I made several visits to their showroom to obtain samples and secure an estimate for installing a granite countertop and backsplash on the seven-foot, double vanity in our master bathroom. The two sales people we spoke with in the showroom were extremely helpful and very knowledgable. We were impressed with their openness and thorough responses to all of our questions. We obtained an estimate on the third visit to their showroom, which was most reasonable in our minds, and we then scheduled a time for the measurements to be made. A very bright young man appeared precisely at the agreed upon time for the measurements. He also was able to answer some additional questions we had on the specifics of the installation. On the Saturday afternoon of the following week, the Land E crew of two workers showed up at the appointed time. They called ahead to make certain we were ready to have them do the work. I had previously removed the old countertop along with the two sinks and their faucets, so the actual installation of the new granite countertop and its two new sinks took no more than about one hour and a half. The two men doing the installation were extremely efficient and hard-working, and it was very obvious they really understood all of the details of installing granite, including the reworking of the backsplash so it was a precise fit under our full-length wall mirrow. They did a fantastic job! I watched them very carefully during the entire installation so I could learn about how it is done and, I must say, I was very impressed with the professional quality of their workmanship. The results were even more stunning than the smaller samples would have suggested. Based on our experience, one cannot beat the price nor the quality that Land E provides for granite countertop installations. We are planning to have them return to do countertops in two of our other bathrooms, and we would not hesitate to recommend them again.
Description of Work: We had a granite countertop installed on our seven-foot, double vanity cabinet in our master bathroom. I did the initial demolition required to remove the old countertop along with its two sinks and faucets, and I also installed the new plumbing fixtures after the new countertop was in place, so the installation price includes only the granite materials plus labor.

After checking out multiple granite installers we ventured upon Land E. They were open on Saturday, got to us right away, did a quick estimate and had scheduling for measurements set. They were fast in sending someone out to measure and then fast in the fabrication of the piece. We had a slight delay in the scheduling for the install but John handled it beautifully and went above and beyond in customer service. He really displayed professionalism and helped us every step of the way with the install. The guys showed up and were clean and neat and had the job done in no time and cleaned up their mess and left. From start to finish we are pleased with the overall job and have recommended them to friends and would use them again. Their prices can't be beat and the wait time is minimal compared to another installer we used a few years ago. We are very happy with the service and the product.

The vanity top was completed on time. The granite material was beautiful. The faucet holes were drilled as specified, the sink was attached, and the edge was nicely finished. The only slight problem occured when I went to pick up the sink at their shop and they had to hunt for the proper backsplashes to match the countertop. We received a very good value and will be sure to use them again when we do another job.

Went to L and E Stone Kitchen and purchased countertop and was instructed would install 6" backsplash to replace previous and they scheduled date time for installer to come out and measure. I was specifically instructed that they would not re-install the sink so I knew about that. Installer did come and measure and later installed. At no point in time did either representative or installer mention my responsibility to tear out old countertops and cost (though they itemized all other costs and discussed with me). At time of installation, I was there for beginning and left my son-in-law to stay during installation. AFTER installation, my son in law called and said they wanted additional funds for tearing out old countertops. I did not leave money for him to do that. I called and spoke withe representative who put me on the phone with manager/owner? I told him I was upset with the lack of communication and telling me about the "pre-work". I was told it was standard in their industry to take out the old and the customers responsibility, or if they installer does that then I pay separately...and that they had this issue before so they put it at the bottom of the invoice. I said I would have paid them if I had known, and I am not upset over the cost but am upset over the lack of communicaiton on this when they managed to tell me about all other itemized costs. I was also upset I would have to "undo" what was done to fix the fact the backsplash wasn't high enough to cover the ripped out mess behind and they just caulked over it without asking or giving me other options. I expressed I totally understand my mistake of not knowing what should have been done pre-install put me in this situation, though there were points along the way from measuring through install where further damage could have been prevented and I could have avoided additional cost to fix what is a mess now. It may be standard in the industry, but as a consumer I don't buy countertops every day and feel there should have been much better communication on this. I went to Home Depot and bought products to try and dig out the silicone caulk and fix just over the backsplash without scratching and messing up the granite. Home Depot told me they routinely install 1/4" higher or more if necessary to cover line wher torn out and to prevent further damage to walls. They said they discuss these issues and options with customers while offering more than the standard 6" backsplash. I also spoke with Lowes and they said they discuss these issues as well and even let customers pick out their pieces of granite. I chose L and E as a referral from a friend. I should have gone to Angies List instead like I usually do. L and E offered to cut the installation cost by $50 and charged the extra cost to my credit card since I did not have the cash to leave the installer when he asked at the end of installation. I told him again the issue wasn't the price and I gladly would have paid if owed and realized prior...but now I have a mess to fix and I think they should let customers know beforehand if they've never had countertops and backsplashes replaced. For the few hundred dollars I thought I was saving, it will cost me more because I will need to call a professional to re-install. Even after digging out the silicone caulk and trying to fix above the backsplash and recaulk with silicone..it looks terrible. I feel embarrassed to leave this report since I guess I should have just "known" all this, but I think great customer service is when the vendor informs the customer of what to do and what will look best and options to ensure thousands of hard-earned money isn't speant on a home-remodeling project that looks terrible when it could have been prevented. Now I have to find someone that knows what they are doing to fix this mess...I should have just gone to Home Depot or Lowes or called someone at the top of Angeis List.

