+ -1 moreI told him that I appreciated his return call, but that there were enough other tree services that offered free estimates that I would not be interested. He did come recommended from neighbors, which is why I called him.
Description of Work: I was called back in a very timely fashion. I was told that they did not do free estimates and that it would cost for them to come out. The fee for the estimate would not be applied to the final estimate. Not interested when there are so many other choices.

Description of Work: David Kennedy responded immediately to my request for evaluation and proposal of treatment for Emerald Ash borer. Later that same day he emailed a proposal of 4 options and the cost. I had six trees treated and a shrub evaluated. In addition David answered questions which I had regarding the trees and provided me with written material about pruning, mulching and turf surrounding my trees. He was extremely knowledgable and willing to share information. I felt that he was upfront about the uncertainty that the trees will survive. I wanted a certified arborist to get the best evaluation and recommendation; David provided that.

+ -1 moreHe did the first treatment in March and the next one in May. The first service was for $250 and the other one was $115. I wouldn't have used him again if he hadn't done a good job the first time. I had no problems with him. He was very personable and easy to get along with. He seemed to know what he was doing. The scheduling was fine and I didn't have any trouble with it. I don't have any idea what anybody else would charge for that so I don't have anything to compare it to. I actually called another person but he didn't return my call. He does two procedures and depending on who we call, they might do another one that's more invasive on the tree. There are different procedures we can use. He uses what he is particular to but if I call somebody else they might use more invasive treatment.
Description of Work: I used Kennedy's Arboriculture to treat my ash tree.

He responded quickly to answer questions, and set a time to look at the tree, provided lots of information on the best way to care for trees, provided a detailed description of recommended work, and prices in writing. Once we agreed on the work to be done, he was out there quickly working hard to complete the work. Everything was done to my satisfaction.
Description of Work: Completed an assessment of the condition of one of my large trees. Made recommendation for soil analysis, and vertical mulching. Completed both these tasks.
