Overall, I was very pleased with the finished product. It took less time than I expected and he cleaned up afterwards. I would highly recommend this company.

Overall it was a excellent experience. Great customer service and friendly installers.

They built the glass blocks at their company and then they put them in for us. They have been great for energy efficiency. They did a great job, and charged a reasonable price.

I was very pleased with the service from Lillie who took my call, John who came out to give me an estimate and Richard who put the windows in. All were very friendly, professional, and helpful. I felt the price was very resonable and wondered why I waited to have the work done.

Stated succinctly - beyond excellent. Due to our house builder's oversight/screw-up, a bay window in the kitchen was installed over one of the basement windows. There was/is no way to access that window from the exterior of the house. Therefore, 34 years' worth of dead leaves, mulch overflow from the flower bed, and general debris had accumulated in that window well. Naturally, when the young man (sorry, I forgot his name) who was installing our glass block windows removed the casement window, a lot of that debris tumbled down into the basement and I am sure he had to clear out a lot more than what just fell in to be able to install the glass block properly. I had told him not to worry about it; I would use my shop-vac to clean up the debris on the basement floor after he had gone. After he left I went to the basement to do this clean-up and I very pleasantly discovered he had cleaned up so well there was no trace of that debris. This means he not only cleaned up the area, but also he had bagged all of that debris and taken the bags to his truck to haul it away!!!! Wow. I am/was very impressed with quality of professionalism this young man had developed so early in his working life. This young man is going to be successful in any career path he takes.

They responded quickly after our initial phone call and were able to schedule an estimate within the same week. Salesman had a no pressure style and was very responsive to our desire to price out the options and then gave us time to choose what we want at our leisure. I like that! The workers came early. They were good at confirming what we needed and did the job very quickly. They cleaned up after themselves which was good. Pleased with the results.

Excellent! Travis was professional and did a great job with the installation. There was a problem with the vent door and subsequent communication issue with having it replaced but bottom line it got done and was done right. I would absolutely use these guys/gals again...great price, great product, great people.

The person who was to come out for the estimate was unavoidably late. But, he had called ahead and told me why and how long it would be. It wasn't much of delay. He was pleasant helpful. Travis, who came to install the windows, was polite and professional. Travis cleaned up after the installation. The windows are wonderful. They let in so much more light and I feel much more safe and secure with the windows.

The installation appointment was schedule for later in the same week. Travis arrived today on schedule to install the new glass block windows. He did an excellent installation job, cleaned up after finishing and spent time with us inspecting the windows and reviewing features, maintenance (very little of that), etc. All in all a very good experience. I do not anticipate having any issues with these windows and fully expect if I do CG&B will fix them. We especially like the extra security these windows provide in addition to the improved lighting and attractiveness.

Great experience from initial call to the installation. John came out to provide a quote and was punctual and very personable. Travis did the installation very efficiently and on time. Will use Columbus Glass Block again if the needs arise.

From start to finish it went like clockwork. Had the estimate and within a week the windows were installed.

I was very pleased with the initial contact. I called and left a message after hours. I received a call back the next day from a very friendly person. We scheduled the appointment for an estimate and she followed it up with an email about the company, her picture and a bio on the person who would be coming to my home along with his picture so I knew who I would be opening the door to. I was really excited! What great customer service. Then they tanked. I received a call mid-day from the guy who was supposed to come out to my home to meet with me at 4:30 pm on a Thursday. He explained he was 5 min from my home and that he'd just measure my windows and drop off an estimate. I could call with any questions. He basically told me right then and there he didn't want my business. He was in my area at that time and I wasn't worth the trip back. He did leave a written estimate but it was for only 2 windows. Had he met with me he would have known I had 3. There were probably some other things that would have been good for him to know if he had met with me but he'll never know. I took my business elsewhere. I think this is unfortunate because for a company that does more than glas block, maybe if I had had a good experience with this, I may have used their other services. 11/28/11 - Based on my report above, I received a phone call from the company president. He asked for me to explain what happened and then he shared what happened regarding my appointment. He said the guy I was supposed to meet with had a personal matter that he was trying to deal with and hence resulted in leaving the estimate without meeting with me. I can appreciate meeting conflicts and I also appreciated the phone call. Sounded like this was truly a rare occurrence type thing.

They installed a glass block window in my basement area for a bathroom I was adding a couple of months ago. I liked the work enough to have them come out and do 3 more windows. John Carter was my salesman. John was very responsive to my calls and questions. His quote was provided on site when he came to do the estimate. The installer was prompt, professional, and left the area clean upon completion. I will use them again for my future glass block needs.