If you are a perfectionist they are not the people for you. Here is why; Nearly 2 hours late for measuring appointment, window of time to arrive 4-8 did not arrive until almost 10PM! The gentleman who did the measuring waved my husband away when he was explaining to him that the doors were not on the cabinets yet (we were afraid they would scratch them). This resulted the overhang of the countertop to be short by 3/4" all around, it looks odd. If he would have listened he would have gotten the proper measurments. But he just dismissed my husband like he didn't know what he was talking about...resulting in inaccurate measurment and stupid looking countertop. Then the gentleman who installed the countertop did not make them level. I could see it before they left and I questioned and he said that the cabinets were not level when he arrived and he had to shim a lot. Which doesn't make any sense. Where he put shims the counter was high and where he didn't it was low...what was he correcting for? He made it unlevel, and I could visually see it. We know it was level before they arrived. We ordered a slide in range and when we slid it in there was a 3/8" difference from one side of the range and the other. The whole point of a slide in range is you want nice clean lines...not a huge difference form one side to the other. My husband had to lower the countertops and make them level after they left, because the installer insisted it didn't make a difference. Finally, they left a huge mess on our front porch from where they were cutting tile for our backsplash. He asked to borrow a broom but I have no idea what he used it for, there was crap all over our front porch. He left the front door open when he was grinding the granite, so there was dust all over the house. Not very pleasant. If you are a perfectionist this is not the company for you. They do not have an attention for detail. The only bright spot was Jennifer in the office. She was super helpful when we were in the office, very professional, gave us sound advice and guidance. Too bad the rest of the bunch isn't like here.

Sent in sketch of kitchen by fax and got accurate estimate for job. The countertops are prefabbed, which saves on cost. The actual granite is about 3/4 inch thick, backed by high quality plywood, 3/4". I see no downside to this. The bullnose (only edge offered) is bonded on the lower half, which in nearly invisible. The sinks they offer are good quality. You have to tear out your own old counters, but they will do it for additional cost. They don't do plumbing. The installation took about five hours. Yeah, there is a bit of a language barrier, but not a problem. The finished product is spectacular. Overall, an excellent value. I highly recommend.

Price is excellent - about half of other places. Countertop looks great. Backsplash on counter has some nicks in the corners due to poor cutting but we didn't complain because you get what you pay for and we chose a very dark color so it's not too noticeable. Installation of counter and backsplash went well. They cut the inlet piece on site since we have uneven plaster walls and made it too small so they threw in a backsplash for that piece at no charge. We did have to go pick it up two days later and install it ourselves, which I thought was sort of strange. The language barrier made me nervous but they did exactly what we asked. They polished the counter after installation and cleaned up well after they were finished. I would recommend this company to someone who is not too picky.
