Kitchen Remodel Company

I feel frustrated, angry, disappointed. They come only one or two days a week. They said it would be done in six days and we are now on our fourth week. Every step of the way, there had been delays. They have one guy who is very precise and his work is excellent. The carpenter is excellent.

I have never in my life dealt with someone who is as unprofessional as the owner of this company. He turned this kitchen project into one of the worst situations I have ever experienced. On top of his complete and utter disrespect, there were several mishaps and complete disrespect for our home along the way. It started with our lights being installed. We have had drywall work done in our house previous to this and the contractor always made sure to lay material down and shop vac'd everything when he was done for the day as well. After the first day of our lights our entire kitchen was covered in filth from the floor to our appliances to every single thing that had been on our counters. There is still residue between the wood on the floors that I can't get up. When he said he was leaving for the day I was a little bit shocked and asked if he was going to clean the area. He said they would once they were done with the kitchen. So in other words they wanted us to live with the filth for a week or longer as it turned out which is what they did. During the kitchen process they put wood boards on the floor to protect them which I did appreciate but that also just caked in the dust even further. When I text "Tiger" the owner that I was disappointed that everything was left so messy he didn't even acknowledge what I said. During the time they were working on the kitchen they backed into our garage and caused damage to the siding, left our kitchen trashcan outside overnight after they had used it as their ashtray, and broke our water dispenser line in the back of our refrigerator. Each time I was more than nice when approaching him about the situations. When they were finishing up and the boards were being taken up, I called Tiger when I realized no one was there to clean up the kitchen. He had ignored me with the first text I had sent and then again when I had followed up to make sure someone would be there to clean up. When I called and asked when someone was going to be there to clean things up, he nothing less than absolutely exploded. Mind you this is after each issue he would say things happen and they were actually doing a great job in minimizing issues. Basically not taking any responsibility. It is listed on Kitchen Tune-Ups main page that they will absolutely make sure everything is clean each day they leave a person's home and yet here I have had to bring it up multiple times after everything else that had already happened only to be completely screamed at to the point I was shaking and in tears. Fast forward now to me contacting them after they said they fixed the line on the fridge they broke because I was hearing loud noise from the fridge. They said they would check to make sure nothing was leaking. I find out later checking for leaks meant they moved the fridge out and back and nothing else because the noise stopped. Two to three weeks later we get a call from the water company saying we had an excess of 9000 gallons of water used. We pinpoint it to the day they broke the line on the fridge. When I brought it up very calmly to Tiger he seemed like he would do whatever he could when he came to my house to discuss. It was a whole different story when he was on the phone where he went off on me again when he found out we wanted someone to check our foundation because that just seems pretty logical when you find out 9000 gallons dumped into your crawl space. He said he wasn't going to help us at all, and we could settle it in court. After he calmed down he decided to have his insurance take over after which he was still trying to blame it on us by saying the line was brittle. He decided to pay his guy to fix it rather than have his insurance cover it. I had later sent him an email regarding our garage damage. He had not mentioned anything after sending the initial proposal over a month previous to my email saying we would get a credit. I sent him an email with a quote that I got from someone on Angie's List. He then responds to the text saying he will no longer communicate with me about anything and will only discuss with my husband. My husband wanted the whole issue to be done with and even though the quote was for $900 told Tiger to my dismay that we would consider it done if he gave us $200. After stringing us a long and once again trying to act like they didn?t cause the damage he finally agreed to pay the mere $200 to cover the damage but only if we don?t leave any negative reviews that could affect his business which felt like blackmail. So basically in a nutshell the price was better than the competitors and the kitchen turned out nice enough but never in my life would I ever deal with this person with this business or any of his other business he has listed for himself. I would have gladly paid the additional cost for someone else to finish our kitchen in a professional, respectful manner.