John arrived promptly and gave the estimate. He showed me photo samples and discussed the pros and cons of different patterns and advisability of having vents in all windows based on my basement's structure. The installation was within two weeks of the estimate; my schedule was considered in arriving at an appropriate installation date. Felix did the installation, and he also arrived promptly. He worked steadily without a break and left the area clean with all debris removed. Both John and Felix were polite and professional, answering all questions I had. I based my choice of companies on the Angie List posting. All new windows are the "Ice" pattern, and they all have vents. A coupon on the Angie List site for new customers ordering three or more windows was honored, so the price was $100 less than what it would have been without the coupon. I was extremely satisfied with this home improvement experience, and I certainly would recommend this company to others.

We got an estimate from this company and one other. This company was 10% more expensive but had a much better rating on Angie's List. Work was performed 8 days after we called back to approve the estimate. Richard was on time, did an excellent job, and did a good cleanup afterwards. I will do some touch-up work myself, such as painting mortar, which I understood up front was not part of the estimate. Pulling the old metal frames out of the wall was a noisy business, but Richard did it without damaging anything, as far as I could see.

The whole experience was amazing. Both the salesman and installer arrived on time for their appointments, and the work was done within the time and price quoted. The new windows are well made and installed and look a million times better than the old ones. They even took the time to fix some of the mortar in my cinderblock walls that had fallen out. I couldn't be more pleased with the results.

The man who came out to give me an estimate and show me their products was very professional and courteous, John. The installer, Travis, was very good too, he was efficient , thorough, and clean. The new windows make a world of difference and I enjoyed working with both of these employees!

I called on 6/10/11 to make an appointment for an estimate and the appt was set for the 14th. He arrived on time and was very professional. I chose the type of block and installation was setup for the 18th. The installer arrived a little late due to bad weather but he was quick, courteous and the work was done in less than an hour. I would use Columbus Glass Block again.

The job was done very professionaly.He cleaned up everything when job was finished. It looks great.

We wanted to add a mail slot into our front door sidelight, this is not a standard choice. The company was very willing to work with us & told us what size mail slot would fit with their blocks. They incorporated the slot into the sidelight design so it looks like they do this all the time,; I was very pleased! My family schedule caused a delay from the time materials were ordered until they could be installed. The company was gracious about accommodating my schedule & came back to recheck measurements before the final installation. The installer showed up on time, worked steadily & did a wonderful job. I am very pleased with the results. We now have working air vents in our basement windows. The windows are secure even when they are open. The basement now seems open and airy which is important since I work from home & my work space is in the basement. We had five basement windows & a floor to ceiling front door sidelight replaced. I was told ahead of time this would be an all day job. The workman arrived on time & finished a couple of hours early. He did not clean along the windowsills as thoroughly as I would have liked, but overall, it was a job very well done. I am pleased & will use them again.

Their sales representative was very nice. Had pictures of work they had done previously which I found helpful. They sent an email out before he came with a biography and picture of him, so we knew who he was and that was a nice security measure that they took before he came into our home. Work was done very quickly, scheduled within a week after our estimate.

I was able to get someone to come out for an estimate the same day I called...was informed of my options for the windows, with pros/cons of each type...was able to schedule the install within 2 weeks...installer was nice, professional and efficient...windows were installed in less than 2 hours...look great, exactly as expected! Everything went smooth from start to finish, A+. I am very happy with how they turned and I would recomend them to anyone. They had the best price and they used block made in America, which is very important to me. The other quote had done, I had to specifically ask for block made in America (they default to an indonesian supplier).

This was one of the quickest and easiest jobs we have had done around the house. I called to schedule a quote on Monday; John stopped by on Wednesday to look at the house, take measurements, and leave a quote. My husband called John on Thursday with a few questions, paid a deposit by credit card, and set up a time that fit in with our schedules during the following week for installation. (He even mailed a copy of the credit card receipt to us.) Felix arrived promptly as scheduled to install the windows. He was quick and cleaned up thoroughlyThe windows look great, and we were very pleased with the entire process. I wish we had done it years ago.

Was looking to replace 4 basement windows and a garage window with glass block. I called Columbus Glass block due to their good ratings on Angie's List. They came out and gave me a free quote. I found John Carter, who gave me the quote, to be friendly, thorough, and professional. He explained everything completely. I decided to replace the sidelight by my front door as well. He explained all pricing completely. We set a date for installation. Originally it was going to be a 1 man installation and was going to take most of the day. Turns out they brought another person so they finished in about 4 hours. They were very clean and the workmanship looks great. Great experience overall.
