KNOW Heating

On one of the coldest days of the year so far, the furnace in one of our rental properties wasn't working properly. As luck would have it, of course it was after normal business hours. I called one company to come out, and was still waiting on a return call more than an hour after they said someone would contact me "right away." After reading good reviews on Angie's List, I decided to call KNOW Heating; they responded immediately, and a technician was at the property within 20 minutes of my call. WOW! The technician called and gave a price for repair, but with the furnace being over 35 years old I asked him for a quote on a new furnace. It was a no brainer to get a new furnace installed. KNOW Heating was able to install the new furnace within 36 hours of my first call. The quick and professional service provided by this company was very impressive. We will definitely use them in the future as needed.

I use KNOW for my rental. It was only one worker that came out. I've had them install a furnace at my rental property and I like what they did.

M.Scott was the primary technician and he had an assistant. They were professional and worked for 10 hours on day 1. They did an excellent job with the A/C unit and made sure I had A/C working in the house even though there was more work with the furnace to be required. Day 2 the job was completed within 4 hours and they cleaned up everything and removed all the old equipment. They were both pleasant and professional. Very easy to work with and 100 percent happy with the job at completion.

Great customer service, very knowledgeable and helpful. Gave advice after identifying what was wrong and giving more details than I cared to know. Suggested I get other quotes to actually do the repair or replacement, not just from his company. If I want the best quality and know I'll get a good repair, will definitlely use this company.

On what was probably the coldest night of the year, my furnace stopped working properly. I called several companies for emergency service. Know Heating responded with the most competitive price. The Technician was very knowledgeable and even suggested lower cost options. One of the other service providers I contacted on Angie's List, who was highly rated, did not seem to care that I was out of heat. I would highly recommend Know Heating.

I've previously left a review for KNOW Heating but a recent service call has prompted me to leave another glowing review for this company and their staff. I woke up yesterday morning with the furnace blowing COLD air resulting in the house dipping to 54 degrees. It was awful! I called KNOW at 7:38am and though they were totally booked (understandably with the crummy weather!) the receptionist assured me they would be able to get a technician out the same day. At 10:53am I received a call stating the technician was on his way out. A response time of just over 3 hours is going above and beyond for a company that was booked with appointments! They sent the same technician as we've previously had to fix the problem and we LOVE him! He really knows his stuff and he's getting to know the ins and outs of our house very well so he's able to provide us with extra tips and suggestions. Ultimately, he was able to get into the furnace and get things working again quickly! We love this company and their staff and new customers should have NO concerns in choosing KNOW when looking for a great heating and cooling company!

I have opted to use Know Heating for the past year for my A/C and Furnace maintenance. They have a great pay as you go plan that is $15/month and it covers your service calls for those two items. We found them when our furnace decided not to kick on and Scott came out right away, and was able to fix it for the price of the service call. Love them!

I was VERY impressed with Know Heating. The carbon monoxide alarm went off in my house 2 days in a row and after a quick search on Angie's List I found Know Heating. I made the call and the receptionist was able to get a technician out that day! This was super responsive service that I didn't expect. The technician spent about 45 minutes in the house not only testing for carbon monoxide but teaching me how the alarm (and some of my appliances) work. This allowed me to understand exactly which appliances may or may not be releasing carbon monoxide. The technician also checked out a few things around my furnace in the basement and gave me tips on improving the performance of my heating and air. He was awesome! Ultimately, he determined that the alarm itself was probably expired (did you know they expire!?) and suggested I replace it. I replaced it the next day and haven't had any further alarms. I will be using Know Heating again in the future for sure!

Everything was fine. The tech that came out was nice and very knowledgeable. However, they charged me $300 for a capacitor I found later for $5 online.

They did a great job and I will definitely use them again. They have work ethics. They worked until it was done and did exactly what they said they will do. They helped me save some money.

Reconnected a very difficult heat run from our furnace to our recreation room that was a late addition to our older home

Called due to no heat in property. KNOW was able to expedite their visit and diagnose the issue and offered remedies. The quick service allowed me to move forward with getting the issue resolved.

