Description of Work: I purchased this company's Angie's special for a kitchen remodel design for $45.00. The design was very high quality and the owner was very professional. In terms of value for dollars spent on the design - it is very high. We used this plan to obtain other competitive bids and his quote was twice as much as the next closest competitive bid. The only other issue, was punctuality. Twice we were scheduled to meet with the owner and he was late or missed it & had to reschedule. HOWEVER, the special price for the design and finished product is a great value. I recommend it.

Description of Work: They were supposed to provide custom consultation for a kitchen (and bathroom) remodel. The scheduling of the consultation went well and it appear the actual consultation went well. But, it went down hill from there. I had to track them down to get the plans electronically almost two weeks from when they said they would deliver it. I still am waiting to receive the plans and any kind estimate of pricing. Plus the plans I did get electronically did not appear complete. Our kitchen is a triangle and the plans they provided only included two sides. The third side is the one we were most interested in because that was the one we were going to completely change. I contacted them again, they said they would check to see if they got the plans mixed up. It took another email from me another week later to get a response that they think they sent the right plans. As of now I am completely unsatisfied with what was delivered. I think am more disappointed that this was an Angie's List deal. Apparently I made a bad assumption that Angie's List would screen the deal providers. I doubt that I will buy another deal from ANYONE on Angie's List deals. I also am now very skeptical of any recommendations provided on Angie's List and come renewal of my membership will have to think long and hard about it. The one thing I am glad about is that I did pay full price to get horrible service.

Description of Work: I responded to an Angie's List Deal that said we would pay "$49 for a Custom Kitchen or Bathroom Design Consultation with 3D Plans". Tom came to our house and was on time for the appointment. We spent 2 hours discussing the job during which I asked him if it was OK to take the design to other places to get their price and he said that was fine. He encouraged me many times to go to the showroom he worked with and look at their granite and their backsplash designs and said he had a girl who would help me there. When he left,

 + -1 moreHOME CRAFT WAS NOT COOPERATIVE IN RESOLVING FURTHER WORK LEFT UNDONE; ISSUES ARE STILL UNRESOLVED. OVERALL EXPERIENCE- TOTALLY EXCRUCIATING AS IT TOOK ALMOST 2 YEARS LONGER THAN EXPECTED. THE COST BECAME PROHIBITIVE, AND I AM STILL SKEPTICAL AS TO THE COSTS BEING ALL MINE. SINCE HE HAD OTHER JOBS AT THE SAME TIME, I SUSPECT MY BILLS INCLUDED MATERIALS & TIME ON OTHER WORK, NOT MINE. ALTHOUGH A FEW CHANGES WERE MADE DURING CONSTRUCTION, THE EXTRA COSTS WOULD NOT AMOUNT TO THE EXORBITANT COSTS THE BUILDER ADDED ON. THE CHANGES WERE MINOR.

THIS WAS STARTED BY A PREVIOUS BUILDER WHO DUG THE FOUNDATION & PUT UP BASEMENT WALLS, THEN LEFT JOB AT THIS POINT. MOVED TO ARIZONA WITHOUT INFORMING ME (NOT PAYING HIS SUBCONTRACTOR) I THEN CONTACTED HOME CRAFT TO COMPLETE CONSTRUCTION.

I started this in March and because he did not schedule in the people to do the job and it is now September and he is still not done with the others jobs that we discussed. There were many other projects that I had originally thought that I would use him for but because of his scheduling issues, will not be using him for those other projects.

 + -1 moreI called Home Craft Remodeling because of all the great reviews they recieved. After having to reschedule twice, they came out to review the work that I wanted to have done. I was looking for a company to come out and repair rotted trim on the 2nd floor of my house (soffit and fascia and some roof boards that needed replaced). The guy reviewed the house and said he'd stop by later in the week to drop off an estimate. A week later I called to see if the estimate was done and I was told it wasn't but that he'd put it together over the weekend and then call me with the estimate. One month later, no call, no estimate. In my opinion, if you can't do what you say you're going to do, you're not that great of a company. Learn to treat clients with a little respect.

They were very professional and the only one out of 4 contractors to show a computer assisted design of our bathroom and kitchen project. I will have them do estimates on any projects we do in the future.

Workers, such as Lonnie, were first-rate--very neat and did excellent work with fine attention to detail and cleanup. An upstanding and honest organization throughout.
Description of Work: Replaced oak kitchen cabinet doors and drawers, matching them to existing cabinet boxes. Built new glass cabinet and new buffet. New lighting, hardware, and granite countertops.

A SALES MANAGER CAME TO OUR HOME, TOOK MEASUREMENTS, AND DISCUSSED WHAT WE WANTED. WE WAITED FOR ABOUT A MONTH BEFORE WE CALLED TO SEE IF AN ESTIMATE WAS READY. THE PERSON WE WORKED WITH WAS NOT AVAILABLE, BUT WE WERE ASSURED HE WOULD GET BACK TO US. HE DID CALL, AND WE SET A DATE FOR A WEEK LATER WHICH THE REPRESENTATIVE CANCELLED ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE. APPARENTLY THE REPRESENTATIVE HAD SOME HEALTH ISSUES. WHEN I CALLED THE COMPANY THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE TO TAKE OVER THIS QUOTE. THE REPRESENTATIVE DID FINALLY CALL, AND WANTED TO COME DO OUR QUOTE, BUT WE WERE WORKING WITH ANOTHER COMPANY BY THEN.
