First off to the person said only people who forgot the rules complain, you're an idiot, I've read all the terms and conditions over & over, i'm not getting into detail but when youre trying to fix a 23 year old a/c unit and say rust isnt a normal "wear an tare" , 23 years.... come on... Cheapscapes, save your money go somewhere else, ridiculous, 4 weeks NO air...

Experience was horrible. Called the company because we realized that our warranty that we got when we bought the house expired a month ago. We received no notification to ask if we wanted to renew, etc., so I called to see if we could. The rep. was very dismissive and said that we could not renew it, but she could put us on a list to be contacted(phone or email)in 3 months to see if we wanted to renew then. When I asked why we couldn't just do that now, or why they didn't call, e-mail or even send a letter to try to get us to renew a month ago when it expired, her response was "I don't know, I'm just telling you what my superiors tell me to.." I was prepared to pay today to extend our warranty, but she repeatedly said she didn't know why they worked the way they did and she couldn't help me. So I will gladly give my money to service companies if I need to use them instead of to this company for providing unacceptable customer service and clearly having policies that make no sense.

So far so good. From what I hear though if we had some major issues some things might not be covered at 100%. Good cost compared to other companies, but sometimes this policy might lack in the coverages. I will do some research before using a company that my wife and I are going to pay for.
Description of Work: Home warranty was paid for by the sellers on our new house. We are using HomeGard based on their choice. We have had some heater issues. They agreed to waive the $100.00 deductible after our first provider was not able to help. Out of the 5 choices for service providers only 2 will actually work on our furnace. Not a lot of choices in that.

It really has been great for us to have. It's more than payed for itself to have this home maintenance contract. People tell me Home Gard is the best one out there. When I call, they know what to do.

We have been using their services for about two years. The warranty came with the house when we bought it and we had good experiences with them, so we decided to renew it. We have used their contractors approximately five times and they were all good and were all Angie's List companies. They have saved us a lot of money.
Description of Work: They provide the yearly warranty for our house which we have renewed once already.

Homegard seems to offer a decent warranty. They have several vendors to choose from for each area; plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, etc. so you have some choice. Overall, I've been happy with the warranty.
Description of Work: I purchased my home warranty through Homegard and have used my warranty twice now for some plumbing problems I've had. The deductible seems a bit high ($100) but the two service calls I've had to make have been worth it, I think.

The experience with finding the plumber was kind of unpleasant. They are not very flexible, nor are they polite.
Description of Work: I used them to find a plumber and an electrician.