I was so pleased with the service I would recommend them to my friends and family. I plan to hire them again in the spring to replace my air-condition system. They are honest, concerned about doing things properly and I trusted the person who did my work completely.

When they returned my call the tone was very unprofessional and rude. I asked about a $3995 deal and it seemed like they were going to delay service because of that dead. I then asked them about a $99 tune up deal and was told that the deal had expired. When I said that it was still on the website they became indignant and asked if my unit was working. Just a very bad experience.

AMAZING!!! I am NEW to Angie's List. I just bought my membership last month. Honestly, when I bought it, I thought, I'll NEVER use this, but we plan to move in approximately 3 months and I thought, "you never know." Then yesterday our AC stopped working, and the weather forecast for the next 2-3 days is 90 degrees! My "sweet" husband said, don't fix it. Fall is coming and we are moving soon. Yeh, whatever, I'm HOT! SO, after a long sweaty night last night, I couldn't take it anymore. This morning at 730am I got on Angie's List and I found KNOW Heating. They were at my house just before 10 AM!!! Heaven sent! Not only did he fix my AC in record time, the fee was ABSOLUTELY REASONABLE and WELL worth my sanity until we move. My "sweet" husband doesn't know how lucky HE is that KNOW came and fixed our AC. Words can't express how happy I am. Now, me and my 13 year old dog are relaxing in the cool on this hot and humid day! THANK you Angie's List and THANK YOU KNOW!!!

We had a very pleasant experience with Know. I called at around 3PM and someone was able to show up the same day. Our technician was very knowledgeable and walked us through every step that he was performing. He assessed the situation and gave us options including having the work done on our current unit or opting for a new unit. We decided to fix our old unit and the work was done correctly and at a reasonable price. Our technician even showed us how to clean our unit in the future to keep it working better.

The technician arrived on time and began investigating the reason as to why my a/c stop cooling. The cause was a burnt wire connector to the compressor. The tech also inspected numerous other components of the unit and explained how/why/etc. during the whole process. I expressed my concern with spending too much money on an old unit upfront and the tech agreed. There were a couple services which he could have performed, but he stated they were more preventative maintenance, and wouldn't likely impact the life left of the a/c unit, so he couldn't advise me to spend the money to perform the services. I appreciated the honesty and didn't feel like I was being nudged into purchasing a new unit. I did inquire on installation of new a/c and furnace and the tech spent an additional hour inspecting my whole HVAC system to determine what my house would need rather than picking one out based on square footage alone. I would challenge anyone to find someone as knowledgeable as this technician was in HVAC design (very impressive). Overall, I only spent $39.50. Angie's List has a deal for $39 which saves you $0.50, but hey as cheap as this is, why not just call them direct as they always honor the $39.50 and Angie's will get a cut of that $39 if you buy the deal through them. I'd rather give them the money so they can continue honoring that ridiculously cheap service fee.

Next he set about quoting the installation of a new furnace. He showed me the various options and did not push me towards a more expensive furnace than we needed. Still okay. Then he started talking about the difficult installation, the work-arounds, the upgrades he was going to "give" me because his boss would never know... definitely not okay. Like everyone, I like getting a good deal, but I want an honest good deal, not some sort of sneaky deal. I called Wolfe and Sons. They installed a comparable, name-brand furnace (same efficiency rating & guarantee). They did not claim there was anything unusual about the installation, they did not offer me any "off-the-books specials" and it cost me $1000 less than KNOW would have been. They even called me recently to follow up and are going to come out free-of-charge to make sure the a/c is working properly with my new furnace.

Great experience. The technician arrived on time and took his time to explain everything he was doing and showed me how to do it myself in the future. Very satisfied with both workmanship and quality of customer service.

The company called ahead stating a tech was in route. The tech Scott was punctual, knowledgeble, and very courtesy. For each item he was checking an explaination was given. Very satisfied with the quality of service.
