They were on time punctual and did all that I had request in my estimate, the crew most of them were very professional, with the exception of me hearing one of them standing outside my window cussing somebody out on his cell phone, that I did not appreciate hearing. Otherwise it was a good experience. Also I was waiting for a insurance check so when they called me to say they were coming that Friday I had not received it and I told them that I could reschedule, they stated that they would bill me so, later that day the check came and I was able to mail my payment into them.

My experience went well. I have recommended them to other people. They were professional and prompt. They also come and dug my stump out. I also had called them back for additional estimate and they never showed up.

Called for an estimate on removal of a 30 ft pine tree. They came out and left estimate within 2 days. They were the lowest estimate but I decided to go with another company that said they would also grind and remove the roots that had grown on top of the ground.

They said they would be out within the week, but never showed. I have been calling for 3 weeks, and I keep getting voice mails. No one has returned my calls. If they are too busy to do the job, they should just say so. I have started my search over to find a company who wants to do the job.

They came and trimmed all of the existing trees and removed an old tree. I like to be home when the work was done and I was able to be home and they worked with me on a few extra things since I was there to observe the work and they did the work without extra charge. They stuck to their schedule so I was able to be there. I would definitely recommend them. Dennis Howell was on site to supervise the job.

I called on a Tuesday and was told I would have a quote on Thursday. Thursday when I got home there was a quote on door. I called back and left a message to have the tree removed on Thursday. The next Monday I had not heard back so I called again. They told me I was on the schedule and they would get out in the next few days. The following Thursday the tree was removed and the stumps were ground out. My only issue was that the holes were left empty. I was told they would not haul any of the ground out stump away, but I thought they would at least back fill it. I did not ask them if they would leave the hole empty so I guess I should have asked that.

They arrived on time and did the job quickly and efficiently.

They returned my call quickly and was out to give an estimate the next day. I thought the estimate was within reason. I called Dennis to let him know we would like the job done and they said they could do it within days. When they did arrive Saturday morning, they were quick and cleaned up after themselves.

They were excellent. I would use them again.

Overall, the job went very well. The crew was punctual, efficient, and courteous. The price was right for the work being done. I had to call multiple times to get updates regarding when they would come out. They never committed to a day, just that they would be out "sometime this week". They pushed me back a week because of storm damage. I didn't mind because I wasn't in a hurry. I didn't push them to keep the original schedule. I would hire them again.

Their prices were literally half of their competitors. This was a totally dead tree that was threatening to hurt the house. The owner came out the day of the estimate and went over everything with me. He also stopped by briefly the day of the work. They did very good clean up after the job. We were very pleased with this work!

The shrub was an arborvitae in front of the porch, and it had dried up interior branches and brown needles dropping to the ground. The area surrounding the shrub was limited by concrete porch, sidewalk and other plantings, and I was advised there may not be room to get the stump removal equipment in, but they would be able to cut the shrub down to ground level. I was also informed they couldn't schedule it right away, but they agreed to take care of it on one of my days off. They called back exactly 4 weeks later, and it took them all of 5 minutes to cut it with a chain saw and haul it away. There was no debris cleanup that I had to take care (maybe just a twig.) Nice clean job.

It went very well. The crew was well organized and functioned in a very professional manner.

Gary gave us an estimate one day after we called him that was $300 less than the next lowest estimate. We were surprised that his price was so affordable given the ratings he has received on Angie's List. His team showed up on the scheduled date bright and early and didn't waste any time. Half of our ash tree was down before I even headed to work. When I returned home from work, the trees were gone, the stumps were ground at least a foot below the surface, and huge piles of mulch were in their place. (If I would have known how much mulch those stumps would generate, I would probably have paid them to haul it all away.) I was contacted later that day for payment- even before I had arrived home. I told the woman on the phone that I would call her back once I had seen the final result. I called her back that night; she was in the office well past 7:30 p.m. to pay by credit card over the phone. If you're looking for fast, efficient, affordable service Howell Tree Service is the way to go.

They were on time, gave us a very detailed estimate, and did an absolutely great job.

They did a fantastic job. They came out did what they said they would cleaned up and left. They had a good price and when they left you could not even tell they had been here, the clean up was so good.

They did a great job. They were prompt and cleaned up after themselves. I had requested an estimate a year ago and they still honored the price. They were unable to grind the stumps because of a fence I had but coordinated with another contractor to do the job. They even took some old branches that I had cleaned up prior and some old firewood laying around at no charge. It was all done in one day. I would recommend them to anyone

Company did not return initial call. Called a second time and set up an appointment to meet and discuss services. They did not show to appointment and I have not heard from them.

The man's name is Gary Howell and he is extremely nice. They also were very responsive. They were professional and the work was extremely reasonably priced. I've paid a lot more for a lot less work.
