I submitted a website inquiry about the possibility of installing vents into solid glass black windows that were already installed by the previous owners of my house by an unknown company. I got a e-mail from the Columbus Glass Block president that day (which was a weekend day) stating it was no problem and to give them a call on Monday. I called and lined up an appointment for measurements to be taken. The representative didn't show, and we were busy anyway so I let it go for a week or two. When I called back, the company was very apologetic about the missed appointment and sent a representative right away. As soon as the measurements were done (to verify which vent would be necessary), we lined up an installation date. The installer showed up on time and did a great job, even having to squeeze a vent into a tight location in the finished part of the basement where the ceiling is lower than part of the window.

After getting through the scheduling process (staff seemed relatively inflexible, but the salesman got the schedule worked out), the work was performed as described, in a timely fashion, with excellent clean up.

They did a good job. We were pleased with their services. They did a quality job and got everything done on time. They were also friendly and polite.

They were good in explaining the difference is price. They serviceman that did the work was on time, friendly, and informative. They cleaned up fairly well.

The employees are very friendly from the man who gave me the estimate to the men who put in the glass block.

My installer, Jason, arrived promptly, introduced himself, then checked out my basement windows from inside the basement and from the outside. He went to work removing the old windows, replacing them with the new glass block windows. He placed two windows with vents, and one without a vent. He was thoroughly professional. He cleaned up well behind himself, and showed me how the vents worked, but advised me not to pull on the vents until the mortar was fully dried. He finished in a timely manner. I was very pleased with his work, and the windows looked great! I would recommend this company to anyone.

I would say that this went very well, and I would definitely recommend. It was a one day job they came when they said they would and were done within a reasonable amount of time. The quality is extremely good, exactly what we wanted.

It was a pretty good experience. Our old windows were extremely old, and one was broken, the new windows let in a lot more light and keep wind and rain out better. It also helps with the ventilation.

This was the first time I had used their services. They came out for a quote and scheduled a time to install the block. They came on time and did a good job.

I live in a condo and I needed to get an approval to do this work. I was lining up the work ahead of time. They were so quick to install the window from sales call I had not gotten the condo approval for the windows yet but it was not problem.

They did a terrific job prior to selling the house. We will definitely use them when we remodel the bathrooms in our new home.

Columbus Glass & Blocks came and did the estimate ($1200) for 4 windows to be replaced, will let you know how well of a job that the Glass company did.

John Carter did the estimate - He called when he was on the way and was very prompt and professional. Another guy (Travis ???) was out to do the work and was also very prompt and got the work done quickly and cleaned up when he was done. They both took the time to explain everything to me.

He came and did all the work and cleaned up afterwards.

It went absolutely wonderfully. He did a beautiful job and I know I'm going to save money with these kind of windows. He could accommodate us by the price and the time we needed it done. He knew what he was doing and you could tell that. Out of the three companies I looked into he was the most personable and professional. He wanted to make sure we were happy. Glass block windows are the way to go, not only for security but for insulation.

Company responded immediately to my request for an estimate and was timely in meeting me at my home to do the estimate. Very courteous salespeople and installers. Cleaned up thoroughly after the installation. I was very pleased with the completed job. I needed the job done on a specific day and they were able to meet this request with no problems.

This was a positive experience from start to finish. The representative, John, came to my house within a couple of days of my initial call. He was on time and even called the to let me know he was on his way. John made suggestions and took the time to explain the whole process to me. He provided me with a no pressure estimate that very reasonable. Richard installed the windows and he did a great job. I explained that the walls near one of the windows was getting wet when it rained. I asked him to let me know if he thought it was the window or if he saw some other problem. He discovered a place in the cinder block where water was coming in and filled it with mortar. The problem is now solved. Richard did a wonderful job cleaning up after the job was finished. He made sure I was satisfied with the work before he left. I am very happy with this company, the work they did, and the windows. I thought replacing window would be a real hassle. Fortunately, I was wrong and it was very easy and pleasant. I did get an estimate from a different company. It was a little cheaper. I chose this company because I wanted mortar between between the individual blocks.

The gentleman that came to do the estimate was very pleasant and the man the sent to do the work did a great job. I felt comfortable with both men in my home.

They installed the glass block in the basement, bathroom and where a heating unit use to be.

I think this company gave us quality service at a very good price.

I found this company on Angie's List and because of their excellent reviews, I decided to have them replace my windows in the basement. We did have a couple scheduling snafus at the beginning, but the company was very quick to fix that. Travis installed the windows and he did a great job; the windows look great. He even added a nice touch and put some mortar on a brick in my basement that is sticking out a little bit. He cleaned up after himself very well and was very pleasant. I feel comfortable with this company knowing they have a lifetime warranty on their product and feel they are very responsive to their customer. I would highly recommend Columbus Glass Block and am satisfied with their services.

Great!!!! Our estimate was given to us in a timely manner. It was close to others in the industry. The company was flexible with scheduling to fit my time. The work was completed on time and without a problem. I even liked the ability to pay the remainder of my bill by authorizing a new charge on the card I had on file from my deposit. Everything was clean when our installer, Felix, left and I love my windows.

This was one of the most professional businesses that I have ever worked with. The representative was out a day or two after my phone inquiry. Installation took place within the week. The windows look great and the installer made sure that I was satisfied. I also received a company phone follow-up within a couple of hours after the job was completed to inquire about my satisfaction with the work. I really was amazed with how much everyone involved went over and beyond the customary type of service that is usually expected in the business world to make sure that I got what I wanted.
